Let's check out the Fender American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster and see how it compares to my Collings OM-1. The Collings OM-1 is what I consider my dream acoustic guitar, I've had it for several years now and it's so great. However, it is expensive, and it SOUNDS expensive. For that reason, I don't want to take it out to every gig. Will the acoustasonic be a suitable replacement?

What do you think about the Acoustasonic? Are you getting one?
How is the feel? That’s what I need does it play like an electric? Is it shreddy? Would Al Di Meola like it? I could see it being a great fusion guitar if it plays low.
@@toddwilliamson8557 I got the action nice and low with a setup, I do bends and vibrato pretty regularly, and just kinda know I'm not going to be able to bend the G string with it being wound. I still dig it a bunch though!
he's back, and wow that collings sounds fantastic!
It does sound pretty good in comparison, huh lol
was honestly suprised by the "woofiness" of the Collings. Nothing some EQ couldn't clean up. Then again, maybe it's my studio monitors/room
So the IR was just a reverb?
I think the Acoustasonic is cool, and I love that offset shape. But I just don't see it fitting for a lot of people. Yes, great couch guitar, but not at that price. Maybe for the guy who plays half of a live set on acoustic. Idk, I'd like to get my hands on the Player Series version.
The Collings was not very impressive. The Fender sounded pretty good but not 2000 good.
your kick drum and bass is drowning out the guitars
