I met the Allies in the 80's when they were touring with Mylon and Broken Heart. The guys from Allies were running really late for a show in Texas (we already had the stage and equipment set up,) and when they finally did show up, Mylon gave them such a hard time (all in great fun,) and I never will forget that Bob threw it right back that while Mylon and his guys were cruising with nice trucks and busses, Bob, Randy and the Allies were traveling with a U-Haul and motor home! Mylon had to let it go because he himself remembered what it was like before the Neoplan coach...
They were all such a joy to be around back then! AND Me and Randy are probably the ONLY living Iron Butterfly fans!
I also have to say with this interview, like the Brian Duncan interview... the editing style is jarring because you realize that there are missing pieces and it makes the interview look fabricated. Whoever has made the choice to do this, please stop and give us the interview. That's why we're watching.
