Hi there again, still trying to work out if my heater is needed replacing or not. Have the balboa system here in Sweden without the pressure switch. Has the sensors on either side. Hot tub down to only 17 degrees now, it has become cold minus 7. I don't know if there is some built-in freeze safeguard. I am guessing that the heat maintained is just coming from the pump. I have done some more tests today. There is power 230v going to the circuit board, but not 230v going to the element. I have done the continuity test or ohms test with the power turned off, with a multimeter put it on the 0L setting. It said 0 reading. Then l put it on a setting to bleep, not sure if it was the right setting, still was 0L and then it read 19 ish. Does this sound more like a relay problem or is there a possibility that it might still just need a new heater replacement? I am thinking if I did not have 230v going to the element, then a new one can not suddenly give 230vs or ??? No errors on the display panel either.
Hello Sir! We're having a heater problem on a hot tub that was gifted to us. It kinda looks like the right box in this video. Everything is working except the heating element. We get a #32 error and cannot set the temperature. It looks like maybe it also has some rigged wiring inside? I was wondering if you knew what this error is or if there's anyway I could send you a picture of the inside of the box to see if you can see anything obvious? We can't find a wiring manual to make sure we're all wired properly. Again, everything works except the heating element and we get a #32 error
Would water or condensation on the outside of the tube cause tripping?? Pack is only 9 months old..
I'm troubleshooting a hottub, control board was cooked, its been replaced but still no heater remive the heater connectors a d read 19.2 ohms. Pressure switch is working but still no heater. 240v is now after board changed but still no heater.
What should I check if my topside display is blank? Yesterday it was working but was stuck on a 32 code and now isn’t working..

If I have one terminal touching it doesn’t trip the breaker, but as soon as I touch the second one, it trips immediately. What does that mean?

If I remove the element, and run wires from the electrode to the element, it’s heats up immediately. Does it still mean I have a bad element? Or is it just not grounding properly somewhere?

I have SPA with a Gecko in.xe with 2 motors. Lately, I have an error code HR I think and the SPA reach high temperature. I also noted that motor #2 is running after a reset without any indication on the display. I already tested my 4KW geater and reading seems to be goog, 14.9. Do you think that my problems is related with my in.xe. Thanks.
I just replaced the heater tube with new element and pressure switch. When I power the tub on I get 240v going to the heater but the heat light doing not come on, it will go on if I adjust he heat but then turn off after 2 seconds. Not sure what to do
With the heat light not on you don't have 240 at the heater if you did it would be heating..
@@SpaGuy so I was looking at the wrong light, I thought the set temp light was the heating light but that light only comes on when the temp you set is reached.
i have a geckop spa sspa-1-p122-81-01-1jjm-mkg1-3962-o1c and it has a run away heater.just replaced the top panel. any suggestions on how to repair or reset the runaway heater temp > 104 and sometimes says "HI" any solutions?? or recommendations??
I have a spa that is not heating but it does not trip the circuit breaker. The heater element is a 5.5KW. I have disconnected the wires to the element and it ohms out at 33.8 ohms. Could this be the cause of the spa not heating?

My Spa pump is not starting? There is power on the Unit, temperature change and light are working , but pump not responding, you can listen to a "click" there a fuse I have to replace??? Model: SCCF-P122-P212-01-LS Thanks!

What happens if I change a heater from 5.5 k , to a 4k do I safe safe energy on my spa or can I do this? 240v
It just heats about 1.5 degrees less an hour..
@@SpaGuy So if I needed to replace the heating element (I don't have to make 5.5k with a 5.5k ... i could replace with a 4k). The reason I ask is because I am looking to fix the heat on the hot tub, but when I opened up the pack, the label had come off somehow so i cannot see if the heating element is a 5.5k or 4k.
Hello spa guy great videos... Are you familar with a old vita spa? My tub tripped the breaker last night while i was in it? The temp was good and both pumps were running when it blew? I pulled the heater the next morning and tested it which i thought it was bad but tested good? Would the preasure switch cause the breaker to trip? I put a volt meter on it and it shows nothing on the meter? I even pushed the bottom part of the switch and still shows nothing? Any help would be great that James
Pressure switches wont give a reading... typically, if its the pressure switch it will give you a flo code error.

My everything runs good but no heat. Got correct voltage when running. Seen a small puff of smoke coming from heater.
maybe loose wire, causing it to arc.
I Can't Understand why mine not heating I have T9920-101435 Gecko Heater it reed about 14.8 Ohms when I turn it on there is power going to it ??
Our Gecko Model SSPA-MP-P122-P212 was sent to a repair company in Mayer AZ. They sent it back and said everything works fine. We hooked it back up to the spa and it always trips the GFI. Is there a person in Phoenix that can help us? I am the wife and know nothing about electronics. My husband repairs all kinds of electronics but can't figure out this problem. Thank you!
