Relax to the retro sounds and nostalgic beats of this Synthwave mix, created specifically for the enjoyment of Battletech and Mechwarrior fans. The retro '80s aesthetic of Battletech matches perfectly with this retro-inspired music.
These retro-futuristic sounds make the ideal background music to a Battletech or Alpha Strike game, or indeed ideal listening in a seedy backstreet bar on Canopus IV while you enjoy some well-deserved R&R.

Really loving the resurgence of interest in Battletech and Mechwarrior. Makes me hopeful maybe we'll see more content for this legendary setting.
I hope we see ian get catalyst games and piranha games together in coalition. A league of some sort. Perhaps it could lead to aâŠâgolden ageâ of battletech
It's beautiful to see, isn't it! I can't wait to see what's in store for us in the Battletech Kickstarter next month.
I've been playing BTA 3062 and It has once again made me realize how much I NEED another battletech game from HBS.
@@HandleMyBallsCZcams Hells yes! I'm really surprised they didn't make a sequel set during the Clan Invasion. The recent resurgence in the IP would guarantee interest in it
@@JasonSkye I feel like the original might not have sold insanely well, though I might be wrong about that. I certainly don't hear that many people outside of the fandom talk about it, though that might also because more strategic, turn based games like these especially coming from a relatively small indie studio are a bit of a niche thing.
But who knows, I'm sure HBS would jump at the opportunity of making another turn based BT game, whether they'll get the chance to make one is another thing, fingers crossed!
the sounds of lasers searing the air an their targets plates, the beats that remind you of the rhythmic thumping of Autocannons and Missiles, the warble of your allies comms as they tell of your victory. the sounds of perfection.
Hells yes! đ€
The lasers make plasma, the autocannon smells of burnt powder. The SRMs smell gorgeous, the LRMs smell even better. I just wish I could smell any of this in my cockpit.

Steel fists ready to be swung.
@@JasonSkye I wrote it. Inspired by the music here.
Can you imagine how epic it would be to have a Battletech game with the WarThunder system? like, seeing shots penetrate armor and hit vital machinery, Watching as armor gets melted away with each hit, aiming for enemies ammunitionâs to cause ammo destruction and immediately disable limbs?
Seeing the trajectory of a round that penetrates the cockpit, narrowly missing the pilot, only to explode behind him and send lethal shrapnel cascading through the back of the pilot seat?
Jesus... we can only hope, one day, for a collab with Gaijin.

Hot damn that would be amazing! The slow motion camera that follows the shells through vehicles is such a cool feature.
Dude, I think about it constantly. I might just grab Unity and do my own thing. I'm never going to get the game I want unless I make it at this point.

I literally started playing mechwarrior 5 because of how awesome this playlist sounded and I couldn't resist listening while actual mech fight.
I wasn't disappointed
That's great to hear! Glad you enjoyed it đ
As a Mechwarrior let me just say my Giant Mechs are loving these tunes. Right now Iâm in my 10 miles deep giant mech hangar and it might as well be a discotek in here. These giant mechs are swinging their energy blades & shields like glow sticks, some are gyrating on the armory cranes while shooting their thrusters to the amusement of the giant mech crowd, their tossing shells and artillery rounds like dollar bills, Iâve even seen a few sneak off to the maintenance/repair wing for some heavy action if you know what I mean đ. After so much continent crushing, asteroid smashing, interstellar defending missions these giant mechs really needed this,
Thanks!
Haha I hope they have some mech-scale smoke machines in there đ
Just alpha'd my eardrums. â€
Too much FWOOOOM or just enough? đ
Perfect for a few rounds on the ol MWO! Thanks a million, mate, love your jams! đđ
The first mix feels like you just encountered an enemy Steiner scout lance. Terrifying, yet glorious.
Hells yeah! đ€ Those damn Steiner scouts will be getting a mix of their own in the future đ
How can one resist the nostalgia of MechWarrior? Those games were my life during my tweens!
Hells yeah the nostalgia is strong in this series! For me it was when I went to university đ
I remember playing MechAssault on the original Xbox when i was a kid, never played the MechWarrior games though. Pretty similar?
@@ftlfrog8738 Same world different perspective. MechAssault was alright. In MechWarrior you were a singular pilot and operated solo or in small groups. You would acquire and manage different mechs and customize the loadouts; you do all the moving and shooting too. It was pretty slow and clunky, especially by today's gaming standards, but it was good fun.
Play the TT version.... the new plastic miniatures are just..... **chef's kiss**
And make sure to check out my channel once I start posting videos of my own. Battle Bound! and Black Pants Legion are also great content for the Mechwarrior/Battletech universe. :)
Playing MechWarrior full HOTAS with pedals right now player. Time to dust that cockpit off merc.
Let's set the scene. 4 Mercenary MechWarriors, hired as "security consultants" by ComStar are off duty in a seedy night club in Crimson, Canopus, Magistracy of Canopus. Two ex-FedRat pilots looking for a quick C-Bill (One from the Outback and a through the ranks promotion, the other an upper middle class academy grad from New Avalon), a Steiner minor noble running from trouble, and a Kuritan who keeps saying stuff about being Rasalhaguian and independent who is trying to gain experience before fighting the oppressor.
The music is thumping away in the background and this is where they all first meet, having been hired individually by ComStar and sent seperately to Canopus.
They must now work together to help ComStar and Canopus find out the source of these periphery pirates that show up in Canopian space to land on worlds near the settled edge of the realm to abduct people and take them to places beyond.
Welcome to Canopus, the year is 3025.
This just HAS to be the opening to a Battletech TV show đ
Imagine Kerensky's shame if he had to see what his people became.
@@JasonSkye If only my AtoW campaign writing were that good. But I appreciate the sentiment.
OK. I want it to be known that the only reason why I was running from trouble in my homeland, was because I was actually competent as a leader and mechwarrior pilot at both the academy, and on the field! Also, I wanted to be known by deeds and not by who my family was and how much money, er, I mean prestige they had, which was apparently a bad thing.... dummköpfe!
(Sighs and then swigs another Dunkelweizen.)
@@AnonJuggerbot Canopus was like that before. Why do you think the Good General bolted after the war?

Thank you for your kind words! I love to see so many fans of the franchise come together in one place, it's beautiful to see đ
Been playing Battletech with my dad recently. He has been into it since the 80s, and I've been into 40k and wargaming for a few years now, and it's a great way to spend time with him. Definitely gonna show him this :)
It's great that you are able to play with your family! I hope he enjoyed the tunes đ

The year is 3057. A struggle for power fuels a society of warring clans. Bitter infighting perpetuates a universe of unrest. War is constant, victory is temporary, and cease-fire is nonexistent. A pause in a stream of salvos is only a signal to re-calibrate crosshairs and redirect missiles. Time is scarce before the next unrelenting mission begins. For a MechWarrior, war is life and death is the only true peace.
I'm taking my comprehensive exams for my PhD right now. Locked in a room for 12 hours a day for 4 days writing dozens and dozens of pages. The Magistracy is such an underrated gem of a state. Oh sure, they say itâs space Vegas, run by mommy dommies⊠but itâs a lot deeper than that. The Magistracy has a top notch intelligence agency that actually works for its people, it manages to keep itself out of disastrous wars (for the most part), and always manages to get its opponents to underestimate it. The lost planets within Magistracy space hold lost treasures like Dictator dropships, lost research facilities, and all sorts of interesting oddities. Cybernetic doctors, pleasure circuses, and their unique âPennyâ heavy mech.
You can have it all in the Magistracy! Whatâs not to love?
don't forget literal catgirls đ€Ł

I remember the late 80s, knowing only that minimal background coming with the play rulebook. And immediately setting my campaign in the FWL with Andurien and Canopus as the main villains.
It's great to see you still interested all these years later! Do you still play?
@@JasonSkye I was more into the RPG, anyway the gaming group is long gone. But i still write some Battletech related stories. Played the Succession Wars boxed game during the lockdown and lately saved the Aurigan Reach with the pc game.
Lightning crackles in the heart of the storm,
This steel colossus, my battle form.
An iron titan, against threats sworn,
By dawn's first light, a legend is born.
Echoes of thunder rumble in the sky,
As I stomp through the battlefield, where foes lie.
Missiles blaze, leaving trails on high,
Their futile challenge, a mere outcry.
Shields ablaze with an ethereal glow,
Reflecting the moonlight on the fallen below.
Through the dark night, shadows grow,
But in this steel cage, fear I forego.
Steel meets steel in a resounding clash,
As I engage foes with a devastating smash.
From my cannon's mouth, the bullets flash,
Turning opposition into nothing but ash.
Through smoke and fire, this battle rages,
Each act of courage, history's pages.
With iron resolve that never ages,
Victory the song that my heart engages.
Rising above the clamor and the din,
With each hard-fought and precious win.
In the echoes of battle, a chilling hymn,
An orchestra of valor, playing from within.
The sun will rise on a battlefield quiet,
Bearing witness to the overnight fight.
In the heart of the mech, the warrior's delight,
Victory's song echoing in the first light.
This is magnificent, bravo!
My lance dropped somewhere in the periphery yesterday to this, great work, we were back about the same time the mix ended.

ANA-1E Annihlatior. Quad Large Pulse Lasers, Twin ER Large Lasers (The ones the mod allows) and Quad Medium Pulse Lasers and as many double heat sinks as well fit that can be found.
