I’m a Muslim who prays 5 times a day and this sounds exactly like that, taking a moment out of your day to breath, collect and reorient yourself and remind oneself about a higher purpose and being. It’s extremely helpful.

Now: Allah is God the Father the God of Abraham, Issac,& Jacob, but Jesus revealed the fullness of the Most Holy Trinity. FATHER/ SON /& HOLY GHOST. This was prefigured in the Jewish Temple. The Arc= the Father=Allah, the Bread of the Presence= God the Son Jesus the Christ= the Messiah, & the Lamp= Equalled the Holy Ghost= The Lord the Giver of all Life, on Earth & above the Earth. My beloved little son, this is the Word of Truth. The Jews/ Muslim are caught in a conflict born of the Mosaic Law, Jesus came as the Fulfillment of the Law casting and spreading Love over the Mosaic Law, relegating an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth ripping it asunder. Though you love God Allah you do not know Him as a Child, the loving Father, you must, as I must continue to be docile to the Holy Ghost, as a loving Child. As Jesus said: I am ( paraphrased) not the God of the dead but the God of the Living Abraham, Issac, & Jacob, AND ISHMAEL . Do you not see my little one That I am just like you! Trying to be a little loving child of God Allah, in love, Because God/ Allah is Love. The Mosaic Law was inforce to instill in an unknowing, unbelieving world the kernel of truth. NOW IN CHRIST JESUS WE HAVE THE FULLNESS OF TRUTH.

I’ve been meditating for six years since my husband was diagnosed with cancer.. I started through a friend who learned it thru her sons cancer treatment .. she now teaches MBSR, mindfulness-based stress reduction. MBSR started in 1969 by John Cabot Zinn at a Boston hospital used for treating the families and the cancer patients there, so not something so new!
Truth be told meditation has been around for thousands of years ! And yes, the science is there ..I was married to a scientist!!
Joy saying she can't wash her hands for 20 seconds when she said all throughout Covid the best way to wash your hands is to sing the happy birthday song 2 times (which is approx 20 seconds).
Meditation is very good for you. You don’t have to close your eyes, but you can just look at something and just stare at it for a minute or two because all you doing is rewiring your mind.

I do walking meditation as well sometimes. Also a mantra or prayer of your choice can help you begin. Namaste

I read many books on mindfulness years ago and tried it many times but couldn’t keep my mind from wandering away after a certain time
Hi. Give it a try again. Ive had that happen as well. The key is to not fight the intrusive thoughts. Allow it to happen and just focus on your breath. The thoughts will pass. Or just think I can get to that later, or right now I'm thinking this. My favorite mindfulness exercise is a body scan. I sometimes do better with guided meditations. Good luck 😊

Dan went to Dharamsala to meet with the Dalai Lama and incorrectly credited who helps the street dogs in the area. We asked for him to change it and after repeated attempts, he refused to do so. It was such a disappointment.
Who or what is the correct attribution for helping the street dogs (and cats?)?
Us, Dharamsala Animal Rescue, and another group called Tibet Charity. He credited the Brigitte Bardot Foundation. And while they donated to these organizations, they are not funding most of it and are not on the ground doing the work. I do not know why as a journalist, Dan and his team did not correct this. @@elizabeth9134

I asked repeatedly for him to change it and he and his team never did. They would not even just do an edit in the text for the podcast episode. Don't listen to Taylor swift, people use money because they think others don't love them enough to help, love is the true currency, it makes you happy, exercise your spirit by doing, riding bicycles and running or walking or gardening is the best meditation, people tell you the opposite when their promoting the use of money

He's there to promote a book...where he does just that. He gave quite enough accurate and teaser info in the brief amount of time he was on, with his humor, to accomplish all those things at once.
