I love the ❤️ of Phil Keaggy. As a pastor, what Phil said about those that need to come to Christ, repentance, etc. Has encouraged me to do even more in the Great Commission

It's on of my great joys to have Phil as a dear friend. From our first meeting in 1974 he has been an example of a "True Believer". It was a great honor to put Phil together with Tony Levin and Jerry Marotta to create The Bucket List project. Watching the 3 of them create was beautiful.....love you Phil!

Phil’s music literally shaped my music career. I’ve had the pleasure to meet him several times and get to know him years ago. I headed into the secular music biz in the 90s after spending 10 yrs in CCM. I’m thankful to be still working as a producer/songwriter/musician to this day - with much thanks to my early chops by simply learning everything that Phil recorded. Thanks for sharing this interview 🙏

I was fortunate to see Phil Keaggy for a couple of solo acoustic shows at local churches in Nashville. He was having a ball and those of us watching were absolutely awestruck! He did a version of 'Here Comes the Sun' WOW!

Same here and I did countless 'station introductions' at shows, including a handful of Phil's concerts. And I had to smile when he once said backstage, "Hey, I know you." 😀

Phil mentioned Canton and the start of my knowing anything about CCM started in Canton in '78 when I was there to work overnights at Top-40 WOOS FM 107. The program director knew I was a young Christian, so one day he told me to start dubbing from vinyl to reel a weekly one-hour CCM program called Jesus Solid Rock hosted by Jerry Bryant and that was one of my favorite tasks ever. And it seemed to be a new music underground, as it were. And ha, when I shared in young adult Sunday School at church that the station was playing that show early on Sunday mornings, well, I got crickets, nothing but crickets, O well, I was still enthused. Phil and his friends gave us great Jesus music and I was hooked, as we used to say. 😀.

I'm a Christian singer songwriter and I can relate to Phil Keaggy over the loss of his triplets because my wife Janet and I experienced the same thing,in our case we lost twins through a miscarriage and my most popular song on You Tube Stay By My Side is a song I wrote about that experience and how we would get by just the two of us if we couldn't have children,God blessed us though a couple of years later when our son was born,he's a true gift from God as is my wife,as it says in the Bible, all things work together for good for those who love the Lord and it's true, trust in Jesus, also when I wrote and recorded that song we owned a Christian book store and we use to sell Phil Keaggy's records!,true stuff. “I Will Be There” from Getting Closer would make a great Calm song (a channel they have on some airplanes that have remixes of peaceful songs) .
