That song was Erasure’s #1 hit in the UK, they made an ABBA-Esque 4 songs single that became so popular that it made Universal launch the multi platinum album ABBA GOLD. Erasure has many hits and fantastic songs of their own. This was his homage to their favorite group.
This song was part of a 4-track, 4-video Abba-esque EP package, that accompanied the Erasure album, "Chorus". Fun fact = At the time, Erasure were one of the only artists ABBA actually granted permission and allowed them to re-record their music. Erasure were responsible for the resurgence of ABBA's popularity and eventual release of ABBA GOLD. Erasure members are Andy Bell and Vince Clarke (Vince founded Depeche Mode and Yazoo) = SO MANY HITS WORLDWIDE. You should watch the 1992 tour associated with this album, Erasure: The Tank, the Swan and the Balloon - Live! - Phantasmagorical Entertainment Tour, one of the best tours I've ever attended. During the intermission between Act 1 and 2, at each show, the audience got to play Bingo! with Andy & Vince on stage before they headed off to get ready for Act 2. Here is a video clip from that tour, the dance break kicking off Act 2 = czcams.com/video/S_hU0-1wYwQ/video.html
I love this goofy version of an Abba song and the fact that they took the time and effort to make this music video, too. I like some of their songs like I love to hate you. I know this was a tongue in cheek production and made out of love for Abba. They helped people to find Abba music again and made them and Abba fans a huge favor. I understand this could be a little too much for some people and that`s okay. This is supposed to be funny and put a smile on your face. I`m still smiling. :)
Great reaction as always Dereck. Erasure were a pretty big group over here in the UK back in the day and if you're interested in checking any of their original songs out, I'd highly recommend Sometimes, A Little Respect and Always. Andy (the lead singer) was a massive ABBA fan as a boy and this was their tribute to them. This was released as an EP of 4 ABBA songs (SOS, Voulez Vous, Lay All Your Love On Me and Take a Chance on Me) and all of them had videos made for them. I personally prefer the video for Lay All Your Love On Me and it's not a spoof like this video is.
at the time it was a drop dead serious hommage a bow for Benny and Björn's songwrting and yet fun at the same time. They did their own treat on it and might not stand the test time as the original because its very much the sound of that era and not timeless as ABBA turned out to be... but they were a huge part of the start of the ABBA revival.. everyone was aware instantly how relevant those song are. Erasure and the movies Muriel's Wedding and Priscilla... Before Erasure dared to the ABBA-esque nobody gave a thought on ABBA anymore... not many covers were around up to that point. And at the time Erasure were huge in Europe... Vince and Andy are my heros in that respect... and they have brilliant records like I Love To Hate You, Sometimes, A Little Respect.. funny enough the ABBA cover band Björn Again did a cover of Erasure's hit A Little Respect in ABBA style... very funny... revenge ;-)
I’m a big fan of you buddy! Love your reactions :) . Just about Erasure ... that’s a really memorable band from 80s and they still there producing good songs! They decided to do ABBA and it was great you should listen to other songs. Erasure got iconic hits like “A little respect” “Always” “Oh L’amour” “Blue Savannah” and more and more... I know you got a really good taste of music and you will going to love Erasure trust me ;) big hug man
HI Dereck. Erasure's version of 'Take A Chance On Me' came out a few months before the perpetually-successful 'ABBA Gold' compilation was released in 1992, and that was the year that the ebbing and flowing 28-year-old ABBA-revival started. This version of 'Take A Chance On Me' was also successful here in Australia. Prior to the ABBA-revival, ABBA started to have a cult-following in the late-1980s after mainstream audiences wanted to move onto new styles and tastes during the 1980s (which was also when mainstream was quite rebellious with anything to do about ABBA, especially here in Australia, after years of ABBA being so successful and popular [which was about 2½ years of ABBAmania in Australia, where fanaticism got to be so manic, that it brought in an overkill of ABBA on radio, TV and merchandise: great for fans like me, but loathed by ABBA haters].). Also, from 1992, more and more mainstream-people came out of hibernating/hiding there like/love for ABBA when celebrities like Bono from U2, Elvis Costello, and Kurt Cobain from Nirvana started to admit that they actually liked ABBA themselves. This cover was a homage to ABBA, as both guys in Erasure like ABBA, and sometimes homages are done with a fun sense of humour (A, B, B and A have always had a good sense of humour, and have never taken themselves too seriously, so I have no doubt, if any of them saw this video back then, they'd have probably had a chuckle).
LOL what a choice for a first time reaction to Erasure! Also kudos to them for featuring MC Kinky on the toasting section, so etching you rarely hear back in the day and nowadays. Despite what you feel, I felt she contributed much to the new sound for this track and not made it predictable.
Yessss!!! Erasure... and their ABBA sequel Album. I first listened to Erasure version of Take a Chance on Me, before Abba's. Keep in mind this is the early 1990's, rap was huge, and synths, techno music was a trend at the time.
Vince Clarke was half of Erasure but a full on synth god. He was a founding member of and wrote Depeche Mode’s Just Can’t Get Enough, was half of Yaz (Don’t Go) but spent the bulk of his career with Andy Bell doing Erasure. Absolute synth god and hugely influential. Andy’s got a banging voice. And their live shows are something to behold.
The woman who came in was MC Kinky , she had a hit with Ezee posse called Everything Starts With An E . She was big on the club circuit when I was younger. She also worked with Boy George , Last time I saw her she was performing in Ibiza.
They took it seriously, that wasn't a joke. Erasure of couse is a very special kind of band with Andys voice and Vinces extremely analogue synth bleepy sound. VOULEZ VOUS was very well, so was LAY ALL YOUR LOVE ON ME and S.O.S. Even GIMME GIMME GIMME was a great cover of them. But this is not for everyone. Abba granted permission for this and it started a big ABBA boom in 1992, with their BestOf album "ABBA GOLD" released a few months after Erasure becomign their biggest selling album ever. The ABBA cover band "Bjorn again" even thanked Erasure for this by recording cover songs of some Erasure titles in ABBA style called "Erasure-ish". So this was a very very good thing of ABBA :)... And the analogue sound of Erasure since CHORUS is just absolutely special.
As an introduction to Erasure this may not of been the best choice.... they sold millions of albums and theyre great... Always is a brilliant Erasure track.... might be able to change your mind...
Omg all these years i never knew there was a music video for this song 😂 I’ve been listening to this since i was very young, first time seeing this though. What a treat! 😁🌈
This Abba cover's EP from Erasure version was a huge hit all over Europe being #01 in 7 countries including UK and Sweden and TOP 5 in almost all other European countries - it also peaked #02 on Eurocharts Hot 100 (remember that in Europe and Australia charts are pure sales only, unlike US that takes airplay into account also). In 1992 this Erasure single was #05 best selling of the year in Europe and TOP 10 of the year in lots of European territories (easily inside TOP 100 best selling songs of the 90's decade in Europe). In US only peaked #85 on Hot 100 (but was #10 on Billboard Dance Charts) and in Australia peaked #13. You must listen to some Erasure hits from real songs written by them "Sometime" (their first hit that peaked #02 in UK in '86), "A Little Respect"('88) and "Always" ('94)! Those I'm sure you will like (never thought you would like this, i was already laughing before opening the video). This was Erasure having fun right after Abba Gold GH collection was released. This was a tribute EP to Abba with 4 Abba song covers (and later a 5th one was released as iTunes bonus track only). Now just for fun you have videos for all 4 EP Abba tracks (though that one was the most played the others to me sound a lot better) here are the other 3: "Lay All Your Love On Me" czcams.com/video/pn_59fAbCZw/video.html "S.O.S." czcams.com/video/QvR72DYtYHw/video.html "Voulez-Vous" czcams.com/video/WblFcLctZQE/video.html
Hey Dereck, this was a bit of a joke by Erasure, and not their best work. Vince Clarke is a synthesizer genius - he was part of Depeche Mode right at the beginning, and later teamed up with Alison Moyet to form Yazoo (known as Yaz in the USA I believe), before he formed Erasure with Andy. I had to laugh at your reaction to MC Kinky. She was a phenomenon in the UK acid house club scene in the early 90s. All in all Erasure recorded and released five ABBA songs - Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! was a standalone some years before they released the Abba-esque EP of which Take a chance on me was one track - the others being Voulez-Vous, SOS and Lay all your love on me. Voulez-Vous and LAYLOM are better efforts. 1992/3 are notable years in the re-emergence of ABBA though - their original album back catalog was released on CD, and Erasure boosted them with their tribute EP.
Ha Ha Dereck you are so hooked on that Pa Pa-Pa Pa-Pa part of the track. This was huge in the UK, Erasure were really popular in the 80's and, I'm pretty sure Andy and Vince of Erasure did this as a homage as they're both huge fans. This was their biggest hit and was released as an EP with their versions of Voulez-Vous, S.O.S and Lay All Your Love On Me. As for the MC Kinky rap, I'm with you, I hate rap.
You should know that this started the ABBA revival. At the end of the 80s it wasn't very cool to listen to ABBA. But after Erasure's hommage and of course the film Muriels Wedding the ABBA revival started. But please don't give up to react to Erasure, they are synthie Gods, I suggest Sometimes, Always, A little respect and Blue Savannah...
Yeh think erasure were just having fun with ABBA. And didn’t take themselves so seriously, as ABBA themselves said too! Andy Bell is a huge ABBA fan, in 1987 they did a cover of Gimme Gimme Gimme on their tour, and in 1991 there were plans for a cover LP, but it was reduced to an ep. With S.O.S, Lay All Your Love On Me and Voulez Vous being the other tracks, the ep did hit No’1 in U.K. for 5 weeks and sold half a million copies. The live version of Voulez Vous from 1992 is amazing if you want to check that out. ABBA authorised this cover, allowing erasure to use the ABBA logo on their ep cover art. Erasure were extremely popular and this indeed kick off the Abba revival in Europe, the ABBA revival was kind of underground, and had a cult status until 1992, Abba themselves loved this, and took it in good fun. Check out other erasure stuff. Drama, Stop, A Little Respect, Am I Right (a nod to The Day Before You Came) Always, Fingers & Thumbs and even more recent Sacred. They are a stunning pop act.
This may have been the wrong Erasure song to start with. When I first saw it I was truly like WTF. However, it, too, was the first Erasure song/video I had seen and listened to. This vid grows on you.
Erasure's sounds are unique, I recomend you to listen to their albums: I Say, I Say, I Say Cowboy Chorus The circus Nightbird Hope you like those kind of synths that Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode, yazoo, the assembly) had played through the years.
I knew the Erasure version FIRST, then the ABBA version (which I know is the original) a long time afterwards. And I'm only seeing the Erasure video for the first time today. I loved the Erasure song version from the first time I heard it (and I love that album ABBA-esque). I super dig the ABBA version (and love ABBA), and love their voices, but their version's non-vocal music doesn't hit me as hard as the Erasure version when I compare the two.
Erasure came out with some great songs in the 80's like A Little Respect, Sometimes & Stop! My favorite song by Erasure is Always (1994) & i like their song Early Bird featuring Cyndi Lauper. Since i mention Cyndi Lauper, one of my artists that came out in the 80's, Cyndi Lauper I drove a night or Money Changes Everything needs a reaction. Information Society another band that came out in the 80's with nice dance tunes.
Vince Clarke, usually the straight man in both senses of the word is clearly having so much fun hamming it it up in drag. Totally unexpected, but a complete hoot.
Erasure is an amazing electronica group. They are very prolific. They must have like 40 albums, some of which are not US releases. They had some very big hits here, and have performed in the US many times. The group was originally Yaz ( Yazoo) with Alison Moyet on vocals. She left and they wanted a singer that sounded like her, and it happened to be a guy, Andy Bell.
It wasn't just No. 1 in the UK, it also hit No. 3 in the USA and Germany. So it really was a big hit. Andy and Vince tried to cover pieces of the original music video to catch that vibe visually. They could have gone the whole way and copy Björn ad Bennie as well, but maybe they wanted to keep that bit of distance and self-awareness to be recognized themselves. The video is just cool and funny if you know the original. That little "add-in" to the song, that really seems odd nowadays wasn't that strange back then in the 90s. It was part of the Eurodance-music cultutre back then and they just wove it in. It's the only song of their Abba-covers they did it. If ABBA was "cool" with it back then so should we. As far as I know, they never regretted it contrary to some Austrian cover called "Bring me Edelweiss". 🙂
This was from 1992 and was an EP released that contained 4 ABBA songs this one and SOS, Voulez Vous, Lay All Your Love on me. It along with 2 movies murials wedding and precilla queen of the desert was responsible to introducing a new generation to the music of ABBA which had never died since. You should look at Erasure original songs for example A Little Respect
Erasure are a synth-pop duo who were very successful right throughout the eighties in the UK & Europe, they had hit after hit after hit & have a very impressive back catalogue of their own.
it was a (huge) single made in good fun, exactly. And meant as a cheeky tribute (ABBA has a huge gay following etc). Erasure have some great songs in their catalogue. Vince was an original member of Depeche Mode, then moved to Erasure. I recommend ”I Love to Hate You” and ”Always”, my favorites from Erasure. Love your reactions!
This was number 1 in the UK for a month, and every one in the UK went ABBA crazy straight after. Myself included. Can I ask, have you viewed Madonna's performance of SOONER OR LATER at the Oscars in 1991??
"Are they serious" lol. Are you serious about them being serious? :) It was an affectionate but very tongue-in-cheek tribute to Abba. Erasure were huge in the 80s and 90s. Especially in their home country - the UK and in the rest of Europe but also in Australia and the far east. They were a bit too gay for America at that time. They had a whole string of worldwide hits though and actually produced some great music. This isn't one of their finest but the video's a funny parody of the original. :) Btw the way, Vince Clarke, the little guy in the video, is something of a legend. He was a founder and chief songwriter for Depeche Mode and Yazoo, as well as for Erasure. You really need to check out some Yazoo, with Vince and the wondrous Alison Moyet. Only 2 albums but boy were they influential! Some incredible tracks too. :)
One of the best things about Erasure besides Andy Bell's voice, was he was also Out and Proud, and made sure his songs were always honest. Usually a gay male artist was forced to sing love songs for women, his songs were always gay. Which puts him in a unique place in pop music of the 80s. Ironically this was a tribute but it was aimed for their established fans.
This version is a bit of a spoof and it is tacky. Erasure have done some really good songs. Check out the song breath of life by erasure, it is a really good synth song. Another song in similar vain is called True Faith by New Order.
They also covered Lay All Your Love On Me, Voulez Vous and S.O.S on their EP ABBA-esque, along with this it was a 4 track EP, there was a special edition release with a couple of mixes on it iirc, you'd have to excuse my memory though as I was just hitting puberty at the time lol. I was brought up on Erasure, my stepfather had all the albums, from Wonderland (1986, although the single Who Needs Love Like That (?) was late 1985), through to Erasure (1995). They had a few good standalone tracks since but not really an album you could listen through for me, lost their way a bit imo. I'll reserve judgment on the just released album 'The Neon', looks like Vince has gone REALLY heavy on the club beats this time.
Erasure was a really great band. Vince Clarke from Depeche Mode and Yazoo (with Alison Moyet), and Andy Bell. Erasure did a whole Abba-esque stuff but they had better songs on their own. I do agree it was too much of a 'piss take' as we say in the UK.
Love for you to view Dead Or Alive’s Save You All My Kisses. OR Dead Or Alive’s Rip It Up concert in Japan (at least the first three songs). No one is like lead singer Pete Burns. RIP.
In reply to ABBA-Esque from Erasure, the Australian ABBA cover band "Bjorn Again" did a fun cover in the opposite direction. They did the Erasure song "Stop" in an ABBA style on an EP called Erasure-ish. czcams.com/video/bGTJoHHDEOw/video.html
Hey Derek ! Did you know that Vince Clarke is actually the creator with Dave Gahan and Martin L. Gore of famous mythical group DEPECHE MODE in early eighties ? Any chance you could reacts to some of their songs ? Hugzz and Peace, Mr NiceGuy :)
This version is possibly one of the very reasons why you’re here reacting to ABBA today. No one cared about ABBA until 1992. Erasure had this 4 track ABBA EP followed by ABBA Gold a few months later.
and the Australian movies" priscilla" and "Muriel's Wedding", plus their association with gays in the 90s also because of "The Simpsons" and "Malcolm in the Middle".
Thanks Dereck for reacting to ERASURE, a great group from the 90's. They have several very nice ABBA covers and your reaction already said it all. However, his two iconic songs should be heard when you can and please react. One is called I LITTLE RESPECT czcams.com/video/x34icYC8zA0/video.html and the other is LOVE TO HATE YOU czcams.com/video/ygLy02y7_n8/video.html. I ALWAYS FOLLOW YOU you are very nice and beautiful !!!
I think that Dereck doesn't understand the music stream in that time in 1992. That was the beginning of the EuroDance and Erasure where theire times ahead. I don't know how old Dereck is, but most people over 40 in Europe grew up with this kind of music. And I think between 1990 en 2000 it was a nice time to live in Europe. At the moment it's crap al over the world
Let me first apologize. I think (and hope) I speak for a large percentage of the gay population when I say calling your take on this song “prejudice” was simply uncalled for. To the person who said that: Hunty, you need to check yourself!” As far as this version, it was absolutely meant for the clubs and perhaps they had hopes in making it more of an anthem. Although it pales to the original the attempt is laudable and I actually think it achieved the results that Erasure intended.....to pay homage to a band they have deep respect and affection for, and to remain pure to their own musical style and beloved audience. Final note......isn’t this proof of how much impact the girls had in the finished ABBA product ?
Erasure said they felt they just _had_ to do an EP - 4 tracks, titled "Abba-esque" - to "get Abba out of our system". But I think Abba songs need a lush arrangement, and this is too stripped down.
Erasure in their own right has made many many great songs from the '80s onwards. This track is my least favourite, although I do like M.C.Kinky. Drama by Erasure is my fav. This track isn't too taken seriously.
For many musicians their most popular songs is usually their best work but Erasure had so many great obscure songs that were better than their hits in my opinion.
ABBA cover/tribute band "Bjorn Again" also did a good ABBA-Style version of the Erasure's song "Respect" shortly after this too. I think it was even a minor hit in the charts czcams.com/video/HNBZQ_uQQBU/video.html
That song was Erasure’s #1 hit in the UK, they made an ABBA-Esque 4 songs single that became so popular that it made Universal launch the multi platinum album ABBA GOLD. Erasure has many hits and fantastic songs of their own. This was his homage to their favorite group.
Not just #1 in the UK, but I didn't like this song on the EP much.
This was huge when it was released. It was part of (dare I say started?) the ABBA revival of the early 90s. ABBA Gold was released soon after.
Erasure did bring ABBA back into the public sphere with this expose
That itself had to be a good thing ....
This song was part of a 4-track, 4-video Abba-esque EP package, that accompanied the Erasure album, "Chorus". Campy for sure. I just never thought I'd see Vince in drag. Lol.

I agree with all the above 👌🏼
The Innocents is still my most played on Spotify
thay still are a big group, need an update
We have the same taste in erasures hits, including oh l’Amour
Erasure are actually a very good synth pop group. Give them a chance and watch the official video of "Always". I think you would really like it.
React to: Erasure, Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode.... Gods of 80’s and 90’s synths and they all still launching great albums ....

This was one of their funnest videos to do as VC is straight and that Andy convinced him to dress in drag with him for the video.
First no.1 for Erasure, a massive hit!
Big Fun and best cover version from Abba by Erasure. Catchy and brilliant.
Yessss!!! Erasure... and their ABBA sequel Album. I first listened to Erasure version of Take a Chance on Me, before Abba's. Keep in mind this is the early 1990's, rap was huge, and synths, techno music was a trend at the time.
I love love love this version. Erasure is the best band of all time
Not to mention: ABBA themselves acknowledged erasure's cover as the best cover having ever been done on one of their songs.
Vince Clarke was half of Erasure but a full on synth god. He was a founding member of and wrote Depeche Mode’s Just Can’t Get Enough, was half of Yaz (Don’t Go) but spent the bulk of his career with Andy Bell doing Erasure. The woman who came in was MC Kinky , she had a hit with Ezee posse called Everything Starts With An E . She was big on the club circuit when I was younger. She also worked with Boy George , Last time I saw her she was performing in Ibiza.
MC KInky is fabulous!!
Unfortunately other performances of her are whack. This verse is the best raggamuffin verse ever.
Dereck your reaction to this is amazing especially when the rapin part plays. Well done you.
They took it seriously, that wasn't a joke. Erasure of couse is a very special kind of band with Andys voice and Vinces extremely analogue synth bleepy sound. Erasure have now been together since 1985 and they still are
This is your first exposure to Erasure? This was a fun, tongue in cheek production. You need too listen to their own stuff not covers.
As an introduction to Erasure this may not of been the best choice.... they sold millions of albums and theyre great... Always is a brilliant Erasure track.... might be able to change your mind...

Genuinely, listen to other Erasure songs. You will love them. “Breathe”, “Dawn Chorus”, “Sometimes”, “Blue Savannah”, “Ship Of Fools” to name a few.
*Whisper it quietly*
It's just Chorus, not Dawn Chorus lol.
It was so camp it was funny. Your reaction was hilarious, so bemused ha ha 😉
Oh your response and shock really made me laugh !!
You should do more Erasure!! 🎶💗🎶💗🎶
those guys...! omg...KINGS of SynthPop
I love Erasure... make me remember many old times of my live... Thank you Dereck!!
Dereck take a moment and listen to “I Let the Music Speak” by ABBA. You’re gonna love this one, I do. #AbbaTheVisitors
Erasure's sounds are unique, I recomend you to listen to their albums:
I Say, I Say, I Say
Cowboy
Chorus
The circus
Nightbird
Hope you like those kind of synths that Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode, yazoo, the assembly) had played through the years.
You can't beat the original no matter how hard one tries.
Erasure came out with some great songs in the 80's like A Little
Respect, Sometimes & Stop! My favorite song by Erasure is Always (1994) & i
like their song Early Bird featuring Cyndi Lauper.
They where cool, 80s and 90s sensation
Love this , Saw them live many years ago
Honestly who recommended this as Derick’s first exposure to Erasure. Hope it doesn’t put him off exploring their other stuff 🤣
That's funny, this is the song that got my sister-in-law obsessed with the. Now she says you can't go wrong with any of their songs, lol.
This a first for me too Dereck, and I think you are correct.
This was number 1 in the UK for a month, and every one in the UK went ABBA crazy straight after. Myself included. Can I ask, have you viewed Madonna's performance of SOONER OR LATER at the Oscars in 1991??
Hey that single hit number 1 in UK when thats released....
This was a massive hit in the UK, as you know we love campy pop over here. Have a listen to Erasures early stuff :0)
Explore Eurasia. They are amazing! When they did this it was an EP. Their albums are great.
The fast female rapper is MC Kinky. She was everywhere in 1992 (it seems).
This was a piss-take - done well.
I'm sure they invited her about some early LGBTQ stuff.
MC Kinky (aka. Caron Geary), sings the reggae/dancehall rap part, also appears in an interlude in the video.
What a good cover from one of my favorite all-time bands love you
Oh'lamour by Erasure. Amazing act. They have great songs that you should check them out.
A raíz de la salida de este disco en 1992 comenzó de nuevo la ABBA-MANIA.
Erasure has many good songs, among them "Star", "Blue Savanah", "Stop!" are so groovy, you'll may enjoy them.
I was a huge ABBA fan long before I heard of Erasure. This just made squee when it came out
This version is a bit of a spoof and it is tacky.
Another fantastic reaction! Erasure kick started the ABBA revival in the UK.
Also here in Germany...
Sooooo good
There are some really awesome hard rock/metal covers of ABBA songs.
Number 1 in UK still......!!! 👍👍
long way before Madonna, there was Erasure that hit a n°1 with AE!!!
Erasure had this 4 track ABBA EP followed by ABBA Gold a few months later.
and the Australian movies" priscilla" and "Muriel's Wedding", plus their association with gays in the 90s also because of "The Simpsons" and "Malcolm in the Middle".
resireg Simpsons and Malcolm In The Middle? That’s new to any ABBA historian!
They have some amazing music
Thanks Dereck for reacting to ERASURE, a great group from the 90's. They have several very nice ABBA covers and your reaction already said it all. However, his two iconic songs should be heard when you can and please react. One is called I LITTLE RESPECT czcams.com/video/x34icYC8zA0/video.html and the other is LOVE TO HATE YOU czcams.com/video/ygLy02y7_n8/video.html. I ALWAYS FOLLOW YOU you are very nice and beautiful !!!
Please check " A little respect" from Erasure it's amazing.
At the moment it's crap al over the world
Brilliant
Let me first apologize. I think (and hope) I speak for a large percentage of the gay population when I say calling your take on this song “prejudice” was simply uncalled for. To the person who said that: Hunty, you need to check yourself!”
As far as this version, it was absolutely meant for the clubs and perhaps they had hopes in making it more of an anthem.
But I think Abba songs need a lush arrangement, and this is too stripped down.
they were serious, they were just having fun.
You should check out Chorus or I Love to hate you by them. Amazing songs!!
I think u would love erasures other hits
Erasure in their own right has made many many great songs from the '80s onwards. This track is my least favourite, although I do like M.C.Kinky. Drama by Erasure is my fav. This track isn't too taken seriously.
what a flip... 😂
Cool reaction. This is a nice cover. If you think this is strange, watch Queen I Want To Break Free. They were doing it long before Erasure.
Leila K was very famos at 1992 ,so it was logic for Erasure to give here the surprise rap part
This was MC Kinky....lol Leila K :D
@@arpxdagoodone ok😵💫
Abba when i Kissed the teacher awesome as hell and i let the music speak
they did a greate version of SOS
You giving them credit lol.
"What happened.......?"
Deal with it and enjoy.
Erasure were Andy Bell and none other than Vincent Clarke of yahoo fame.
