      I just looked at Ernst. The 40 tool set is $3.05 less, but costs $12.28 more to have shipped. Big advantage to Tekton. Especially when Tekton gives 10% credit back. I do see that Ernst has free shipping on $75 or more, so maybe that's easy to achieve.

    For the tekton organizers, on the red one you could use a white paint marker for the missing wrench indicator and a red or white paint marker for the black, maybe

    Hello again, Tony
    Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I absolutely like the ideas created here 😀 You already know that I too have thr TBW' s for my wrenches and screwdrivers. For about two years now. And have enjoyed them. They just make organizing my tools easy. I also have to admit I do like competition taking place. That's ultimately good for us consumers. But as a Aircraft Mechanic, I need to be able to see in a moment if something is out of place, tool wise. For accountability purposes. Where I am working now, they still have shadow in foam method in place. While that works, it takes up a lot of room and time to complete. Lord, help you if you make a mistake. And you have to start over. Again thank you 😅

      @TonyTheTechnician  Před měsícem +1

      Agreed. I love both organizers but ya I had the same issue with the little stickers peeling off. But honestly after a while I just figured out where everything was. Best bet is a fine silver sharpie if you don't want to deal with the stickers

    I have just purchased the Tekton organizers and I really like them. I bought the size stickers but haven't yet put them on until I settle on a drawer arrangement. It would suck to put the stickers on and then decide to orient the unit to the other side and have them be upside down! Not the world's worst problem, by any means.

  • @JakeNaughtFromStateFarm
    @JakeNaughtFromStateFarm Před 7 měsíci +1

    I really wanted to get TBW, but couldn’t bring myself to pay for it. I like the look of the racks, the labels (much easier to read if you color with a sharpie), and stems on the socket organizers. I don’t remember exactly, but I want to say I was gonna pay $130, maybe, to get all mine set up. I thought about getting the Toolganizer due to how customizable they are (you can get them labeled however you want), but it was permanent and I like to be able to change when necessary. I really liked the EZ Red flexible wrench racks. They look good, come in different colors, and are magnetic as well as flexible. While nice, and my most likely purchase, they seemed pricey for what you got. Even more so if you need/want the ones for bigger wrenches. I saw the Ernst ones in some videos when they first dropped. They looked good, came in red or black, were modular, and turned out to be pretty well priced. I then got an email from Tekton when they dropped theirs, which I figured to be the same thing (due to the made in USA ad). I’ll end up getting Tekton or Ernst due to what feels like the best bang for the buck, and possibly best product as well. I’m not sure if it’s changed since this video, but Tekton will include the labels if you get the 40 tool set or more. Ernst includes labels on the 20 or 40 tool sets.

    @C2Installations Před 10 měsíci +3

    I, too, have used the TBWs for a couple of years and have spent a ton on organization. I just picked up a set each of the Tekton red and black wrench organizers as shown in this video. BTW, Ernst has the same style now as the Tekton, with optional magnets in bottom (you can see the Tekton has the post for magnets but they are not offering the option). Thoughts:
    -Tekton product is higher quality. More precisely molded, cleaner look, more rigid, consistent textured finish. I've had issues with TBW being just sloppy in fit and and having inconsistent finish. I've had the orange inserts fall out, the magnets fall out when the base plate pops off, and find the sizing inserts to be over priced and poorly fitting (have to glue them in often.
    -TBW has a lot more variety in setting up your tool box, given all the types and interchangeability. It is a more versatile and flexible system at this time.
    -Tekton's option for red or black is terrific and matches other companies organization schemes, such as Olsa or Ares.
    -Tekton's labels are better but tedious to apply. Recommend doing it before putting the holders in place.
    - Tekton's pricing seems higher than Ernst's version of the same thing.
    Final thought: TBW has real competition if Tekton or Ernst expand on this product family. I prefer the look, function, fit, finish, and design over TBW, but TBW is more versatile for my drawer sizes and layouts. My wrenches through 19mm are in Teton now, the rest is TBW.

      I completely 100% agree with you as far as pros and cons of each. You hit it spot on. And I did not see Ernst had these as well. Shame on me lol it didn't even cross my mind. Thanks for that info. I really appreciate it 👍

    1st, thank you for your service!! I was all in just b/c it's veteran owned, but I had the tool box widget for literally 5 mins and multiple pieces fell apart. I was very disappointed, and figured if right out of box this it's not worth it to me to warranty. It's a shame b/c they make an awesome screwdriver organizer (used remaining). The Tekton are superior but have 1 drawback, NO MAGNET! I'm sorry but I disagree about movement. Ernst who makes them for Tekton has the magnet as an option. I wish Tekton would offer the magnets or magnetic organizer

      Those are good organizers and still in the same price range, definitely a great option but I wouldn't say superior in every way. While you can move the spacers you then have the rods that your limited on how you can place unless you start cutting them to fit the drawers and then if you want 2 sets connected you have to buy a link bar kit and then that space becomes kind of an awkward space or it may work out perfectly for another Tool. But either way still a great additional option for those looking at wrench organizers, it's always nice to see different modular designs

    Tekton looks too tall to fit in in shallow drawers with large wrenches on them.

      They do fit in shallow drawers but obviously if your standing a 32 mm or 1 5/16 wrench in a shallow drawer even at an angle most large wrenches won't fit. It doesn't matter what organizer you use. You can only lay them down. That's why most people don't put large wrenches in a drawer that isn't designed for it.
