I had honda city petrol variant two cars one after another for 12 years and I was travelling 100 kms per day for last 8 years. I sold them almost 6 years apart.
Now, I want to purchase a hybrid four wheeler. I would be travelling 60 kms in city teaffic per day. Wish to move to a hybrid car/SUV but dont like Vitara or Hyryder. Another Hybrid City would be too boring. Can someons suggest me what I should opt for in automatic transmission hybrid car/SUV segment. My budget is 25-28 lakhs.
I am also fine to drive a sedan or SUV petrol automatic provided it gives me 15-16 kmpl in heavy traffic of city. I need a high end car/SUV, around 25-28 Lakhs, mostly driven by driver. A recliner seat at the back would be a delight.
Hyryder is not a rebranded grand vitara the grand vitara and hyryder are based on Suzuki’s C platform but there hybrid powertrain is supplied by Toyota

Say what you want about the crossover between Suzuki and Toyota, but the car looks good, even better than the Fronx.
That gearbox is a complete put off!!! Ur like revving to 6k with a big smile nd then it shifts nd the revs completely die down, its too slow to shift!!! Same with downshifts, u approaching a corner nd jus can't get a lower gear quick enough. It completely takes way from that racy feeling. Engine is a gem though. Recently test drove a turbo kiger, the cvt on that is much much more fun.
Toyota sells the washed down version of Yaris Sedan in Thailand + Philipines 1.3L MT or the complete 7 airbags + ADAS + Lane Departure Alert + Blind Spot Monitor + Auto Headlamps 1.5L Engine in Malaysia & Singapore. This is the base version for Toyota in this countries.
I am sure Yaris hatchback 1.3L will sell well in India atleast.

Why they use urban cruiser name tag! Simply use toyota taisor & toyota hyryder
Smaller names are always given for more premium and full home developed models that a company likes to associate itself with and that are popular over the time, like Camry, Prius, rav4, chr. New models will have longer names so as to make it clear that it is an affiliated product made for a global brand by another smaller co. and is far from comparison from global classic models, when a nation emerges to a higher economy range or when there is up shift in affordability of general public a taisor is replaced by chr or corolla cross
They are trying to create a brand image for cross over SUV just like they have done with Land Cruiser
SO premium SUV is land cruiser
Cross over SUV is Urban cruiser

Maruti Fronx has 002 CNG variants to choose from, while T Taisor has ONLY 001 CNG variant to be restricted to..

Blame the taxes the Govt imposes on Toyota. They decided not to scale up their manufacturing which means they are limited on what they can offer. And besides, I don't think most Indians can afford the Toyota Camry or the Tacoma that are sold abroad.

@@keygenful Yes but most of Toyota's vehicles cost more than 30 lakh rupees which attracts heavy taxes in the Indian market. So we are stuck with Suzuki cars rebadged as Toyota vehicles.

Yes. Toyota mostly only makes engines for larger vehicles. Making engines for smaller vehicles are a specialty for Suzuki. Toyota makes the engine for the Grand Vitara strong hybrid tho.
Why can’t add features like Electric Parking instead of old fashion head brake. Electric adjustable seats, longer arm rest etc in this 21 century.

At 12.88 lac ex showroom, Citroen C3 aircross 7 seater is a better buy. 1 segment ahead , 7 seats , powerful engine , better looking and ride
The extra seats in the back are only suitable for children & seems very unsafe; I checked the car in the showroom recently. C3 also got a 0 star Latin NCAP safety rating.

Ajkal ye chal kya raha hai automobile industry me, companies pagal ho gayi hai ek hi design do brand se bech rha hai same design bas copy paste kar ke car bech rhi hai toyota ka khud ka kuch design bacha nahi hai lagta hai. VW to fir bhi thoda design change kar ke slavia or virtus sell kar rhi hai, but maruti or toyota bas same car bana rhi hai last me logo change kr de rhi hai. This is nonsense marketing, no one should waste their hard earned money

Toyota is killing its global brand name doing these re badging gimmicks. Man up and start JV with Suzuki here and co create products. why waste all this money in separate marketing and separate warranty / channels ? Customer is the loser at the end.
Ghatiya cars and over expensive cars ka market bann gaya hai india. Where companies are making fool out of ppl. Have visited other asian countries and they have way more better cars in terms of everything with less price.
That’s bcoz our taxation is way higher then other countries, that’s the reason manufacturers are hesitant to get all features and other models in India. FYI , if you buy a car which is sub 4 meter then overall taxes are 29%* + road tax and insurance separate and if you buy car bigger than 4 meter so taxes will be 45%* + road tax and insurance separate. So technically you will end up paying double amount of actual car value.

All cars are same ugly looking with substandard features, the government has pressurized companies to make such cars worth 6 lakhs, and the companies sell it for 15 to 30 lakhs and gives government a cut , Sedans and small cars are extinct plus on road price me taxes , the cars in India are marketing in the name of features which are not practical, whereas the big businessman man don't pay taxes and car consumers have to pay rich peoples indirect tax plus the taxes charged by government with burden on consumer, if you buy car the actual cost of car should be 30 percent of the car price the 70 percent value is for taxes , indirect tax on behalf of the rich people politically connected who never pay taxes
Sad Reality Of India, overseas we get the best cars in 10 to 15 lakhs whereas in India the same cars for 50 to 60 lakhs , Indian Cars are worst only all features and safety is on paper and advertisement not in Product
