  • In this video I wanted to do a review on the Petzl MYO Headlamp with can be adjusted up to 370 lumens. This headlamp is insanely bright and can be used for fishing, hunting, camping and electrical work. It can be used for various other activities as well.
The headlamp can be found here on amazon. amzn.to/21q6wgt (associate link)
I have used Petzl products for many years and my old one finally failed at 10 years of heavy use. The only thing that failed was the headband and they are very easy to replace for around $10.
The headlamp itself is very bright and works great. I use rechargeable batteries in mind even though they recommend not doing so.

Are you happy with this product? I just ordered it.. As always, doing research AFTER the purchase ;)
I guess for 79 swiss francs you cannot get this wrong, great deal. I already have a Pixa3 (more of a "work" headlamp, huge twisty controls to activate/deactivate) and got ordered the MYO for climbing.
I hope its well balanced ;) As it's only going to sit on a helmet and not directly on my head, comfort does not matter.
    Excited ;)

I am really happy with it. I owned a Petzl before and it lasted a very long time. This one is extremely bright and has worked great so far. I would imagine it will last just as long as my old one. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching. I tried to look on a search and it appears the newer versions of this have up to 10 settings. If you type in petzl myo a few things came up for 10 setting versions and how to access them.

I am sure you will like it a lot. This is the second one I have owned and they do a great job.

Where did you buy your replacement band for the MYO head torch ?

Is this product good for night trail running?

Honestly I would probably opt for one that has a smaller battery compartment. I used to run all the time and this one takes 3 batteries and I would guess the running motion would make the headlamp move a lot.

Isn't the lowest setting 20 lumens? Great video by the way, thanks.

Did you say three triple A batteries? I thought this model takes three double A batteries. Please confirm.

For $100 why not get the tikka rxp? Its rechargeable and automatic lighting control.

I thought about it but at the time I could not find out if the batteries were removable and did not want to chance it. Later I found out they were though.

Cant believe this day and age that manufactures of this type of product recommend that u use throw away batteries .Fare enough if u only use once in a blue moon ,but if you use it on a regular basis say for work use it would get very expensive to use as well as not good for the environment
Its not asking to much to give micro usb charging as standard these days even if it still uses standard AA/AAA batteries

Its for the ultra running / hiking folks. I did a race with this headset over the weekend and needed to swap batteries halfway though and recharging from a power outlet was just not possible.
