The people at the cars shows can say what they want.....fact is it is yours and you are leaving it in its original condition. Well done sir!
Smart man, leaving that survivor unmolested.
That T/A kept as a survivor gets the respect it deserves and makes it even more unique. Thanks for giving it a good home.
I'm so glad you left it as a TA. They are so rare!
G.H. It is not the matching serial#, but it still has a rare TA casting block and cylinder heads in it. Thanks for watching.
AGREED!
I Hope he puts the 426 hemi in a car that came with one, but the original motor got trashed somehow.
G.H. Where did you get the impression the motor wasn't original? I watched the same video you did and didn't hear him say the engine isn't original, in fact he stated it is the T/A Motor.
G. H. I know that. I'm just glad that the TA car gets a TA motor.
Nick is a class act. Love this man's work and his creations and restorations! One of the best car guys I've ever seen!
D J Tanner. Thanks, and thank you for watching.
Agreed!!! Nick is a GREAT guy and so informative AND entertaining to watch and LEARN from. Thanks again for the info on the line lock horn and brake light switch. YOU DA MAN!
im super happy the T/A is staying as a six pack car , cant wait to see it at at a local car show
Nick, I am Ken. First off I want to let you know how good it is to see someone that is so dedicated to his favorite brand. I grew up in the 70"s working on anything that passed my way. I went to a vocational trade school. This was 73,74. we had a Sun Oscilloscope that I had mastered.Anyway Nick please do not hold it against me but I prefer a Ford. "First On Race Day" Anyway I did vote on keeping the TA as is. I really enjoy all the cars without all the sensors and related hardware. You are one to be admired.Great attitude! Thank you for the great videos, Ken
Ken. Thanks and thank you for watching.
I love this "As is" real survivor.
Kinda like me, old, somewhat wrinkled and patches of rust.
Congratulations Nick ! ! ! ! ! ! ! You take the right decition, and keep it the way it is, looks soooo beautiful with that patina. So beautiful ride ! ! !
There's something special about a survivor. By putting something like the brand new air cleaner on, you show when the bonnet is lifted that someone loves this, despite the outward look.
Yes! Definitely leave it as is! You cant beat the sound and look of that car when its goin through its pace! Love it!
Nick - You are an absolute legend buddy ! Just love the way you go about your work and love your uploads, keep up the great work. Long live the classic and muscle car passion.
The sound of those hood springs are music to my ears...My friend had a blue/black T/A in HS...
NICK, YOU ARE F'N COOL!!!
That survivor 340 T/A is NOT loosing any value or character just the way it sits as a survivor!!!!
Love the pistol grip shifter!! Glad you left it as a true T/A!!
Being around all those cars.....that aint a job.....thats heaven.....lol.....way to go Nick.
Love driving my 1970 Dodge Challenger RT 440 SIX PACK 4 speed, 355 rear end, sassy grass, 600 HP...
Glad to see you kept it original!!!
Nick, I like how you appeared out of the smoke after the Hemi Roadrunner did a burnout. I own '68 GTX with 505 stroker I built while working at a speed shop. With ported 452 heads and bigger valves, solid lifters, and a .502/.511 lift with a 236/242 duration @.050". QFT 850 mechanical secondary carb, this engine produced 511 horsepower @ 4900 rpm and 615 torque @ 3600rpm.
Love your channel! Way to represent Mopar and all classic car gearheads. Thanks for all your hard work!
john luff. You did a great job on your stroker, good stuff.
Right on the T/A Challenger is bad ass glad your keeping it the way it is
Have fun with that Challenger any way you wish. Wonderful it will be getting it's gears rowed and enjoyed on the streets. Driven, not garaged or cobwebbed. Yay! Feel free to surprise us with a weekend hemi swap into that ghost T/A at the end of the summer....
Thank you Nick , I don't no you and you don't no me but you Sir are the True Spirit of Mopar and the Man of Muscle.
Leave it be, it's so sweet, we often hear people say just be yourself, well let it be. Thanks for sharing, always a pleasure Sir..
I like the way you have the sound of a coyote mustang with long tube headers at the beginning of your videos. Pretty cool
It's only original once! Clean it...drive it.
Don't clean it too much.
Sunny Saturday here as well ! Good Morning from San Diego !!
Beautiful TA....Glad to see one every now and then, So rare!
Thanks for sharing!
Nick, you sir are a legend and a joy to watch and I'm glad your leaving it stock
Really enjoy the channel
Corey Bandy. Thank you for enjoying my channel.
Keeping it original Was the way to go Nick your shop kicks ass
Man these 70s cars are so beautiful.
Good call on your T/A. Shows your head and your heart are in the right place. Frankenstein Monsters can be cool but not at the loss of a true survivor..
Nick is a National Treasure in two countries
As tempting as I'm sure it is to put that beautiful elephant in that engine bay, leaving her a all original survivor T/A six pack car was best decision. Nick your knowledge, love & passion for automobiles ,being a genuine person with great fondness of Mopars makes your videos that much better to watch. Keep up the great work Nick & crew.
joe joe. Thank you Joe Joe.
I'm glad you're keeping it original, its even got the original hood spring squeak too.reminds me of our old days driving what looked like a dinged up survivor, until you punched it,the motor did all the talking. thanks again Nick.ill keep an eye out for a nice challenger for you.
That's great you left it as is ..Great original car leave the blemishes and drive it ...Sweet car!!!
Hey Nick ; Very Happy that the T/A will stay a T/A. That Hemi would be so Cool in one of the New Gen Dodge Darts if youcan wedge it in & make it a Street Legal RWD as God intended Darts to be.
Thank you Nick for posting these great videos. What you and your staff does is truly a form of art.
Thank you, John.
good work nick never stop your passion I like your ending if I need power I got my RED key
Love those T/A's !!! Keep the video's coming Nick!
thanks nick for keeping all stock
Nick your one of a kind to me. I love your very amazing videos you make. Your a true blue horsepower kind of a guy. I especially loved the 426 hemi rebuild videos you did. Keep doing what your doing. People like you are becoming a rare commodity now a days.
ROCK ON NICK... COOLEST CAR SHOW ON THE TUBE..
Nick has a very cool setup. Can't wait to see the "keeper" in it's new ride. You know Nick will pick something
special....Mopar or No car.
Nick glad to see you decided to leave the T/A the same as it was from the factory
Pretty Cool Survivor Glad You Kept As Is,Everyone Have A Safe Weekend.
I don't know what I would've done if we're old enough to buy cars in the 60s. So many awesome muscle cars to choose from, I'd go nuts.
Happy to see you left it with the 340 six. Nice.
OMG that Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge hood spring noise.........brought a tear to my eye thinking about my '72 Satellite.
Louisville KY & surrounding areas are full of these old Chrysler’s, Dodge’s and Plymouth’s 🇺🇸
Come on, plenty of room ✌️
Awesome. Good choice. Nice too see he has nice cars himself
That is one beautiful Challenger T/A.
Perfect survivor. That’s my favorite all time car , my bucket list car , I know will never be taken off list. Unfortunately
Brilliant video! Glad to hear you're keeping the 340, and that you're actually driving it with the battle wounds... That just makes it even better. It'll still be a nice restoration though.
anuther awesome video. Good choice in leaving her in the splendid glory as the T/A was intended with the SB. No need to repaint. A survivor car is in a very special class of its own !!!
Thanks Nick - great choice for a great car. Not my call but I think I'd restore it rather than leaving it in survivor condition. Show it for a while as-is and then give her a first-class full second life.
Right on Nick. I'm so glad that you decided to leave it a t/a. I was hoping that you would. If that were my car I would have done the same. great videos. I'm watching for as long as you keep making them.
Beautiful Mopars everywhere you look
That teal Road Runner is sweet.
Put that hemi in a '67 Barracuda man! The year without side markers or reflectors. I know the '68 is the year that the hemi was available, but a '67 fastback... no side markers or stupid reflectors. Fastback, notchback or ragtop, that's one good lookin' car!
yesss!!! Nick !! 340 all the way!!!!!!!! love your TA!! un restored!!!!!
340 6 pack with pistol grip stick is awesome and rare. Glad you are keeping it original. The 340 mopar engine was underrated in HP and performance. It's basically a 318 with 2.02 heads, beefer cam. I can see the challenger has the red engine which was correct for that year. After I believe 1971 or 72 they changed the color to blue because it was detuned and lower compression with less HP to satisfy EPA standards.
I'm glad your gonna drive & leave it as is for now.
The car's exterior tells the story unlike no shiny car can.
keep it as is..... What a pure barn find.
I'm not a mopar guy, but that TA Challenger needs to stay as it, damn fine original car! 👍🏻
What a life, too wake up every morning and drive the cars of dreams! YOU ROCK NICK! HOOAH!
You did the right thing, Nick...the smell of rotten gas at a car show made me laugh!
Oh yes, I think you are right about that turpentine smell. Adds to the mastique of the classic! I once had a 56 Plymouth plaza that sat for 20 years. I paid 75 dollars for it and waited for three months for the deceidance title. I had a one gallon can under the hood until the tank coul be cleaned out. It smoked for a week until the rings re seated then no oil usage and great gas mileage! Flat head six three speed two door!
I just subscribed recently and I really enjoy your videos! I've owned 2 340 Darts and they're a great engine. Good to see you are leaving the T/A original, Awesome cars.
Gotta love those old Mopars. Thanks for sharing, Nick.
Bob/Okc
I love the t/a and I'm glad you decided to leave it original. Nice hell cat too!
The decal package is available Now from Phoenix Graphics. Ten years from now, maybe not. Buy a kit now, store it would away in a safe place. Myself - I wouldn't touch anything on that car
They are going to love it Nick!
Nick - So glad you're leaving the T/A as is for now. MANY more car nuts would rather see it in it's as is survivor status. It would be a privilege owning and driving that beauty. Thanx so much for all your OUTSTANDING videos.
Van Stiller. Thanks for watching all my videos.
Nick, good decision! Just a suggestion for the "Keeper", go old school and drop it in a stripper mid-60's Belvedere. One of those used to cruise around Ottawa in the late '60's and, in my mind at least, was the coolest thing ever! Whatever you do, I'm sure it will be memorable. Thanks, Nick, for the great channel.
bigkahuna1950. Did you ever hear of the Silver Bullet in Detroit, it was a mid sixties Belvedere with a Hemi in it back in the days. Great car. Thanks for watching.
Really nice car! Reminds me of the one in the movie "Death Proof" which was heavily influenced by the movie "Faster Pussycat kill kill"
great decision on the T/A. nick.
Didn't. know you had a hellcat , that's fantastic
Thanks keeping that beautiful car original. Love the 340..
Love this channel, though looking at the Chargers in particular makes me a little sad. Back in the day, late 70's I had a 1970 RT 440 4 barrel, red. Had to sell as I was going back to school and needed the cash. One day I will find the replacement... keep up the good work Nick!!
Nick, your the Man. Thank you for leaving the TA alone. I can't wait to see what you find and put the hemi in and I love the CAT ....................................
That T/A would look the best in my garage. Great show Nick. Keep up the good work.
That Hemi in my opinion, in a 67 Coronet R/T body done up as a old school street racer look.
Hell YES !,,I was genuinely concerned that you might actually do the swap. Very glad you decided to keep it original. That T/A is just too sweet and rare to alter it. I'm strictly a big block Mopar guy, especially 440's but I can certainly appreciate that small block Challenger. It's a great piece of Mopar history. The beat up molding was a nice touch as well.
Thanks for this video sir. I enjoy learning from you!
Enjoy as is...it's beautiful!
my hats off to those mopar cars. size of a boat. but they are really good lookin cars. dodge is #1 when it comes to style in my book
Nick, you did the right move. Chrysler didn't make every model different just for some one to put any old engine or running gear in it to suit themselves. Imagine someone after you looking for an original TA, you say, look at this, you have a sale. Not the same if they have to keep thinking about buying the original parts to get it BACK to original.
Love your vids Nick. Can't get enough. Holding breath on your hemi and when you are going to install it in something hot. Thankyou for it all....😳😉
How many people out there in CZcams land. Just love Nick's Garage? I have never owned a muscle car! I am almost 59 years old. I am a Giant Mopar fan
I have a 2004 Concorde LXI limited 3.5 24 valve engine H.O. 255 Hp and 250 torque. It's a land yacht. But it's a Mopar! I am restoring it. But I would trade it tomorrow for a 340 Duster 4-Speed or 440 TNT 1970 big old Chrysler. Hurst paint job! I want to meet Nick and watch a engine on the Dyno! SHAWN
I love that sweet car just the way she is..!!!!!
The dents and rust too..!!! 👍👍👍
Hey Nick, how about building a 69 Plymouth Valiant? Score a cheap one, totally stock, then have a play, maybe even drop the elephant in. 😉
nice choice for the tunes for the B roll of the TA ... !
yes! thanks for keeping it original. and wow you have a hellcat too? awesome video again.
I agree with everybody clean it replaced the broken parts and leave it alone it’s one-of-a-kind as it is
So summer is only three months a year up there...You should relocate to South Carolina! Our summers are 6 months long! Cruising weather is 9 months long! The cost of living and the taxes are dirt cheap, and there's almost no snow to deal with! I think you'd really love it down here! It would be a great place for you when you finally decide to retire.
Just a suggestion! Thanks!
The people will love it. I sure do!
Well done Nick.
Super happy you left it "as is" and that patina is what makes it great...as far as that old fuel smell...well that's just part of her charm..and for all of us old hot rod guy's..well that's just another welcome home to the original muscle car...keep up the awesome video's...
Thanks for watching Scott Bell.
Nice ride nick and good idea leaving it as is,the 340 engine is a classic race motor, and the six pack combination with 4 speed is very sought after..love to have one here in australia, chrysler australia was very conservative, our r/t six pack chargers were a 265 straight six with factory 3 x 2barrell webers, large cam, large rods, and factory exhaust extractors 302bhp.were pretty quick in the 1970s..and now also very sought after..were factory raced in hardie ferodo 500/bathurst 500..the 340v8 s/e 770 valiant charger was only offered with automatic, more of a luxury cruiser...
I love the T/A the way it is. "Original!"
it'll b a survivor only once, which makes the car extremely unique. Good decision Nick !!!
