I'm glad they do eventually play some music at these Mike Love gigs.
Me and my mom went to see the Beach boys with Stamos on drums. Every time the camara would show him on the screen the audience would cheer.

John Stamos has impressive drum skills . As a Beach Boys purist , ie the original band and Brian's band 22 times , just dropping in here cuz I got this on my CZcams feed. Entertaining segment here between two long time friends .And John Stamos gets criticized for his drumming , however I saw nothing wrong . And he is a good guy IMHO .
John is definitely a good musician, as a musician myself I think he's definitely a good drummer

@@steveskouson9620 John Stamos basically took over the drummer role for the band after Dennis's unfortunate death , John has been playing for them since Dennis passed away he was the drummer for the band and the writer of the song FOREVER that John Stamos made famous.

I met Mike Love and was surprised what what a nice and friendly guy he was, taking a lot if time to talk to his fans, sign albuns, and take pictures with them.
Stamos is on one big ego trip and doesn't even deserve to be on the same stage as John Cowsill. He doesn't even come close to playing drums in the Beach Boys mould.
Surprised to hear that. Met him in person years ago at the airport in Atlanta. He was so genuinely nice, friendly, taking time to chat with people....
I think John is an ego Person, yes. But: he plays with the beach boys since the 80s, here's probably a musical reason for that. He wasnt famous when he started doing Drums for them

No fan of the Beach Boy's music has ever just declared Mike Love to be an asshole. It's a title he's worked hard to earn ever since the early 60s. His ego/narcissism is the only thing bad about their band or music. He was never one of a group/band. He always must be seen as the Star of the Show, as unentertaining as he is.

Yep, the man who wrote the lyrics to most of the Beach Boys songs collaborating with Brian Wilson. The one that sang lead on many hits and graciously gave lead to his cousin Carl Wilson on songs he wrote, a founding member of the Beach Boys.
