- Lands End trail is located in San Francisco California. This is an awesome urban hike. There are many trailheads. We started by the famous Cliff House. parking is free. This video I try and touch on the basic stuff you'll need to know while heading out. Our cell phone carrier is t-mobile and service was in and out. There are bathrooms at the museum and by the thing blowing steam in the video; on your return trip. Bring anything of value with you as, unfortunately this area is bad for car break ins.

A lot of history in this area (a friend was a cook at Cliff House) (Husband was a teen in a band and they played the Sutro Baths... it was an eye opener for him LOL)
Oh wow!!! That's awesome! The Sutro Baths when they were opened looked so cool! I wanna go back and see the Cliff House museum.
The stairs.........wow !! Great video !!
Thank you! Ya, it's short but a workout! I can't wait to go back without the fog and find the labyrinth.
Very cool! Lots of tidbits of information too. Indeed, I can imagine that the Bay area does get its bouts of fog just like us here in the Maritimes...it can put a damper on the views for sure, but we have inland tourists that will drive for hours, just to spend the day in it! Keep up the adventuring...Bruce and Otis
Thanks! The fog can be fun. I'll be back when the fog is gone; maybe this fall. 🙂
Very informative and entertaining! love the music choices!
Thanks! I felt like changing up the music this time; glad it worked 😊
I've been here so many times, one of my favs in SF. However, didn't know any of the facts!
Now you know! In the fall I'm gonna make another video showing the actual views and labrynth.
Great video Paul, I didn't know Nevada had such amazing views!
Thanks and 🤣🤣🤣
lol we are suckers for bridges too
🤣. It said the fog was gonna burn off. The views are epic and...FAIL. When I realized I missed the labyrinth I was gonna scrap the video. I decided to make it; obviously. I'll go back in the fall..."in search of the labyrinth at Lands End". Bridges are pretty cool 🤣
@@ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle you are hilarious. I'm glad you didn't scrap it, it worked great even with out it! AND that's what makes videos so fun, you get to enjoy the small disappointments with the content creator. I love the idea for that video it also makes us anticipate that one!
Lol. That's why I ultimately decided to make it. Show the imperfections and it makes it more relatable. Plus I need all the practice of film making, storytelling as I can get🤣
Wow, this is incredible! What time do you suggest getting there for parking?
Thank you! Weekdays are your best bet. I'd say before noon but the earlier the better. The Cliff house has a museum right now that looks awesome. My buddy did a whole video about it. His channel is: The Somethin or other tour if you wanna learn more. Thanks again 🙂. If you watch his video you should tell him I sent you over, that would be fun 😉
@@ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle Sounds good; thanks!
I visited the park for my first time yesterday. Had a full itinerary set receiving good tips from this video! Unfortunately things have turned for the worse at the park. Upon arrival there was a victim of a vehicle break-in at the main parking lot. Employee at the visitor center stated it’s an organized crew and break-ins are nearly daily. LEAVE NOTHING IN YOUR VEHICLE. Never seen more graffiti in a National Park. There was graffiti at every stop, from the parking lot, tunnel, ruins, along the coastal trail and even down at Mile Rock Beach. Our last stop was the bluff with the Labyrinth. Turns out it has been destroyed. There is nothing on the bluff now (every rock gone). Visitor Center employee stated someone threw the rocks over the cliff. I read the artist is not planning on building another one as this was the 4th time it has been destroyed. There is garbage throughout the park. Same employee stated there are a lot of homeless now living in the park and they can’t keep up with the clean up. So sad to see one of California's best Urban Park/Trail in this condition.
The car vandalism, graffiti, trash, is definitely a bummer. I hope it will improve. I hope videos will bring awareness not more problems. Amazing place.
I've seen so many videos on Lands End, and because of that, I don't need to go 😆This, of course, lends itself to your question we will be answering. 😉Yeah, no, not a fan of all the graffiti. I know this happens with urban trails, but, it's not appealing and unfortunate. Filming is all about.....................timing 😂The Golden Gate Bridge, said, "not today!" 🥤
The graffiti and car break ins is sad. I was nervous about our car the whole time we were gone. On the way back we overheard a guy talking to a Ranger that his car had been broken into. The fog was supposed to burn off 🤔. Next time 🙂
@@ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle Yeah, anytime we travel to the city, which is quite often for our music events, we always have a plan for where we're gonna park. We may even leave our belongings at the hotel, even if we're checked out, and return after our day trip. The micro-climates of SF are really fascinating. We are learning that as well!
