Jesus Christ, that Lucha Bros - Omega versus Young Bucks match on some PPV killed it (the hadouken was the final nail in the coffin). I felt like I was watching Cirque de Soleil / Tournament of Kings at Las Vegas... okay, it's fake wrestling, but it's even faker wrestling. Everything feels so plastic and is just a series of gymnastic maneuvers without any logic - thought of projecting a real fight - combat between teams. Slow down the fucking matches, sell the moves and use some psychology. Great athleticism, great gymnastics...however, I want to watch wrestling and not a bunch of acrobats flip around the ring.

Lucha Bros ended Santana's & Ortiz's 3rd reign as Impact Tag Team Champions which until The North beat Santana' & Ortiz for the titles, Santana's & Ortiz's 3rd reign had held the longest reign for anyone as Impact Tag Team Champions. The North if they end up going to AEW would most likely suffer the same curse as the forementioned tag team.
Lucha Bros were the 2nd Major League Wrestling Tag Team Champions though what is more interesting about MLW in my opinion is nobody has won any MLW Championship more than once since MLW was founded in 2002. The promotion being defunct between 2004 and 2017 would be part of the reason but even so, since the 2017 revival of MLW one would expect somebody to win a championship more than once.

Even as a fan who got into wrestling as a teenager in the 90s and never believed it wasn't predetermined, never cared if it was presented as a sport; am I supposed to believe that AEW has a better spectacle style tag team division than attitude era WWF's tag division when E&C, The Dudley Boyz and The Hardy Bros were stealing pay-per-view's from the main event championship matches?

Big facts. Back in the 80s after all the big shows like AWA, NWA and even WWF. The tv would show some no name brand wrestling of guys who will never make it to the bigger promotions. That is what AEW looks like. Even when they put known pros in the ring they saddle them with no name midgets. Chris Jericho looked like the undertaker against Orange Cassidy.

Rey Fenix is the standout of Lucha Bros. Santana is the DEFINITE standout of Proud n Powerful. Trent No Name is the standout of Best Friends. Adam Page has been the standout out of his team with Omega. FTR is THE best tag team nowadays.
If AEW had a creative consultant that KNOWS what they're doing with their booking it could benefit AEW in so many ways. If they hired a creative consultant, they can then hire producers to help these talents in their divisions such as the Singles, Tag Team and Womans divisions put together their matches. And ALSO HIRE FUCKING REFEREES THAT ARENT DUMB OR PUSSIES. I'm sorry, I gave them a pass since October, but the referees need to announce their AUTHORITY in the matches. Aubrey Edwards is currently amazing. I seen ppl hate that she gets involved such as when ppl are cheating like Chris Jericho and she kicks their hands away from the ropes, or when she pulls someone away when they wont break the 5 count. THATS HER GOD DAMN JOB. Quit complaining about the one god damn referee in AEW that knows what shes doing. AEW needs to hire Mike Chioda and get him to put those referees in training camp. Then the refs can then help the talents put together their matches much better instead of taking away from the matches.
    So, overall AEW needs:
    1. A creative consultant for booking
    2. Proper producers to help make matches
    3. REFEREES THAT HAVE AUTHORITY
And ps, make Excalibur learn how to properly call matches and add to them instead of pointing out obvious points and calling out these preposterous moves. When he chills and lays back and calls matches how he sees it happening, hes good. Hes a good commentator. But you can tell he gets in his own head and how he points out these obvious things it makes it seem like we as the audience cannot deduce these things ourselves. Also, when he calls out these ligerbombs 98 2 thousand or whatever, it's okay to have an appreciation for the art of wrestling, but when you're the god damned commentator its unnecessary to say these things. Just sell us the damage that it's done and what the result of the damage is. God damn it.
