- Which country has the best cookies? Let's find out if it's Italy or USA! We each gathered some of our favorite cookies for an epic cookie showdown. Alessio loves Mulino Bianco, Gocciole, Pan di Stelle, etc and Jessi chose some flavors from classic grocery store cookie brands like Oreo, Keebler, Little Debbie and Pepperidge Farm. I fear that I am going crazy! I cannot stop watching these two doing their food competitions. I absolutely love them both.
To be honest Italy makes delicious cookies and pastries....they are so tasty. Love you guys
Loved the reaction. That being said, with the exception of the Keebler and Oreos the rest of the American cookies were bench warmers of the cookie world. Chips Ahoy, Nutter Butters, Pecan Sandies, definitely a box of Girl Scout Thin Mints would have been better options.
Bruh Milanos are A-tier cookies
I do eat a lot of chips ahoy, but after having been to italy, chips ahoy would be a couple of levels below most italian cookies
Pepperidge Farms Chesapeake as well
Some poor choices for the American side. For example, Oatmeal Raisin, whoopie pies, icebox and snickerdoodles are popular choices. Mrs Fields and Famous Amos are best selling brands not represented as well.
You two are BY FAR my favorite couple to watch!!! I love that you are able to consistently laugh and joke around with eachother….yet despite all of the jokes and “pranks”, it is sooo clear how much you truly love eachother!!! Btw, after watching your videos, my husband and I ordered the Mexican Coca-Cola in the glass bottles and OMG…..we were blown away by just how delicious it was!!!!! And we tried putting in the peanuts as well….omg…..delicious!!! 😊😘

You know... processed cookies are like a nice childhood memory.. but as adults I really don't like many of the things you find on the cookie isle. I'm lucky my daughter loves to make homemade cookies.
Homemade is the way to go. It seems like American foods have changed recipes and added cheap ingredients and chemicals.

I like how polite he was about spitting it out. We don't have most of those in Ireland. But if I ever can , I'd so send you some of our biscuits and see what you guys think . We only call chocolate chip cookies, cookies, everything else is a biscuit.
Pan di Stelle is really good. I remember these as a kid when I lived in Germany.

Are you sure it's the circus animals you're thinking of it animal crackers in that little box that looks like a circus car with a little string? They're two totally different cookies. I love the animal crackers!
The iconic American animal cracker is Nabisco Barnum's Animal Crackers, and the cage box is a must. Anything other brand is a pretender, a wannabe.

I'm Italian and I had never realized that omg
I think every Italian thinks the brand is just Mulino Bianco, which makes a lot of different kinds of snacks. Apparently it's a smaller brand owned by Barilla.
Even weirder, I've just discovered that Pan di Stelle, the one with the brown packaging, is owned by Mulino Bianco (there is the watermill logo) so even those are from Barilla
The Mulino Bianco commercials always just say Mulino Bianco and not Barilla. Maybe there is like the Barilla logo at the end but I never paid much attention.
The same thing happens with Gocciole and Ringo, that are owned by Pavesi, but in that case the commercials say that clearly.
Barilla does various things (not just pasta)… cookies, sauces and so on.

One of the Yreats for me every year in my trips to Italy 🇮🇹 are the cookies just the very best. American Cookies can’t hold a candle to Italian cookies. And let’s not even talk about pizza Bianca. Just The very Best!!!

Was fortunate enough to live in Germany for my childhood (5-11) & traveled around EU and the one thing I miss are the baked goods/pastries/bread! Every “snack” there tastes so good. Most don’t have that chemical taste 🤷🏻♀️

Italy has no hand to dessert's, there are so many types biscotti, pan di spana, panettone, zeppole. So many to remember. Sicily is known for their dessert's and all 12 Regions and 2 islands produce great desserts. Ciao.

I'm not one to eat cookies very often, but there is one exclusion. Tate's Bake Shop: Butter Crunch, or Oatmeal Raisin will beat anything on the face of the Earth. Although they are from Long Island, NY, I as an Alabamian am giving them honorary southern status for their obscene usage of salt and butter in their recipe. Those things are akin to crack, because I'll sit and eat any quantity of them until they are all gone.

Loved the video!! But I feel like there were some major cookies that should have represented America that weren’t chosen. Chips ahoy, famous Amos, thin mints Girl Scout cookies and the Samoa Girl Scout cookies, sugar wafers, grandmas cookies, nutter butters, tates. But being from Argentina there’s nothing like a havanas alfajore guaranteed ringer! Once you have an alfajore all cookies just don’t compare. Love you guys!

Mother's made the best store bought cookies ever with their coconut cocadas, taffy sandwich cookies, and oatmeal. But the pink and white circus animals?! I agree with Alessio.
I gotta go with Italy on the gemmies. The Mother's Circus Animals are too sweet.
But I feel like Chips Ahoy, Nilla Wafers and Little Debbie Oatmeal Creams should have had a chance.

Admittedly, you have to grow up lower to middle class in Suburbia to appreciate Mothers cookies. They go right along with Koolaid and Kraft Mac & Cheese.

You should have stuck with all pepperidge farm cookies! 😂 Dip those peanut butter ones in semisweet chocolate and they’d win something! Like you dip pb ritz in melted semisweet chocolate chips. That’s as good as nutella

@ 8:18 It might surprise you, but peanut butter isn't really a thing pretty much anywhere outside of the US 😉 A friend of mine brought me a jar of high quality organic and god-knows-what peanut butter back from the States. For a long time I couldn't find any use for it and it almost went bad. Out of desperation I tried to put it into a kung pao (instead of roasted peanuts) and I must say it worked pretty well - it thickened the saucy part of the meal so nicely, that in the end I didn't have to use starch 🤣
