Awesome mate, well done, just a query if the trailers are kept a further forward alongside tte harvester you might have a better view less looking over your shoulder maybe.
Great video Josh and well done on your first solo chop. Got to say your one up on me as I never operated a self-propelled chopper as I was away from farming by that time, but done plenty of trailed choppers and hitching on to trailers which was fun. Looks like a well filled pit Josh and I like the use of bales on top.
Fine bit of foraging there Josh very humane way of covering the silo compared to tires PS that's the first time I've seen Phil's tractor with no loader
Hi Josh you did very well on the forager for the first time on your own do you have to take some sort of a test or a certificate of competence for driving one. I think covering the silo with sheeting and then bale's is a great idea and it will help compress the silo plus helps with storage, all looks very neat good job. As for rats etc they get anywhere so lots of traps etc 😮 any way great video coffee time take care.
Ohh filling on the wrong side!!! 😎. Sinful! Useful tip when filling start filling trailers with spout 90 degrees to the cab and rear tractor tyre levelish with the header. Less twisting. Well done though lad. 👍👏
That was one busy week for you Josh mowing/raking and you done a hell of a job on the forager That turned out a nice pit of silage jon done a great job on it and the bales are way better than tires and a lot easier to put on I handled way too many tires putting them on pits its an awful job Did the camera battery die when you block up the forager 😂😂😂 Really enjoyed the video Josh looking forward to the next one
Yeah it’s gets rolled all the time it’s getting filled. When we put bales on the top like this we get the smallest bit of waste right on the front and then the rest of the pit is perfect!
That head cam is awful it makes you feel sick i unsubscribed from forwinds farm for that very reason as did lot of others please don’t go down that route love your videos as they have been Kev.
Nice one enjoyed thanks 👍🏴🚜
Thanks Glyn! 👍🏼🙌🏼
Great job for your first time driving d forager doesn't take long get used to it
Just wished we had another 100 acres to go at when we finished!
Yeah d more acres get under your belt d better

That would certainly help with the neck ache! 😂 I’ll rewire the camera so I can look at that too!

Thanks Fraser! Times were different! I doubt I’ll ever get a go on a trailer machine! The straw leaves a great finish in the pit!
Well done for the work on the forager. Interesting one from you and the team
Thanks Stephen! 👍🏼👍🏼
Well done great job
Thanks Edward! 🤙🏼

Thanks Paul! Ah yes, we often take it off for silaging as it’s one less thing to worry about!

Thanks John! Had a couple lessons from Craig, he steered me in the right direction! Hopefully a lovely pit of silage to feed out in the winter!
Well done you, I expect you were nervous to start with, but now you’ve added another skill to your list, great video
Very much so! Got the hang of it by the end of the day though! Thanks Toni!
Cracking video as always
Thanks Paddy!
great end photo!
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Good video Josh pit looks good
Good pit of silage I think!
The way I got taught on the chopper was keep tractor back wheel next to or just in front of pickup so don't have to twist so far back
Spot on that!
Great video as always just out of hospital I had a small heart attack back home josh 🦌🦌🦌👍👍
Thanks Sandy! Oh my! Take it easy, look after yourself!
@@JMFarming yes I will thank you 🙏

Thanks John! There might be some footage of us blocking it somewhere! 😅 bales are the best job!
@@JMFarming 👍
Great job
Thank you! 🙌🏼
Hi love the video just wondering where are you based
We are in Devon! Thanks!
Glad you did not sacked from the forager.😊
Do you have a rat bait program to keep their numbers down. ??
Haha! Yes we have someone come in and do all the baiting. Jon also has a terrier that loves rats!
@JMFarming Gus to posh to be a good ratter , nothing like a Jack Terrorist. 😆 🤣 😂
Do you not roll the clamp as you fill it and how much much spoilage do you get ?
Yeah it’s gets rolled all the time it’s getting filled. When we put bales on the top like this we get the smallest bit of waste right on the front and then the rest of the pit is perfect!
@@JMFarming ah that is a good idea
Hi what is the sheet you use on the pit? Can you send a photo of the company?
It’s kelvin clave farm guard sheeting
@@JMFarming thanks will look it up 👍

In ireland we fill the trailers on the oposite side

@@JMFarmingand the trailer drivers fill the trailers themselves from the harvester
