@@itchyprince3793 Shouldn't be too bad. If you ground the pole and the live wire touches it: it should pop the breaker from a direct short preventing any fire.

Metal poles are a great idea, they work as lightning strike absorbers too.
Just replace the poles with Crown Vic's sticking out of the ground, you have enough to weld a couple together if they are not tall enough. 😃

That's why they use long forks in wrecking yards and pick them up from the end, NOT the side

Cleetus there is a company i used to work for that makes fiberglass telephone poles that are meant for weather like that down there they are bulletproof the company is called (Creative Pultrusions)
In Alum Bank PA, the fiberglass poles would solve your 70 year old problem for the remainder of the tracks life

I'm so excited for when the track starts generating in person spectator revenue. I plan to drive to Florida from upstate NY (I'm 1hr from Canada). The spectator revenue will make things happen even faster than they are now. All new bleechers, light poles, fencing, paved track surface, paved pit spots, new shop, skys the limit!
I'm in Nebraska and plan on attending the first spectator event. I don't know what I would do...probably just walk around like a total spaz and be annoying, sleep in my van, ya know, Nebraska stuff....

I waterproofed my rc car and got outside and the wind helped me hit 76MPH. Fort Myers got a bunch of wind and a torrential down pour for about 3 minutes and it was nothing but wind after that.
Florida ain’t bad to drive in, even with rain went through a big rain storm a few months ago when I was getting a rear axle for my trailblazer from Tallahassee
