Same here lmao, the only one I recognized was the Anti-Material rifle one because that and the stealth armor was my go to for my playthrough but I just never repaired my Anti-Material rifle for some reason.

And fun fact The U.S. Army used grease guns till the 90s for tank crews.
Repairing weapons in fallout is more about balancing than realism and in fallout 4 they wanted the players to feel constant progress and improvement hence heavily complained about leveling system and the removal of gun repairing since having your main weapon degrade all the time would have felt like a set back for the audience bathesda was aiming for

One thing I love about fallout NV. Gun condition was just a "Item health bar" where damage went down slightly. It affected gameplay a lot. I remember using the mysterious magnum when it was low condition. And was one shot away from killing a death claw and had to reload. I was it go in though "As yeah" then the cylinder slowly falls out as I see the death claw give me a hug.

To be fair they could be shaking around the battery by moving the arc welder around in such a way, but this is definitely just due to the fact that they reused the flamer's animations.
Well, that's far from the weirdest electrical repair I've heard of.
Compare it to taking out a PC's motherboard and putting it in the oven for a couple minutes. Yes, it actually works in limited instances.
Or the good ol' percussive maintenance (hit TV and it works).
The fact Obsidian actually took the time to create this many new weapons and still have them jamming animations within the little time they had, it really shows how passionate they were to make this.
The guns you get up to primm are better than all of fallout 4’s guns. I only wish they kept the g3 and ak from fallout 3.
@@windowsxp9120 The animations are better than FO4's too. Which is funny because a lot of the animations in New Vegas are from FO3. Bethesda just didn't care about FO4 at all. They put in a minimal amount of effort with it.

7:32 & 7:43 I like that the magazine for the Mercy looks different to the Grenade Machine Gun as the ammo switches from 25mm to 40mm grenades.
I like how the 5.56 assault rifle still follows SPORTS without giving the impression.

Great attention to detail: the Mercy Grenade Machine Gun has a magazine what has bigger indentations for Grenades than it's standard part. This is because the grenades in Mercy are 40mm, while the standard uses 25mm.

I’m impressed that the break action weapons got a jamming animation. Those are like the one type firearm which should have no way to jam.
Only 'jam' ive seen with break actions was when skeet shooting and the single shot we were using wouldn't close all the way.

This just made me realize how few weapons Fallout 4 has.
Mainly SMGs, because Fallout 4 decided to make pistols and rifles able to be semi or auto, the ammount of guns necesary dropped. Why have 3 assult rifles when one can do the job of 3? Although I do wish there were more tbh. They spread themselves out too much while making the game, causing it to feel empty in several areas.

I always make sure to have the mod where the jamming animation can happen at any time depending on durability. Really makes weapon maintenance feel more important.

This was really interesting to watch. I've never seen most of these jamming animations because once I'm a little past early game and have a few thousand caps my weapon's condition never falls low enough.

I love how the revolver just kind of fall open. You can almost hear the courier say "Goddammit" when it happens.
Also, i've never seen most of these, even on the guns i use. It's probably because I compulsively keep the guns i have in good condition when i play.

I really feel like Obsidian hit their stride with the Lonesome Road animations. The SMMG animation is very smooth compared to the recycled FO3 animations, and the number of moving parts on the Red Glare is genuinely impressive

Too bad I've never used a forward assist in real life and instead unjam my ARs the normal way.
Even with my infinite time playing new vegas, I haven't seen one of those jams in my life, maybe it's because I always repair my stuff to max, or that or I normally have luck in a 7 or 6.
