I adore this man's acting. He makes any character, even in the worse movie, legit. His characters are so believable, so real, so naturally performed. I hope he gets an Oscar one day, finally. An amazing actor and genuinely funny human being. That's Paul Giamatti, ladies and gentleman!!!
He is funny. When he tells a story at times one can see the character he played in "Private Parts" come out.
Paul Giamatti was amazing in John Adams, a series about the 2nd U.S. president. His acting through all the stages of John Adams' life was just incredible. If you have HBO I'd highly recommend it.

Agreed! If I was trying to tell someone that BK story based on the exact same facts and events it would turn out as a dumb and hopefully quickly forgotten anecdote. I don’t give a single hoot about Burger King but the way Giamatti narrated his emotional ups and downs over a silly gift card was quite engaging.
His performance in Sideways is iconic

Paul was in my favorite Indie move; "Sideways". Such a great Story and the casting was perfect.
He's top notch in "Private Parts" as well.

Paul Giamatti has just done a Hugh Laurie, talking about a Burger King For Life Card before he had got one (just like Laurie did) in anticipation BK will send him a card, as they did with Laurie. The fact Giamatti has just given Burger King a 3 minute international advert promotion across all the countries the Colbert franchise is screened in is bound to help his cause. Genius Giamatti! 😂

1. Train every single BK employee in the world to recognize this specific card as a thing that grants anyone who has it BK for life
2. Modify every point of sale device in the world to recognize a special type of card, of which there are a dozen
3. Have someone write a script that sets the value of a short list of cards to $100 every 24 hours

Since I don't have a car, i can't get Burger King cuz whenever I've gone only the drive thru is open and they won't let one walk through. Same for all franchises. Haven't had fast food for months.

Agreed! Arcadia is one of my favorite Stoppard plays. I saw a regional theater production back in 1997, but that Broadway cast sounds amazing.

There is nothing uncool about this man. Sideways is one of my favourite films and Billions…. Stunning. He is the star of both. When Paul is on stage or screen he is all you focus on.

I am 71 and have a heart condition. If I eat $100 worth of burgers, even if its a week or a decade, I will die. But what a way to go.

I liked him in “Shoot ‘em up”. That movie was pretty cool. But honestly, Paul is great in everything I’ve seen him in.
I was scrolling through comments hoping someone would mention that movie. Watched it again last month. I had forgotten what a fun film that is!
The first time I noticed him as an actor was in Duets. After that he’s one of my favorites. Such a talented actor who can do both drama and comedy equally good.

You know, I never ate burger King as a kid, but I absolutely love it now -- the burger and the lettuce on a whopper is so incredibly fresh whenever I go.

Perhaps the $100 is just the cap. "You get free Burger King for life, but you can't buy out a restaurant at every meal..." Because I can't imagine them making that nice of a gift card.

When I saw the title I assumed this was because of that scene near the end of Sideways when Paul Giamatti’s character Miles drinks his incredibly valuable bottle of white wine in what I presumed to be a Burger King out of a styrofoam cup to accompany a burger and onion rings. (Though that scene wasn’t exactly a ringing endorsement.) Surprised there was no mention of that.

In the early 90s, Seattle had a red-hot fringe theater scene and Paul was its star...I think the last show he did in Seattle was the summer of '92...amazing it was three years from that to Lincoln Center!!!

“Love and Mercy” was the first movie I (knowingly) saw Paul in. Damn he was intense as Eugene Landy. I’ve NEVER felt so uncomfortable in a movie as in that one. He was genuinely scary. That takes some talent.
Paul giamati was also in big fat liar one of my favorite Disney movies.
