I've been playing since December with two characters and I basically do the dailies on each character, both are now 400 paragon with about 12-15k plat each. My gem game is kinda weak though. 4 party dungeons get a little tough to consistently run. I can do all the other dailies no problem. Class change keeps it fun cause you always get two different play styles a day.
50% of the time, I already know what you have to share. I f2p and have become very efficient in my daily routines. Today being no different. The other 50% I get some non p2p ideas I may be able to twist into a way it becomes f2p. The way I do this is with platinum. Awakening lvl 10 lego gems is just about the only thing platinum can't buy. This being a MASSIVE wall between f2p and p2p players but can in fact be subverted to a limit. After 3k resonance I got nothing but the $$$$$$$ answer.
8140 keys/yearx0.1e(because you can get 150 keys for a nice price once/week) = ~ 900 euro/year 7100 gems/yearx200plat/gem=1.420.000 plat = ~3500 euro/year 109.500 plat/year (about 11.000 orbs) = ~ 300 euro/year 200 crests/year (we count teluric pearls, weekly+event+events) (20cr~100e) = ~1000 euro/year --- Total~5700euro/year (the orice conversion is intentionally favoring playing the game) Let's say you get this is for about 365 hours of grind (1h/day, that again is in favor of the game as you need someone that does this tasks very fast) that means you generate about 15.61euro/hour. I quit last week as I decided the game still doesn't feel rewarding enough or incentivizing me to play. The new feeling the game had for the first months are long gone and since late September- early October it felt like a grind to play. Not only that I don't feel rewarded enough as a F2P, but I have no hope of ever be on par with people that: a) play 10 hours/day and have the gear upgraded to the maximum since the prices of upgrading are intentionally stupidly high and will keep getting worse b) people that spent 120k on this game and now have all the 5 star gems maxed out c) both. I think I'll study, maybe if I get a good job I can outpay the lost resources in a few years ( if I ever decide to give the game another chance)
I think that FTP is the best way to go, since paying for the game it just erase the satisfaction. Once you get what you want you loose interest and the game becomes boring. The only thing worthy is the battle pass, which in my case I don't pay either. Good video, by the way. Please, keep doing more. I really enjoy them, even being a mage. Your certainly right about your intro. Grinding for legendaries, set items and exp is grinding for a temporary advantage. The game is designed so that gem power is core lasting investment. If you are not getting permanant progress in your activity, you are wasting your time.

The only thing I don’t do is buying gems to resell this with profit. On the server that we both play on there is not enough liquidity to it’s hard to make reasonable profit. Finally, I would add that it’s a good idea to sell skill stones that have 2+ or better 3+ skill buffs for most popular classes. Lastly, I also kindly ask everyone to support the channel!

As you discussed things as shadow, you could have put into account the daily shadow activities, as it will reward you money, hilts and shadow level (which awards you with free extra damage and defense), same thing should be applied as immortal. If you are f2p, you need to consider joining big clans. As it will reward you with free orange per week and 15 aspiring keys if shadow. As immortal now you get 15 extra aspiring keys each day, as kion's can now be done basically everyday. So join a clan that can do the immortal cycle every now and then. I was a bit surprised that elder rifts was not discussed here. If the player do 5 elder rifts a day (even without crests with a party) the player will get one absolutely free purple crest each 10 days. Wich is 3 per month and 36 purple crests per year. However, if the player do the weekly rare crests (needs 30 rare crests and a full party , everyone adding 3 rare crests), it will be 10 runs. The bonus will be you getting a purple crest per week which is 52 purple crests a year. For absolutely FREE! That will mean at least one 5 star gem that can be sold a year. Ofc if you are lucky, you will drop more of those. The subject of alts should be approached as well. Instead of grinding 4h to gamble items and ofc guaranteed XP, 2 alts can generate at least 6 purple crests, can go up to 8.

Don’t forget to buy all charms, they are an additional 1.5ish-2kish (in our market) plat a week by extracting rank 5 and selling the skill stones, this is an easy passive income on alts over lvl 56 as well, always check the limited time tab in vendor when it resets for charms 🤙🏼
You forgot to add the keys you get from Battleground and Shadow War. Overrworld farming gems usually rakes around two hours, dungeons are a bit hit and miss ranging from 0-2 gems. I sell all my gems and get around 3800-4000 platinum. So in a month you can make 110000+ platinum.
Sell your 12 normal gems daily -> buy cheap 2* gems -> list 2* star gem with profit. (I've been doing this for months )... : Everything in this game has exponential cost or diminishing returns, the only way to progress constantly is to make exponential profit.
In my Oceania server you couldn’t sell armour gems at half of cost of any other gems and many were always available…today all gems all ranks completely sold out inc the previously massively ignored armour……l blame you VK!

I’m at the point where both of my characters are stuck and unable to upgrade gear without mats which apparently requires hours of grinding. I’m f2p and play for fun mostly. In fact I joined for something to do over the winter instead of watching tv. I really wish I’d known in advance about the grind - upgrade scenario I do enjoy the game but for me to stay they need to think about this issue. Surely not everyone spends hours grinding for appx 8 points of CR increase? 😮 wow! At this point I’m now considering a fast exit…
Buy charms from hilt vendor and sell on market, can be slow and sure it costs 500 each charm, but you can do this in under a minute and flip them for at least 500-1500plat profit each

Biggest mistake a F2P can make is to sell their regular gems on the market. This is the most valuable thing in this game, above resonance im-n my opinion.By selling your gems you allow the whales to benefit from a huge gap on secondary stats which is where the true power is actually hidden.
What server is this because I’m transferring, the only gems available are Rubies. All the others you need to have fast fingers because they post and are gone in seconds
Yeah, that seems to be the consensus now. Sometimes a normal chest will overflow with extra loot, and if it’s on one of the final chests, it can be a huge bonus.
I am completely f2p so selling normal gems is important for me I have always collected them being in a 4 man party I don't know why when I do hidden lair I get bound gems which I can't sell ?
It means that on your server group of people took control over gem prices. It means they buy any cheap gem and put it back to market at highest price. Its common thing.

The prices are different for diffrent region. For now its 230 BUT if you are patient still you can sell it for 400. Sometimes you need yo wait couple of days.
Or you could spend all this time your wasting just grinding to work a job and then just buy the stuff you need. 3hr of work a day for a year is just over 1000hrs. @$20/hr that’s $20,000 or $385/week.
