Let me know your thoughts on how things played out at the 1st round of the 2024 NHL Draft
Demidov will be a game changer for Montreal
You were right. You called it. We got him at 20 I donât believe it!!
Montreal got the perfect player to fit their prospect pool and youth
They Got Two Good Players!
CBJ made a great pick
For the Kings to trade all the way back to 26, pick up a second round pick and a later pick-- and still get Liam Greentree... great trade and pick.
Devils got a luxury pick with Silayev
Habs with the steal of Demidov at 5....Anaheim with the huge reach of Sennecke at 3....thanks Pat
Nah bro! The Bruins had the steal of the Draft taking a 6'7 center. You can't teach size. Letourneau will dominate over the Les Hobbits stomping over the scooter and coleslaw
â@@davidbuswa9425 just like how 6'7" Hall Gill stomped the Bruins? Size doesn't = Toughness all the time! With 2 Xhekaj's, Slafkovsky, Mailloux, Guhle, Dach I predict the stomping will go the other way!
Senators could have gotten cute and traded down for more drafts and still have taken Yakemchuk but I think the Flyers probably bailed when Sennecke was taken and I'm very happy with the pick. He's big, can score and is a right handed D man so he checks all of the boxes. I've seen so many "draft grade" videos and articles that base the entire grade on perceived value that it makes me laugh. Cheers from Ottawađ
Liking the Sens pick, Habs got a good one as well. Calgary and NJ did well for where they picked. Surprised with Utah and Hawks picks. Weâll see how it all shakes out and who the winners are in a few years. Cheers
The D players slid because there are lots of good D available in the second round. Why invest a high pick in a D when you can get a similar player in the second round? Iâm betting half the second round will be D. Itâs a crazy deep draft for defense players.
What pick did red wings get?
Danford is 17 . He will end up or 6'2 and will be well over 200lbs. He's considered the best shut down D man in the draft.đ
Every team did what they wanted, smooth first round and the winners are, Montreal, Minnesota, from where they picked and who they got , wow.
Great value pick by NY Rangers! Hate that the Shirts keep throwing away 2nd /3rd round picks on rentals, but he keeps getting his 1st round picks right!
Beniers-Wright-Catton not bad for the future but not promising the next couple years
Your forgetting we have the OHL and WHL leading point scorers, both will go to AHL this year. And Catton will go straight to NHL from WHL in the 25-26 szn
Beniers-Wright-Catton
Jagger Firkus -lead WHL 126 points
David Goyette - lead OHL 117 points
@@toddbos1484 fair enough I mean a lot of swapping to wings but knowing the center defensive responsibilities theyâll be all around regardless Iâm excited
The Blackhawks sucked the big one on this draft. They should have picked Eiserman at 18th.
I thought they were going to. I feel like this draft was full of so many surprises though
Eiserman may have been a goal scorer but way too one dimensional for the hawks style yes he is their for offensive only but hawks needed size and skill this draft so not surprised they did not take him.
Liking the Yakemchuck pick more and more. Guess weâll see if he pans out or not!
Buium or Dickinson would have been a so much better choice for your team imo
ââ@@TonkyTubeYet they fell to 11th+. Guess you know more than these GMs.
@@nishd7161 letâs talk about that in 2-3 years. Btw I never said I knew more than the GMs. But yes, GMs can make mistakes too.
@@nishd7161 like the previous Sens GM who drafted Tyler Boucher (a guy who is not even good enough for the AHL) 10th overall, yeah what a success. đ
@@TonkyTube Guess I'll see you in management in no time. Awesome! Let me know what team in 2-3 years.
Wow, the sens really messes up, Yakenchuk is not even on the same planet as Zeev Buium or Dickinson, or Zayne Parekh!!! I am so upset with the sens!! TYHEY BLEW IT!!! Too cheap to get someone up there to announce the pick as well!!!!
Lmao, heâs way betterđ€Ł this wonât age well
@@neilsunstrum933 You are right. THIS PICK WON'T AGE WELL. Also, still s very cheap organization. Suitable for a shyte hole place.
@@user-xv1ym6rg6i you know nothing of hockey, lmao. Sens sold for over a BILLION. Put that in your pipe and light er up! New ownership, coach, GM, Goalie and a sweet 1st round pick. Green is not your colour
@@neilsunstrum933 Actually just under a billion and the ahole has nothing left. It is still a shytehole organization
I am happy to be a flames fan this draft
THN had Matvei Gridin at 21.
Eiserman. Star of the draft.
The Habs didnât mess up with Michov! Felt he wasnât good fit. In Hughes we trust!!
ummm no that's not what happened.
@@TopShelfHockey Hughes went on record to say he didn't pick Michkov, because of Demidov
Flyers got the next coots. If he does about similar I see a long career for the Luch
A solid 2 way forward and smart! But that's where the comparison ends! I believe he is more skilled and way faster!!!
Tomas hartle traded to the Chicago Blackhawks for the 7th round pick overall
What?
Riiight
I always worry if the young kids games will translate well to the NHL
every team thinks they got the best player and the best may be in round two or three cant tell with kids..
To me the 3 winners are:
1. SJ getting a franchise 1C
2. Mtl getting the best winger at 5, super high upside.
3. NJ somehow landing Silayev. 6ft7 terrifying
Demidov May Have Been The Most Skilled Player In The Draft Celebrini Notwithstanding!
I think Minnesota was the 3rd winner.
@@fr0zenmilk fair
@@remoteviewer57 I get that idea too
Sharks also got their franchise D at 11 with Dickinson
Blackhawks blew it. Should have gone demidov, Connelly and not traded back into the 1st.
Levahunov is a good pick but I agree they shouldâve taken Demidov
I agree they should've taken Demidov but we won't know if they blew it until these kids play out and see what they really are. I don't blame Davidson for moving up. Sennecke getting taken 3 probably screwed up everyone's draft board which probably caused some chaos (I.e a player that teams didn't think would be there)
Habs fan here... thank you for Demigod
@@Toole8 well if we are going to use the âwe wonât know until they playâ speech then nobody gets to talk about rhe draft ever. We all should silently watch the draft, never speak of it or even think silently in our own minds and just go do something like now the lawn until the season starts.
Half the fun of being a sports fan is projecting and speculating. So please spare me the âwe wonât untilâŠâ speech. Everyone knows we wonât literally know until they playâŠâŠ
Love the Flyers pick!! Danny has the guts and wisdom to take a speedy centerman who is young for his draft year and works hard and is a two way player. They are clearly targeting next year with probably three first round picks in what is expected to be a deeper draft than this year. Go Flyers!!
Horrible Flyers pick
Yup
How many games have you seen this year? Like actually seen. đ€·đ€·
Why for what reason would they take that pick when there were so many other studs to pick from
In Danny B we trust! đđđ
@@PTrep2727 .....none, the year hasn't started. Now if you mean LAST year or season....maybe 60-70....
Sidney Crosby traded to the for Gabriel lankderfoot for the 1st round pick overall
Vegas got the steal of the draft
Vegas gets everything. Planned that way
Winners:
San Jose
New Jersey
Minnesota
Islanders
Ducks (Solberg pick)
Rangers
Kings
Losers:
Edmonton
Toronto
Calgary
Boston
Washington
Flyers
Ducks (Sennecke pick)
HTF can you state the Bruins were the losers of the Draft. The Bruins got the steal of the Draft. You can't teach size, Letourneau is going to get bigger and better in 3 years than the top 10 picks
Sennecke pick is actually much better than most people think. Once he puts on some more weight I think he'll actually be a good NHLer. He has very high Hockey IQ and has elite stick handling and a 200 ft game. Just really needs more weight at least another year of development
Smoke Some More Glue @SuperMCModder!
Calgary Got A Highly Skilled Dman In Parekh & Ducks Also A Great Player & Obviosly The One They Wanted In Sennecke!
Boston Got A Skilled 6'7" Defenceman What's Wrong With That?
None Of These Teams Did Poorly!
@@davidbuswa9425 Letoruneau Is A Very Good Skater & Stick & Puck Handler That Needs To Grow Into That New Body That Added 6 Inches This Year! Nothing Wrong With The Pick Except Maybe A Bit Early But That Is who They Wanted Another Zdeno Chara Type Player With Puck Stopping Reach!
@@remoteviewer57 Letourneau has the skill set already. Once he adds 20 lbs of muscle within 2 two years of developing at BC. He gets the call to the Show ahead of anybody in his draft class. By that time, Letourneau can compete against grown men. Letourneau is a bigger, version of Eric Lindros with better wheels
I think the habs had 0 regrets passing on michkov for reinbacher as of yesterday and are just laughing today
Hey Ryan. Your mom is calling from upstairs. Time to go beddy bye. Okay dude?

::happy sobbing::
Fourth comment of the day
Everyone is saying including this bum is saying Montreal messed it up by not taking Michkov. Hello there were 5 other teams that didn't take Michkov. And Montreal has Nick Bobrov who has connections to SKA. Whatever he was saying about Michkov, Montreal wasn't confident about taking him. In the case of Demidov, they picked him this time around. So take it what you will but tired of this weak take on Michkov. 5 other teams could of taken him and passed. So get off this horse.
Michkov likely talked to other teams and said he did not want to live there.
No they did right. And I'm a bruins fan. They have a solid prospect pool and young talent with balance. Everyone is sleeping on Reinbacher
Demidov Is Clearly The Second Most Skilled Player In The Draft He Is A Bit Small But Who Could Catch Him?
â@remoteviewer57 the average size of an NHL player is 6'0 and 205lbs. He is 6'0 and 190lbs at 18 years old, how is that "a bit small"?
You cannot listen to this bozo. He thinks Yakenchuk is in the same level as Buium!!! He is a fool.
Yay Lou didn't trade the pick !!!!!! FINALLY STOCK THE PIPELINE
Jean Gabriel paegu traded to the Chicago Blackhawks for 5th round pick overall pick
Shyne goostbreth traded to the Chicago Blackhawks for the 8th round pick overall
Patrick Kane traded to the Florida panthers for 1st round pick overall
Ryan o reliey traded to the Edmonton oliers for 1st round pick overall
Thank god Tij Iginla didn't go to the annoying Flames.
Habs didn't have any regrets last year. Shows how little you know.
đ Go Habs Go!!
Celine Dion?
Michael Buffer????
Sheâs from Montreal and currently lives in LV. Sheâs launching a comeback and can use the PR. It fits.
Chris tanev traded to the Chicago Blackhawks for 3rd round pick overall
Mitchell marner traded to the Chicago Blackhawks for 2nd round pick overall
Are you all there? đ€
