- Genshin Co-Op is a weird place where you can sometimes have fun just showing off builds and seeing other people's characters, so I had the idea to bring some of my unconventional builds into Co-Op, and I would give a Welkin to people that complimented my characters! Unfortunately, this ended up being much harder than I thought it would be...

@@SolunerraNext time you can try dps YaoYao, crescent pike Xiangling, or physical Kazuha. And speaking from experience, people are more likely to say something in co-op if you start by saying hi before the fight ^-^

FYI, there has been some co-op people in game that tried to scam people by offering free battle pass as a scamming tactic.
Although different from welkin, most players are vigilant when random people are telling that you can get free welkin/bp from them.
That's why it's kind of difficult to give freebie welkins to random players, even when you're trying to be genuine.
That Kirara was stacked though, very good build

It is still kinda a funny case of people having bad scam sense lol. Gifting a BP requires logging into a persons account, which is the point where people should realize things are fishy, and they should not trust a random person trying to convince you to login to your account. But Welkin doesnt require that, so its a case of people not realizing the thing to watch out for scam wise is not people offering free stuff, but HOW they are offering it. You dont have to know the difference between how those are purchased to trust it or not, you just need to not give out your login information (or other sensitive info)

I do a lot of coop (basically all domains) and in my experience, weekly bosses are pretty much "let's kill it and bounce" whereas talent/artefacts runs have more interactions, since a team can do up to 5 runs together. Unless there's one poor character left alive with the others cheering. There was a time my half-shielder half-DPS Diona got a lot of compliments because I was soloing the end of Azdaha's battle with the other three dead lol. There are also people who only use emojis because typing is not as convenient on mobile or ps4. I'm surprised no one commented on Kirara though, I've never seen her used in coop so I would def pay attention to her numbers more than the 105846681th Neuvillette! (I'm also the oddball who use healers or supports in coop so the others can go crazy with their DPS lol)
About your Kirara, I'm building my Kirara as a catbox spread DPS (2pc Golden troupe 2pc EM) because your videos inspired me!
Same, artifact runs seem to be a lot better for that type of stuff, also u can try typing smth a lot earlier, like just "hi"/"What's farming? " etc
Best way to get compliments, from my experience is, getting high dmg numbers with characters they use themselves

Or else get noticed for good performance with a character they think isn't capable of it. Something like Physchl won't do that (not without the supports), but a well built Ning... yeah, people don't realize just how strong she can be, especially in co-op, where team synergy is not the norm, so all the elemental synergy that generally lifts other DPSs up isn't there.
Try to camp in Raiden's domain for a bit. When you see the host go to the flower and collect the rewards, assume they'll kick you out and leave. However, if the host doesn't and instead sticks around, this person, and likely other people now or later, will most likely fight Raiden with you over and over again. Once you've successfully integrated in this pattern, tell them you have a DPS Kirara (or put her on your showcase and eventually someone might peak at her). Usually these players will be the most accommodating and will actually pick characters to match you for a round (it's the only way I've consistently been able to show off Alhaitham without a high pyro applicator completely destroying things and our characters). Due to just how much time everyone spends around one another, you get people talking and usually complimenting your characters.
It's much easier to talk to people if you join random worlds instead of bosses/domains because most of the time there's not even any conversation happening
I had many encounters when I joined someone's world and then chatted for like a hour straight
When joining don't pick randomly go thru and pick interesting profiles based on signature, characters on showcase or profile picture
As someone who always does 3 bosses in coop each week,they pretty much never stay,let alone comment on your characters

I will say your kirara was hitting big numbers and she was truly amazing.
As someone who does a lot of co-op, I can tell you two things:
1) Co-op consists of newbies, people flexing, and people just looking for interaction/variety. And most are in, get the job done, and out types. I personally fall into the looking for variety category, as I do co-op because clearing a domain in under 30s with the same team over and over gets boring fast. And I like to mix up which characters I use, playing things like Xinyan, Dori, and stuff.
2) Compliments are rare. Rarely, people will give them for performance reasons, but you have to stand out. Generally, that means things like a really big hit (so a well built Eula or a Navia with cons) or one that has abilities that trivialize things (C6 Furina, C6 Yelan). And another option is just playing characters nobody uses... but actually providing good performance with them, or at least something that gets noticed.
Of my non-five stars, the one that tends to draw the most complements is Ningguang (at least before I stole her artifacts for Navia, and then stole her replacement set for Yae Miko). People don't realize just how much damage she can put out in a short time frame, and when you combine a well built Ning with just how many numbers she causes to appear on the screen, it'll get noticed.
Also, you got lucky with that Overload team. Usually what will happen is you'll have the chance to set up a Chevy or Nilou team, swap to make it happen... and then someone else will enter character change mode, pick another character, and ruin the team. Personally, when I see those characters, or a geo (because geo resonance), I try to make the team synergy happen.
Oh, equip your MRE! As you say, co-op teams often have no healing and no-team shielding. Bring snacks.
And related to that, when the character with the ability to shield themselves, and there's a Kokomi on the team, allows themselves to die... they don't deserve compliments ;)
I'm a Kirara Main, so respect for using her as a DPS. Not many use her as a DPS. So I'm saying this, "You did great to represent the Komaniya Express." ❤
I would love to see you do this again, but with Artifact domains instead. People are much more talkative there, plus you end up with more opportunity since you do multiple runs. But yeah, PLEASE consider trying again, especially with the charged attack Furina idea! LOVE that one!! People will definitely comment at least!

Infused charge attack Furina does indeed rockin' with her colorful disco sphere attacks. Who cares about battle effectiveness when you can RULE THE ATMOSPHERE IN THE ROOM!?

dps kirara deserves way more recognition, i use her in a nilou bloom team as the main driver and its so fun,, altough seeing how strong your kirara is i may need to try her in a quicken team too :3
If you can afford sacrificing the shielding in Nilou teams she can get some decent dmg there too. Otherwise, checkout my video from a few months ago with Furina + DPS Kirara. Id consider that near the peak of what is possible for spread dps on her
Normally when I see the weekly bosses' health bar take a dump to zero, or to the next phase, in just a few seconds, I tell people to slow down. Which is for sure a complement.
The thing is that for the unpopular characters, not many people will use them or have played them. It is not easy to get compliments when they have no idea or notice of the unsual high damage numbers from a certain char.
Yeah you are probably right. This is also kinda why I thought people may notice more though, since theyd maybe say “why was your Chevreuse doing more dmg than my HuTao?” (Which would be a compliment lol)

So anyway, in the future, try speaking in chat, like, more, lol. But don't just directly say "Hey you guys want a Welkin" or "DID YOU LIKE MY CHARACTER" no, that's too on the nose. You have to get them talking about what's going on and hope it comes up naturally. Say stuff like "What's up, how's everyone?" "I hope I can be of help!" and "Good work, team!" Just different common phrases to strike up a proper conversation. You have to remember: Most gamers are introverts and have no clue how to start a conversation (I would know. I had to teach myself :P)

If it helps, i tend to get compliments by fighting Raiden with those unconventional builds in co-op. Even got one for Kirara. It might be easier to get one for bosses that people struggle with.

I think the problem is that in the past scams were an issue so it became common for most people to leave when asked about getting gifts for their account from strangers
Sorry people are not very talkative - I think it might be due to the quick match nature of domains. Maybe if you joined co-op world and asked if they needed any help or wanted to fight any particular bosses with you, then at least the conversation is already started? You definitely know how to build your characters for surprising damage, including the adorable cat in a box.

What about instead of doing co-op bosses, you join a random player co-op world, tell them to follow you and show the meme build, if they compliment give welkin if not then rip bozo. (I think doing this challengen in co-op bosses instead of co-op world is a mistake since 99% of people doesn't talk in boss co-op)
Yeah I think you are probably right. I should’ve just joined randoms in the coop list instead. My thinking for not doing that was that it wouldnt be an organic compliment if I just forced people to see it, and I wanted to make it a bit harder by not having any control over teammates, but it was a bit TOO hard Id say lol, so yeah probably a mistake in hindsight

Is hard to get any compliments on Co-op in genshin they just want to Flex or leave fast when the domain end.

You should at least start to chat first cuz if not they just leave, at the start of the match say something like: "DPS Kirara :b" and then from there you start at least catching there attention and maybe getting a compliment :b

I see most people on scara and Raiden boss fights usually they are there for showcasing not farming and usually talks a bit with you

i build a DPS Kirara too! She's at 54/192 for cr/cd and on deepwood, using black sword r2. She good but not as good as yours!
People tend to ignore free this and free that, or offers that seem to good to be true. They think it's a scam or prank and don't want to be involved with it as a result.
On a side note, my Kirara is also on a DPS build as well. Much fun there.
Try to do artifact domains. When people do weeklies they mostly just come, kill the weekly and leave, without saying anything, but in artifact domains they sometimes even stay and talk. Idk why it's like that, but that what I see from my coop experience
I wont give kirara a complement because i wanted her so badly when she first came and i dont get her, i got her recently and didnt get motive to build her, just ascend her to the last ascention because i want to ascend every cheracter of mine

If you’re gonna do this in the future, from my own experiences I’ve got the most compliments from doing artifact domain runs instead! People tend to be more social, since you’ll run the same domain with the same people a couple times.
Yeah in hindsight shouldve done artifacts domains or just random individuals instead of weekly bosses
@@Solunerraas a coop enjoyer this was a really fun video but I definitely agree on the artifact domain part I recommend chatting a bit before u hit domain together usually like a compliment or suggestion of “hey can we try an overload comp for a chevruse I’m cooking up something” it may not wrk but it’s worth giving it a shot . Also instead of having a character prepicked before u party with a team I’d try picking a meme build based on ur teammates picks u can actually showcase ur build. This is totally meme build but clam furina would be hilarious to see u try (u have to spam swap her modes so u can get energy without c4) if u can get a couple of ppl to notice what ur doing it’s a win in my book🤣
Another idea is to try and see if ur coop teammates will help u do ur meme build and reward them for helping u like seeing if they can make a hyper candance with the buffers they own fr example sucrose instead of kazuha or xianyun
This is great Soluna. I think your error was not doing dumb enough builds. The charge attack DPS Furina would have been brilliant, looking completely ridiculous for the other players.

Since hydro on Pyro have a 2x multiplier her lower plunge scaling shouldn't really matter and her burst should theoretically also increase that plunge dmg further. Could be a interesting way to play mona
I may do that eventually. It just take a lot of resources to keep doing plunge units lol. Lots of NA talents to level that normally youd ignore, so it may take a while
I use hybrid Kirara in abyss. She's a lot of fun and does nice dmg

@@SolunerraConsidering it is a new character, it most likely isn't about fishing for compliments. It's about lack of content in Genshin. You have a new toy, you want to use it, but you have nothing rewarding to do, so you take the new toy into co-op so you get to play with the new toy while helping others. At least that's why I will take a new character on a co-op world cruise, trying her (I play female only, so it is always a her) in various domains. And you get to see how the character interacts with various other ones you'd never use them with normally.

... not sure what he expected, who just randomly gives out compliments in co-op? It's pretty hard to even notice who's doing the most damage on a boss unless you specifically pay attention to it.

It depends on the group. I'll get compliments but only every so often and you can kind of tell if the group wants to chat and look at showcases. Others just want to get in, get the loot and get out. But why do that in coop if you're trying to do it quick? Usually because you're account progress or builds are bad, and so you're probably not gonna check out other people's and have much to say. It's only those who are doing coop to be social in the first place, and they're probably showing off their builds too with who they pick. From what I've seen.
Tbh my previous coop experiences led me to believe most people play coop for the social experience, Ive played with many a chatty person before. I wasn’t expecting immediate showers of compliments or anything, but when someone uses a random 4 star to nuke down a boss better than the Raiden on the team, or a Kirara hits 50-70k burst hits. Id expect some people notice enough to go “woah that was a cool Kirara” which is kinda all I was expecting lol. Rather than the literal nothing responses I got (other than when forcing people to stay by welkin baiting)
I think my mistake was choosing to do this with weekly bosses instead of just talent domains or joining randoms manually. In my mind the bosses were good ways to show some of my units abilities to deal dmg on their silly build, but to most people just doing that anywhere would suffice.
@@Solunerra Interesting, that's pretty different from my experience with co-op. While there are a few chatty people, I think all of them are people that joined my world and even then most are just asking "Hey, is it okay if I take some of your flowers / fish / whatever?" since you're expected so at least ask that much. Don't think I've ever seen people really talk in weakly bosses or talent domains. But then again I only rarely use co-op, so maybe it's just me?
Honestly I doubt talent domains would be doing significantly better different compared to weakly bosses, but manually joining other people's worlds might have a decent chance. Might be a bit awkward to ask a bunch of people "Hey, wanna see my DPS Kirara?" but that would probably do the trick.
@@Solunerra it just occurred to me to mention that I noticed Raiden and Childe's boss fights you're more likely to see someone just in there for fun and showing off vs someone who needs the drops since they are somewhat mechanically interesting

@@Solunerra she has 2 point shield which applied 1 dendro damage when you swap, 2 energy and 4 damage burst! Her burst also has a mechanic where once the opponent plays 2 cards they take 1 dendro damage which happens twice (:
