Thanks
Very detailed overview of the app.
It helped me a lot 👍
Glad it did, thank you
Manual recording is handy whenever you’d want to secure the video footage from being deleted after a long trip as the camera overwrites continuous recording, depends on your card storage.
The footage could be extracted afterwards, great video!
Good tip!
Thanks! If I had that Mustang it would be my go to daily ride.
🙏
Question, you mentioned you.dont need to connect every time you get into the car unless you want to review trips. My question is once you connect you wifi to it, will it automatically download all your.drives to the cloud so you can review? If that's the case I'd imagine it would take a long time for it to do its download. Just got mine installed tonight to alot to learn. Thanks
Hi, as far as i know, it doesn't download automatically
I’ve found connectivity with the app a complete nightmare. Essentially because the car also uses the same method to connect to the phone and you can’t have both at the same time. If your car has a Wi-Fi hotspot you’re going to struggle with this unit. I’ve resorted to using an old handset I keep in the car just for this. Needs a solution as more and more cars have this feature inbuilt
Hi, might be worth you contacting Thinkware about that, we don't have any issues when doing these on cars with wifi
@@CambridgeCarAudio interesting. I have spoken with them and they weren’t able to help. On cars with Wi-Fi do you use Wi-Fi to connect to the unit or hotspot?
@@davidhone2931 Use Wifi, I normally just either disconnect from the factory wifi or change the setting once you have connected to the Thinkware wifi to say not for Internet use
@@CambridgeCarAudio thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to reply. I’ll try again, although sticking with a second handset may still provide the best user experience available!
I agree it’s a nightmare. I had my camera even checked by them, it uses latest software updates but connecting is part luck, part insistence. Other than that it’s a fab cam. I have it hardwired and also use the radar module.
Loved the video just wished you showed more your position of the cam in your mustang or your installation setup like how you ran your wires cause I have the same car and dash cam😢😩
Sorry, we have a few videos pending on all the upgrades on our mustang
What camera you think better u1000 or Blackvue dr900x?
@@dmitrijrazenkov609 U1000 is our personal preference currently
Are you able to see your live footage say from in your workplace, while your car is far away in the parking lot? Or do I need to be connected to the dash cam?
Needs to be connected to the dash cam when you are inside the car. There is a cloud feature you can enable if you wish
I have managed to disable audio for the introductory blurb on startup every time. Does this also cancel mobile camera area notifications, which I do not want to hear?
Yes it does
Question, can you adjust the angle of the camera once the adhesive has already been placed?
Yes, you can remove the unit and adjust it manually
How can I watch from the live view while being home ? And what is the difference between highest and lowest ? And will parking mode be ok if I don’t drive my car that much ? Will it drain my battery ? Or should I leave it on eco mode ?
If you have the batter installed, there is no draw on your vehicles battery. You need to set up the cloud element of the App. Please could you also support us by subscribing to the channel
@@CambridgeCarAudio but the cloud factor only works via Hotspot, correct?
Can I watch continuous recording footage and then clip certain footage myself?
Rather than it be automatically clipped and saved in CONTINUOUS
No, due to it being an insurance approved dash cam. Please don't forget to subscribe :)
I just installed this camera. Do I need to connect my phone everytime I get into my car? It asks, and that light flashes, which is annoying, but if I connect my wifi, I lose the internet, which means no music. Thoughts?
You don’t need to connect every time, just when you want to adjust settings or view files
Thought this was going to show the cloud functions hotspot connections and the like
Sorry, we didn't go into every detail
How to I get alerts to my phone when it is in park mode? I can't connect to anything but files when away from car and the only thing it shows is downloaded videos but can't see the others. Kind of pointless if I can't get real time parking mode updates
Please contact Thinkware support directly :)
How do you switch between the front and rear cams?
The little R of F at the top right and side of the screen as shown in the video :)
I didn't know I could slide my camera off the mount for easy access. Thanks.
No worries, glad we could help :)
Hi, I have thinkware pro q800 the hard wired version. Would battery draw happen if I keep it on motion detection ?
Yes because the camera still has power when the car is off
Even if it’s the hard wire version ?
@@mahmoodrahman1288 of course, where have you hardwired too? A perm feed
Thanks for your help
Hi, do I know if the dash cam is recording when parked I put the sd card in the camera and there was no footage
Does this system cost money beyond the purchase price to use for any services? Are subscriptions involved?
Nope. Thank you, please don't forget to subscribe :)
But can I live stream Thinkware? Can I be miles away checking my live vids?
Set up the cloud part of the app :)
@@CambridgeCarAudio Thanks. 👍🏾
This video really needs timestamps.
We have started doing that in some of our new videos :)
Ok
:)
You are displaying more of your dash cam than of the actual phone screen. You couldn't zoom into your phone screen?
Most of the video is showing the phone screen
Omg you’re grouse doing like that from your lips!! Stop doing it.
Grow up keyboard warrior!
I will, grouse man! I will.
