Hey man, I’m afraid this might be a long shot but I have the same receiver and i want to fix the problem with the volume knob. I also have a couple other questions regarding other pioneer systems that go with this receiver if you have the knowledge about them as well.
Trevor, I have a Pioneer VSX-406 1997 Vintage, The issue I am having is that only one speaker output is working. How do you test the capacitors when they have such a high UF rating.
There's no easy way to test electrolytic without a ESR or cap meter. Once they completely fail to can confirm they are dead by bridging them with a known good cap but that can be difficult to do and risky
I have this receiver works perfect 20 years, dont waste your money on 5000 dollar preamps plus amps, You Tube filled with scam reviews selling you 20000 dollar amps dpnt be a sucker, just high markup scams, only issue I had was Volume control that can be cleaned and re installed.
hello, I am writing to you from Italy, I am a Pioneer lx90 owner, my beloved amplifier has a problem, the lcd display fizzes continuously, how can I solve the problem? thanks Domenico
Would you share what devices you are using for testing those caps?
