    Heck yeah respect the classics a true American muscle 🇺🇸🫡 ! I have a 2018 T/A Dodge Challenger SRT 392 V8 and I love her Matt black hood with hood pens and destroyer grey as well !

    So many great details on the Trans Am cars of 1970. Don't forget the radio antenna located on the passenger rear quarter rather than on the front fender, to avoid radio interference due to the fiberglass hood.

    The ultimate muscle car IMO. It's got everything: cool graphics, spoilers and exhaust and the 340 6 pack with a four speed!

      I really wanted one until I drove one back in the early 80’s. I took a gorgeous AAR out for a spin and was disappointed with the power. In all fairness it was my first ride in a small block Mopar. Only had 383’s and 440’s up to that point.

    I would have to say the most fun car to drive and be seen in back in 1970 that I ever had was a yellow 70 AAR. Cuda 4 speed The sound was also special with those side exiting exhaust and the solid lifters . Thanks Steve

    Yup, again with the VIN for the win: J for Dodge Challenger, H for High price class, 23 for two door hardtop, J for 340 CID V8 with three two-barrel carburetors (aka "Six Pack"), 0 for 1970 model year, B for Hamtramck, MI assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Hamtramck plant, aka "Dodge Main" or "Factory Zero" operated from 1911 to 1980.
    We got the tag, we can brag: V6H for Black Trans Am longitudinal stripes, Y05 for USA specification vehicle, 26 for 26" wide radiator, EN1 for end of sales codes, J54 for Sport Hood, J82 for rear duck wing spoiler, M21 for roof drip rail moldings, N44 for side exhaust, N94 for fiberglass fresh air hood, R11 for AM radio, 2 watt, FY1 for Top Banana exterior paint, H6X9 for Black interior trim, 323 for Monday March 23, 1970 scheduled production, E55 for 340 CID V8 with three two barrel carburetors (aka Six Pack), and D21 for four speed manual transmission.

    I inherited my dads with all numbers matching. Years ago a tree limb fell on the hood and it now has a metal hood but other than that it's original and in good condition. It's probably a 8 out of 10 no rust or dents ever, if the paint wasn't faded it would be mint

    Even more rare than what he states
    2399 Total TA cars built, 989 were 4spd cars, rest were automatics. Great car
    some details are not correct, but still a very nice, authentic TA

    Somebody ought to flare out the front and rear panels over the wheels - it would look more mean with that carbon fiber splitter hanging down from the front bumper. Plus, you could put bigger tires on the rear, which would look even cooler (and provide for faster acceleration). You'd have different size tires on front and back but who cares - it's a customized classic, in that case!

  • @TheOverisel
    @TheOverisel Před 2 lety +2

    It was mentioned in the comments further in but I saw Philips head screws securing the under hood tags. Should they be undisturbed rivets? Is this not a red flag on a car if this value?

    • @justinbaldwin1752
      @justinbaldwin1752 Před 7 měsíci

      Negative,The fender tags being phillips head screws are correct, if the rosette rivets were screws or standard rivets on the dash VIN plate, that would be a red flag.
      I can also confirm this as I own a 70 T/A, and have the documentation to back it up

    NICE CAR!!!!....WHY IS'NT IT #'S MATCHING AND WHY??????.....YOU KEEP SAYING THAT IT'S NOT A CLONE,BUT IT'S ALSO NOT A #'S MATCHING CAR,WHEN THINGS DON'T MATCH UP,THAT SCREAMS CLONE TO ME!!!!!!! I JUST WATCHED A SHOW THE OTHER DAY WERE THEY BUILT A CLONE 70 MUSTANG GT 350!!!!! THEY WERE ABLE TO BUY ALL OF THE PARTS/THE FACTORY BUILD SHEETS/EVERY BIT OF BADGEING,YOU COULD NOT TELL THAT IT WAS A FAKE,OTHER THAN IT WAS A NONE MATCHING #'S CAR!!!!!....BUYER BEWARE WITH ANY OF THESE OLD MUSCLE CARS OR ANYTHING ELSE OF VALUE!!!!!!

  • @hansanderson6607
    @hansanderson6607 Před 2 lety

    Not a NUMBERS MATCHING CAR, so it is a "clone" or something WORSE. These cars
    that "High Octane Classics" are selling and being PROMOTED by STEVE are OVERPRICED,
    and despite how "good" they look, RUN AWAY FROM THEM. Yeah, HOC HIRED STEVE
    to PROMOTE their FAKE classic "muscle cars", and I have lost all respect to STEVE.

    • @justinbaldwin1752
      @justinbaldwin1752 Před 7 měsíci

      Not correct at all. Its still a true TA car, and its missing its original numbers matching engine or trans. Either its a warranty replacement or some change out over the years. Still, the car is not a clone

  • @hansanderson6607
    @hansanderson6607 Před 2 lety

    I can't believe that STEVE has LOWERED himself to this kind of "promotion"....
    He thinks that most people will now buy his BS, because of his decades long
    projections on big vehicle auctions... I have lost ALL RESPECT for steve in
    terms as to what to buy or how much to pay for for ANY car.
