Federal Signal 3T22 | Full Alert | Buckner, KY

Here’s one of those recordings I’ve been meaning to upload for awhile now. Of course, I probably say that about every recording I post. This was taken all the way back in 2020. It was Summer and I took some much needed time off and recorded a bunch of sirens. I met up with a lot of siren enthusiasts with this one. It was definitely fun, and quite an awesome little meetup.
This siren is located at the LaGrange Fire and Rescue Station off KY-146. As you can probably tell, this siren has a damper with a weak spring. So this thing sounds more like a shrill Model 3/5 than a more harmonic xT22. Volume wise, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't loud either.
Sirens in Oldham County are tested every second Tuesday of the month at 10:30am.

The weak spring makes it sound like an STH-10 with undertones. Even with the weak-springed 3T22, this is a great video with an offset camera angle that somehow looks good! (I'm suspecting the golden ratio was used here.)
