  • Here's an updated PART 2 video as of Aug. 2021 - • Why I Couldn't Wear Pa...
I just wanted to share my quick story with y'all about how I was raised in the church. The women could not wear makeup, pants, jewelry, color nail polish, weaves, nothing artificial!
I am sharing this to say that I can appreciate it now and enjoy my freedom; not to push beliefs and religion on others. I believe God told me about The Modest Movement Ministry, not to be legalistic, but to shed His light on the idolatry regarding beauty.
Thanks for viewing and subscribe for more videos! This year I will be doing a video on: The Body of A Goddess, more topics on Music, and many more God-inspired topics spoken to me.

Modesty is beautiful and definitely something we should aspire towards... however it can also be counter intuitive... focusing so much on whether or not we are dressed "modest enough" all the time...that can also become an idol...and cause stress and fear if it doesn't meet the modest police standards...
We can make an idol out of anything.
So glad God does look at the heart.

Thanks for stopping by! That's so true. I think I talked about my fear dealing with that stress in another video. I was in despair about my spiritual walk with God because I literally thought my clothing choices (although they were modest) made an astounding difference in my salvation 😅😅 thank God He saw my distress & answered me about it the next day.

If God only cares about our actions then you're in deep trouble friend. Because we all fall short of GODS glory every single day... yes that includes you...
BETTER START KEEPING THE LAW PERFECTLY, AND EVERY COMMANDMENT. BECAUSE YOU JUST SAID GOD ONLY CARES ABOUT OUR ACTIONS....
AND GUESS WHAT YOU HAVE SOME COMPETITION BECAUSE ONLY JESUS KEPT IT PERFECTLY...WHICH IS WHY HE HAD TO COME AMD DIE FOR US, BECAUSE WE COULDN'T SAVE OURSELVES.
No shortcuts!! Better start dressing in the most MAN defined modesty as possible because you know, GOD DOESNT CARE AT ALL ABOUT THE HEART 😅

I only felt different when other kids questioned me about why I wore dresses all the time. Also it was harder to find dresses too when I was younger. But now it’s more dresses available. You can still look a feel beautiful in dresses.

1 Peter 3: 3-4 says woman should not make those things idols and believe that those things are what make her beautiful but it is not a sin to wear pants or make up or jewelry. It only becomes a sin when you make those things idol. Modest clothing yes. Women wearing pants a sin absolutely not. It’s the heart that matters. You can be covered from head to toe and have a haughty attitude and you can wear pants and make up and be as humble as Moses. Jesus looks at the heart. However if not wearing those things is how you wish to honor Jesus than that is great also. God bless you.

I honestly feel like I should stop trying to tell ppl about the pants, jewlrey, and make up unless the Lord leads me to & or if I get asked about it you know? Bc I just don't want to focus on my outward but more on my inward. I refuse to tell someone that if they don't stop wearing certain things (pants on women, make up, ect) then" they r going to h***" 😔I just choose to wear skirts&dresses now bc I feel a lot more feminine, and beautiful in my natural state. I used to idolize my body😔I used to constantly fantasize on how small I wanted my waist, or how" sexy" I would look with some handsome guy if I wore certain clothes&hair styles or w.e lol. Hi! Thanks so much for viewing this video. It is beautiful that you want to raise your children this way, however, it is not a requirement of salvation. I want my daughters to also have the same mindset when it comes to beauty & clothing. Rather than forcing them to wear skirts & dresses, I'd teach them about Jesus & the importance of women being modest & reserved. With that foundation, they will think about their physical presentation on their own with Jesus in mind.
My church was strict on this area so my parents just didn't purchase pants and other things that we couldn't wear. But I wouldn't personally force that on my children because it can misconstrue the wrong message to them about the Lord.

There's scripture in the new testament where it gives you a list of things that are sins unto death ...and wearing makeup is not in that list. Don't fall for the legalistic lies, they will bring you back to the law, and make everything a " sin". Put your full faith and trust in Jesus, and walk according to the Spirit, feeding your spirit with the Word of God. But don't focus on these little legalistic stuff, it can bring you back into bondage of the Law which we are no longer under. We are free, as Paul the apostle tells us... just don't use your freedom to indulge in sin... which BTW, WEARING MAKEUP IS NOT! Hope this helps!

So it's interesting, It's like... At the end of the day, I wear skirts because I'm a woman. I did wear makeup at a wedding last summer and I felt beautiful. You aren't the only woman who feels insecure with just a natural face and I wish we wouldn't crave to look so perfect and flawless all the time. It just comes with being a woman I guess, there's a lot of emphasis on our appearance. I'd also like to add that the pants in themselves are not sinful or the problem, but more so the enhancement that it gave your bottom that could be a stumbling block to someone else. We all know how everyone tends to worship the "thin waist, big bottom" image. It's not the woman's fault that she was designed that way, but we are responsible for what we do in this world. 😬 thanks for sharing!

@@modestmovementministry Being attracted to the same sex isn't wrong but once you start having intercourse it becomes wrong. Makeup isn't wrong but once you wear it , it's wrong. The Bible explains how it's for the Whore and Jezebel. To explain it more .a woman who puts on makeup looks different. At least the way I've seen it. Some girls do it very modest which is fine. But others are CAKE FACE EYELASHES AND PLASTIC NAILS OR POLISH. The Bible speaks down on that sort of style. It causes Men to fall in love with another false image and it's deception because what if I love this girl with makeup and now when it's off I want to cheat because she looks like a man. Finally I don't think it's a sin if she wears makeup from time to time but doing it EVERY DAY for work and coming out without and sleeping all day and putting it on for work is almost like cheating. Women can't serve multiple masters . Work becomes their God . They get ready for work , She stays at work extra hours all the time and extra days, she will do whatever her boss tells her . But when I ask her not to wear it she will have an attitude and it feels like she is cheating with her work.

10 I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk. 11 I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck. 12 And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head. 13 Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen*, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom. Ezekiel 16:10-13
How can God bless one with something that is evil. Makeup jewelry fine clothes are not evil but the idolatry of is.
Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters.
      2
One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables.
      3
The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him.
      4
Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
      5
One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.
      6
He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.
      7
For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone.
      8
If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
      9
For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.
      10
You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat.
      11
It is written: "`As surely as I live,' says the Lord, `every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'" [1]
      12
So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.
      13
Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.
      14
As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food [2] is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean.
      15
If your brother is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother for whom Christ died.
      16
Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil.
      17
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,
      18
because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.
      19
Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
      20
Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.
      21
It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall.
      22
So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves.
      23
But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

I'd like to provide some evidence as to why men should wear pants and women should wear skirts.
#1. In Deut. 22:5 we are told that men should not wear women's clothes and women should not wear men's clothes.
Now there has to be some garment which "pertaineth" to men and something that "pertaineth" to women..... fundamentally. Otherwise the text is left to changing traditions and culture made by man's opinion.
#2. Pants are mentioned in the Bible under the name breeches and hosen in the KJV. These are old English words for pants. Breeches and hosen only ever apply to men.
Yes men wore some type of long robe or coat as well but this was not the main garment. Notice that a robes and coats are outer or layered clothing.
Now notice the term "gird up your loins"
    2 Kings 4:29, 2 Kings 9:1, Job 38:3, Job 40:7, Jeremiah 1:17
This term only ever applies to men. What does it mean? It means to lift (or gird) "up" that outer long garment... which would be a robe or a coat type garment.... and tuck it into your belt or loins.
This is perfectly fine for a man but for a woman this would be indecent as we will see next.
#3. The word "discover" in connection with the word skirt only ever applies to women. It means to lift up and look under one's skirt which is shown to be a negative and shameful thing. Notice the following verses.
    Jeremiah 13:22&26
    Nahum 3:5
    Deut. 22:30
To "discover" or look under a woman's skirt is to reveal her shame. Notice that when a man girds up his loins his shame is not revealed because he is wearing breeches or pants underneath which is actually his main garment and would be seen even if his coat isn't girded up because coats and robes are often left open in the front.
Note that it is acceptable for women to wear pants 9r tights under their skirts especially in cold climates. But it is not to be worn in the sense that it is "seen" as the main garment.
#4. There are some occupations which demand that you wear pants like police officers, firefighters etc. Logically we must conclude that women should not be filling these roles. Even without the subject of clothes, somethings just aren't designed for women. That used to be common knowledge but has become offensive now.
#5. The world's logic as it relates to clothes has become very immoral.
They say wear a dress and a suit when you get married but if you go to the beach both men and women can be clad in underwear which is basically nothing.
Or if you are an athlete, again it's okay to wear almost nothing to reduce drag if you are running or swimming.
So decency depends on whether you are in the court room or by the water. And we take pictures and post them online for all to see us our naked state.
The fact is that many fashion designers are themselves a part of the LGBT community and are pushing their agendas in their designs.
In this time we need more distinctive clothing between men and women, not less.
We need to get back to God's standard. Remember Acan in Joshua 7.
I believe that this truth will come to the fore before the return of our Lord. I pray that His people will be ready to receive it.

Thanks for stopping by! I've since made a Part 2 video , and also talked about Deut. 22:5. I appreciate your explanation and scripture references, but I highly doubt that anyone is going to hell or offending God for being progressive in fashion but still upholding the principle of modesty and being distinct by assigned sex. I think it is extreme to condemn and discourage others for wearing pants when they are dressing modestly and living a holy life. Brother, that holy life alone qualifies them for Heaven, not on the basis of if she wore pants all her life. This is scripture. People are going to hell for lack of belief in Christ and for continuing to live in sin. Women's pants that are worn with propriety, decency and with a pure heart does not condemn anyone to the lake of fire.

@@modestmovementministry HI dear. The problem with your response in my mind is that you don't "feel" like God would block someone from heaven because if something so "small". But there is a danger in moving from feelings. And it's not just about this subject.... it covers all of God's principles where people ask questions like, would I really go to he'll for "that"... the real question is how much do we want to please him... not how close can I get to the line, or what can I get away with without losing my ticket to heaven. How much are we really "seeking" for truth and to study. Or do we just assume we are righteous based on what everyone else is doing... there is a large amount of deception out there. This being one of them. And I believe that bit by bit God is calling His people back to the old path ways. This is why I said I hope we will be ready to receive it when it becomes a world wide talking point. Should women wear pants? The answer is no... but this light has been lost to thousands of true Christians through false teachings... most are ignorantly following the wrong way and I believe God winks at their ignorance.. but that's God's part and I don't want to get into that.

When I was younger, my younger sister and I went to the mall and she was always the one who had make-up and was more modernly-put-together, while at the time, I didn't wear make-up and wore basic clothes (sweater and leggings, running shoes).
A guy came up to us (to my sister, but ignored me as the convo was directed to her) and asked if we'd like to hang out with his friends at the university. My sister was always the one with the sharp come backs so she brushed him off by saying 'hmm, you're too young for us, sorry.' 😂 He tried to save face by saying we looked so young for our age; when in reality, the guy was probably 1 or 2 years younger than me at most so we were all definitely within the same age range haha.
Fast forward to a several years later, I started wearing make-up to work and upped my wardrobe (nothing revealing or extreme, just better quality in materials and platformed heels for height bc tbh, I don't have any 'assets to flaunt' haha, no butt no breasts LOL and I'm an introvert). I was treated very well at work and during my commutes too. Even sales people greeted me friendlier when I went shopping (pros and cons to this too, while they were extremely helpful in assisting me with finding items I needed, I also felt like I was being sold-to more when I went out with make-up, versus when I went out bare face, I was able to shop without pressure, almost like I was unnoticed).
In comparison, when I didn't wear make-up, I definitely felt more like a ghost when I'm out and about. Not that I was ever treated badly for going out bare-faced, but I definitely didn't get the same royal treatment, it's quite bizarre/interesting. It's also really difficult bc with make-up, the affirmation I got from people by the way they treated me (more openly, and dare I say, more respect), made me feel more confident and safe.
Wearing make-up in a way, gave me the license to be my quiet self without coming off as a prude/snob/or both..it's really sad actually, but perhaps this is just a result of living in a city where the financial opportunities are.
Now that I wfh and wear a mask when I go out, I don't use make-up, but I have to admit I miss the feeling of putting effort into my attire; because the smell and packaging of the cosmetics themselves were nice too; not strong like perfume, but lasts only the moments I applied them to my face. I actually didn't start using make-up until mid 20s and in a way, I felt like I missed out on all the years that I didn't bc wearing make-up also gave me a bit more confidence and thus I talked more to my colleagues; more than I normally would, but was still reknowned for my quietness haha
These days, now that I'm a few years older than pre-pandemic days, I feel like an older auntie lounging around at home in comfy home clothes bc I have no opportunities to use make-up in my wfh life now haha. So I'd say, make-up does have some sort of power and that power can be a good and bad influence to ourselves.

I am in favor of modesty, to emphasize right at the beginning 😄
But one thing bugs me about that topic.
Pants are for men, dresses for women. Ok, but where did this division come from?
Because until Jesus and in Jesus' time, there were no pants, everyone wore dresses, both men and women.
Which means that this division came much later, from the people, and then it has nothing to do with modesty.
Let's also remember that throughout history, men were the first to wear make-up, heels and wigs.
Whenever I think about that topic, I ask myself, but who decided that? Because as I said, pants didn't exist then and everyone wore the same clothes 🤷🏻‍♀️

God is not against makeup. Let me explain. Put God First.. I don't wear makeup anymore because I am sick. One day I gave my daughter a box of makeup. She came out of a relationship where everything she had was thrown away anytime someone gave her something it got thrown away by her abusive manipulating boyfriend both her babies were taken from her st birth by his mother and sister who abused my daughter as well. The makeup was to let my daughter know that things can be replaced but people can't. It was my way of saying you are beautiful with or without makeup. To give her something that she had lost. My mother whom she was staying with at the time. Got the box of makeup and threw it out to the trash. Told my daughter it was from the devil. I told my mom that my daughter was an adult with special needs. Still an adult and you always taught me not to steal from others. Growing up you would go through my things even after I was married you would and throw away what was not yours to throw away and blame it on the devil. No I gave her that makeup I am not the devil. And what you did by throwing it away is a form of stealing. Stealing my daughters right to make choices. And just out right stealing. Please mothers please don't treat your daughters like they are objects to men. If a woman wants to look pretty she should be able to. Some women are fine without makeup that's their choice but don't make force your daughter to do what you are afraid of. Let them make some choices if not than. They are not living a fully abundant life. They are living by your rules and regulations. Jesus came to set the captive free. And mothers and grandmothers are binding their children. And their grown children. I have seen my mom wear makeup. Now its her Granddaughters time. If a women gets raped or harassed its not because of what she is wearing on her face or body. Its because the person doing the raping has no love in his heart is full of hate. It is not temping the rapist. They already had it in their own heart to rape, or maleste. Had both happen and wasn't wearing makeup. I've had men say you don't look good without makeup and some that said you look good without makeup and some of those men really creeped me out. They would stare. So its not the makeup its not the clothes it's the heart of the person and only God can change them no matter what we wear we can't change another person's heart.

God doesnt send people to hell for their outward appearance, is the sin of lust, and other stuff. Women are only send or people ar sent to hell for lust the principle is all about looking modest.
In Gen. 24:22 Abraham's servant gave a gold nose ring and gold bracelets to Rebekah when he sought her to be Isaac's wife. Wow jewlery and the funniest thing is that Rebekah was a PROPHETESS
Faithful women in the Bible adorned themselves. Rebekah, who married Abraham’s son Isaac, wore a gold nose ring, gold bracelets, and other expensive jewelry that she received as a gift from her future father-in-law. (Genesis 24:22, 30, 53) Similarly, Esther accepted “beauty treatments” to prepare for her potential role as queen of the Persian Empire. (Esther 2:7, 9, 12) These treatments apparently included the use of “cosmetics,” or “different kinds of makeup.”
    Misconceptions about makeup and jewelry
Misconception: At 1 Peter 3:3, the Bible condemns “the braiding of hair and the wearing of gold ornaments.”
Fact: The context shows that the Bible is highlighting the value of inner beauty in contrast to that of a fine appearance or adornment. (1 Peter 3:3-6) This contrast is also made elsewhere in the Bible.-1 Samuel 16:7; Proverbs 11:22; 31:30; 1 Timothy 2:9, 10.
Misconception: The use of eye paint, or “eye shadow,” by wicked Queen Jezebel proves that wearing makeup is wrong.-2 Kings 9:30, footnote.
Fact: Jezebel, who practiced sorcery and murder, was judged for her wicked deeds, not for her appearance.-2 Kings 9:7, 22, 36, 37.
The issue is that we should dress modest and not in a way to drag attention or over glorify themself just to come to church to be an icon.
