I dont wanna buy it its. Cheap :(. Im sad. I dont have a gift in my. Birtday :(
THE LINK IS BROKEN OR THE PLANE IS DISCONTINUED:((:((😢
@@jasonskinner9064 Yeah...I've not seen it being sold anywhere recently. Sometimes these things go through an intense production run and when the stock is gone, it's gone. Maybe it will come back one day.
@@EssentialRC Where did you put the CG?
Love the b-17, my father in law was a belly gunner in ww2. Be safe. Peace. 🇺🇸
What a beautiful model. Looking forward to seeing this fly. Thanks for sharing.
This is so beautiful.
Absolutely amazing can't wait for the first flight video. Good luck my friend. 😊. And never Heard of Q models before but they are actually making quite nice model like this amazing B17.
That's a great looking B17. Should be a fine flyer. AirHammer out!!
Fingers crossed!
I usually think unboxing videos are boring. I don't need to see the cutting open of the box and other unnecessary stuff. This was perfect. Just what I needed to know without all that filler
I'm with you. I'm not a fan of doing it and if I do include it in an assembly video to show how well the components are packed. You'd be surprised how many times I see damage to components in the box due to badly designed packaging.
Look forward to seeing that one fly 👍
Great looking plane and plenty of scale detail.
Indeed!
Dom ,
You will definitely love this big bird . So gentle in the sky...i have both colours..
👍👍👍🇬🇧
I hope so too Sean!
Nice!. Fingers crossed for some goo weather so you can get the maiden flight in soon.
Cool
Love this plane, another plane that’s on my list 🤓. Looking forward to the maiden 👍🏻
You must get one Chris , for the price , she's a bargain....🤘🤘🇬🇧
Rc sean brady this the one from Bangood Sean?
@@DadsRCHangar They sell this at Hobbyking Uk too...👍👍🇬🇧
Rc sean brady Humms guess I go have a look see👍🏻
@@DadsRCHangar
Just had a look for you Chris , out of stock at the mo..👍
Well, based on this video I have just bought one! Always loved the B17. Just hope your maiden video fills me with confidence and not dread!
I hope so too! 😄 I'll add some more build tips for you into the video description soon since you brought one. Cheers - Dom (Essential RC)
@@EssentialRC Cheers Dom, appreciate that
if you want to,you could do a paint job and put decals on to make the B-17 look like the one piloted first by robert lansing and then paul burke on the series"12 o'clock high"!
Ofgulten voschetin ues!!👍
The full scale J tail is at the Pima Air Museum. She’s a beast!
I’m jealous.
Quick question, did it come with a chin/nose turret? It doesn't specify on the website and I only see it turretless
Very interesting presentation Dom and tempting plane. You’ll presumably be giving details on the maiden? ie required number of channels and batteries. Promise no knife edges nor barrel rolls please, just scale flybys😉...particularly looking forward to your classic slomo at the end for that usual realistic touch.
7 channel receiver required Derrick. Needs 2 x 3S2200 to 2500 packs. Shout if any other questions.
I’m going to get one in a little bit does it need a remote and what should I get for it?
Nice! I like the look of that! How's the SR-71 coming along? I see it there, just like my C101...expensive projects always take soo much longer! :)
SR-71 parked for now. It will get back on the bench some time before I depart this Earth.
Thanks for the vid, I recently just purchased one and noticed that the wiring diagram seems off. The four wiring harness for the esc is labeled channel 3, is that what you have in yours? Im using a spectrum receiver and channel 3 is for elevator.
I sold it on as it took so much space. Don't worry about it. Just plug them in and work it out by trial and error.
I want to do this with FPV such a great plane
✈💪
what was your CG location please ???...manual said 38-45 mm from wing leading edge at fuselage....using a 4500 mAh battery full forward the tail dropped like a rock......I don't believe this number for CG is correct....help.....please.
Красивая модель.
Just bought this online.... probably a stupid question what extras do I need to buy to actually get it to fly or is the transmitter battery etc included
Transmitter, receiver, 2 x 3S2500 lipos and charger. Join an RC club if you are new to flying RC!
Great plane. I can't wait when I will see how it's fly :)
But... When I saw this video, I was wonder how is your SR-71? There was no video for long time about it.
SR-71 parked for now. Too busy with other projects like this B-17. We'll get back to it in the future sometime.
It is a pity, because many people are probably curious what this project looks like now.
I have a question, are the wires already hooked up into everything? Or do you also have to connect the wires up, example: The wires of the elevators, lights, engines, flaps, etc...
Extension leads are hooked up to the servos and are labelled so you just need to plug them into your receiver.
Hey good afternoon, my friend i just picked up a B-17 from general hobbies, I need your help if may, my lights are coming but no motor or esc are coming on
I'm assuming the ESC does not arm when you plug in the lipo? Move the throttle trim all the way to the bottom. See if that works.
Hi, did you have to remove loads of silver paint from the mating surfaces prior to gluing? Thanks
Not that I recall. I roughed up and scored the surfaces with a sharpie.
@@EssentialRC thanks!
This product has discontinued. : (
Where did you put your batteries ? All the way to the front in the nose ? Or a little farther back towards underneath the canopy ?
A little further back is my recollection
@@EssentialRC Was thinking about removing one of those rib pieces of foam towards the beginning of the battery compartment . She seems just a touch nose heavy to me . Do you still have yours ?
@@reginaldwashington764 No. Sorry I don't. Try it. Cant do any harm. One small change per flight. Good luck 👍
How are the batteries exactly placed inside of the nose of the B-17?
Just wedged in the foam about 2 inches back from the nose with some spare foam over the top. You could use velcro or glue in a strap.
@@EssentialRC Did it seem at all nose heavy ? I’m using two 3 cell 3000 mah 35c ONBO’s
@@reginaldwashington764 No but don't recall what I flew it with to be honest. Probably 3S2500.
@@EssentialRC I’m guessing like most foamies , right out of the box , they’re built C.G ready with battery placement in mind . Like your idea of placing foam over top of the batteries. Gonna give her a maiden as soon as the weather is cooperative. Thank you sir , and Merry Christmas
@@reginaldwashington764 Stock CG was good as far as I remember. Just be careful the cowls are not rubbing on the electric motors. They should have made the cowls a few mm longer. Good luck and Merry Christmas.
this is the ones hobbyking used to sell ...
