@@terminalanimo5374 neither turtle nor melon armor protects the caterpillar from dolphins, considering they turn into butterflies which proceed to get sniped
@@flaurne yeah, the crab build relies on a way to cheat attack which is usually done with meat 🍖 making the melon 🍈 kinda terrible, similarly buffs get overridden when caterpillars transform into butterflies so both mentioned new "meta builds" are fundamentally flawed to begin with lol

I've had pretty insane luck with Seal. I think it's a little underrated by most, and probably overrated by me.
Yeah I wanna say if you get the seal early and focus on giving it food. I pair it with a penguin and keep any lvl twos that have gotten buffed. I won once with a swan, ant, seal, penguin and a monkey
@@kylepanek8362 its difficult to “get seal early” because by the time you are able to get it, your squad is usually established and focused on improving your current units
@@p6v665 understandable, I don't think it deserves D tier, but if early enough through low tier level ups, you'll get it faster than waiting
I feel like it is similar to worm, you need to get it early, get it to lvl 2 ASAP, and hopefully get some cows.
@@p6v665 the move with seal is dump a unit for it instantly because it will get statted and stat your other units up. Have had pretty insane chocolate/seal plays.
NL should do a post game analysis on the turn 45:08 just to see how much he threw he game there.. lol
when he leveled the bison to level 2 with no lvl3 on his team it gave me great pain

NL always makes some questionable yet smart plays, and then there's the segment ending game where he just sacs his whole game in one shop.
That last game was probably one of the most painful things I’ve ever had the misfortune of watching. I love NL but Jesus I would rather get tortured than watch that game again

Horse is actually doo-doo tier. I do lose to it now and then which is just a testament to the game being pretty well-balanced...but it's so bad. I think it's actually worse because it's tempting, the effect is really easy to understand and implement but +1 (or 2 or 3) damage usually matters so little.

@@Northernlion It is funny to me how people compare horse 3 to a turkey... when the level 1 turkey gives 3 more stats (health, which is also better), costs 15 less
gold, and can still scale with levels.
Turkey is a much higher tier unit... true. But you can transition to a turkey build with lots of other unit comps beforehand. Whereas you pick a horse and you've already wasted 2 gold.

EDIT: Anti Dolphin Tech is either a second crab or a dumpster unit to fill space. Sure, you end up hard carrying a unit, but the dolphin is busy doing nothing of value
get a 1/1 bee on your team so you have a 50% chance for the dolphin to not attack your caterpillar

Seal usually comes too late or doesn't fit in, but I just had a run today were a got seal as soon as I could. I already had a crab with meat a dodo and found a rabbit and just started feeding it. Flow some cows through throw a snake in when you need it. 10 wins easy. Roll me Freeze me Juice me Squeeze me

if you get bluebird early it can be an end game carry. especially with a tropical fish. u put bluebird at the far left to just boost its attack from the beginning.
I’m gonna be that weirdo who defends the Seal, but I’ve ran Seal+Bunny a lot and it’s pretty good to get the seal to x/50 with either melon or garlic, while also buffing some of the weaker dorks in the squad. It’s made big scorp work for me just because bunny+seal+sushi is a recipe for HP.
Also if you see a cow or cat, it feels pretty pog, and it’s good at turning chocolate into an omni buff.
I could be wrong though, I don’t play that much.
I've ran a level 3 dolphin with a tiger behind, it cannot send 2 attacks to the same enemy so it will hit 2 different lowest hp targets for 15 damage each. I won that round, dolphin is criminally underrated
I don't know what's up with my shops but there are some units I can literally never get to Lv3 of even Lv2. Like, I don't know if some animals are rarer than others but I see incredibly few Dolphins. I'd love to try some novel builds but the game won't let me lol
