I started taking up painting and pottery as a hobby and let me tell you this shit ain't cheap but its so rewarding once you finish making something yourself that you're proud of. I have been looking for black female artists on youtube and I was finally recommended one. You! Super excited!

One thing that makes me happy is seeing young brothers and sisters perfeft their craft and be dedicated to it. 🖤. Im an artist myslef and have been soing so for 30 years. Art is the greatest talent for human beings. That is a specialty and you should cherish it for life.

From 5th grade till now can’t count how many times I tried to get into art but just can’t crack it lol guess I will just stick to what I think i will be good after military which is fixing cars😭
This is beautiful work btw hopefully it’s paying off.
Young people/artists you must always gesso your canvases before you start painting/working on them - even if they are brand new from the store. Always add 2-3 coats of gesso to your canvases. It doesn't matter if they are pre-primed. The exception might be for high-quality custom stretched canvases. Just sayin...
