- Over the course of the last 9 months, our international post-production team have been working hard on the VFX-shots on Part II.
This is a 100% non-commercial volunteer driven production and this film lives by the drive of the people involved and the fan interest.
Out of the 330 total VFX-shots, 220 have been done and we wanted to end the year with a small Christmas present: A preview of the huge fight in the second part that you'll get to enjoy sometime next year.

I just discovered your channel and watched Part I! Oh my goodness it is amazing! I definitely didn't want it to end. As I was watching, I heard a distinctive, familiar voice. Hmmmm....LARS!! omg its Thrawn! I am coming into the game really late and FINALLY just started watching all the animated Star Wars series this past year. The Clone Wars, Rebels (!), etc. As soon as I "met" Thrawn in Rebels, I was hooked! I even started reading (listening to) the Thrawn books as I am making my long commute to work and back just so I can hear that voice. Not many actors can hook me on their voice alone...the cadence, the tone, and extreme calmness. I am especially excited about the bits of humor he shows in your Part I. His acting skills are amazing. I loved all the characters, especially the main character.
I was reading a lot of your comments under Part I and read about all of the production bits. What a labor of love! Also, the fact that people are working for just the love of Star Wars itself puts a smile on my face and in my heart. I wish I had a ton of money to give because this is definitively worth it! I am happy that I just found you and watched Part I because that means I dont have to wait over a year, like many others, to see the second part!
The scenery, the costumes, dialogue, music, cinematics and special effects are top notch! Where was this filmed? I am hooked and can't wait for Part II! Again, thank you for doing these for us.

It also took me sometime to get into the animated Star Wars, but I'm sure glad I took the time to do that, because it was a huge influence on the making of this story, actually. :-)
Lars is an amazing actor and a very giving colleague. The level he brought to this as a volunteer on the production was really quite amazing, but that's just the kind of person he is. If he believes in you, he'll deliver for you.
We shot this in Denmark. :-) I wanted people to see Denmark in a different light and Part III especially has some great locations, but I have to get Part II out first, before we get to all of that. :-)

@@DaG.O.A.T. It really depends on the people who answer the call. I have 100 VFX shots and I have less than 10 VFX-artists on them right now.
Artists who've worked as volunteers for a long time, some even years.
So, I'm quite dependent on the work produced by kind and dedicated volunteers, which makes planning nearly impossible. I have high hopes that Part II will come out this year, but that's the best answer I have right now. And I wish it were a guarantee instead of hope.

G’Day & love from Australia. I’m a new subscriber and was just wondering if the hand-to-hand combat was inspired by the Daredevil TV series as I’m getting very strong vibes from them. (I’m also not so sure the special gauntlet fits in the Star Wars universe).
I’m really looking forward to Part II.
our inspiration was from a lot of different sources. We wanted to pay homage to old school hong kong action films, but also modern films like kingsmen, the raid etc.

The very first Facebook post I made, that put me into contact with the stunt coordinator on this production was about finding people who wanted to do fight scenes akin to what you see on Netflix' "Daredevil" and the Indonesian action movie "The Raid", so I'm very happy to hear that this is the feeling you get, because that's what we were aiming for!
With the production budget corresponding to 1% of a single episode of The Mandalorian, it is so immensely difficult to make something that can compete with the big budget studio outings, so we're humbled to get that nod and recognition.
Can't wait to see part Il. Unlike Disney Starwars, I'm looking forward to this with great enthusiasm.

Oh this looks good! The action sequences definitely are better executed than the first one (not that the first one was bad ofc). I love that Lars' character is kinda using the force to control everyone. Or that's what it seems like. Could be wrong
The whole fight scene is an escalation from the beginning, where we go from the blasters in Part I and through the batons on the back and then on to fists and kicks here in Part II, so there's plenty more!
And yes, it's from his "Force Persuasion" at the end of Part I that's in play here.

I just finished part one and need part two already
We gotta make it worth the time put in by all parties that made the film, so it's taking a bit long, I know. But hopefully it'll be worth the wait, when it finally arrives. :-)

Sometime this year, hopefully. We're quite understaffed at this point in the post-production progress, so I can't give a more precise time than this, unfortunately.

Hey!
We're not keeping up the same pace at the moment. A large portion of VFX-artists are still looking for paying work around the world, so I have to contend with lesser available artists to work as volunteers at this time.
We're at app. 50% capacity from the run-up to the sneak peak and that took 2½ months to complete 47 VFX-shots and we still have 109 to go. So, I'm bracing myself for a long haul. This year seems viable, but April-May seems unrealistic, even though I'd have loved that for everyone.
Quit your day job and finish part 2 please.
I've actually mostly focused on getting both Parts II and III finished, but it's a gargantuan task as it's an entirely volunteer-based effort. We're working hard and will keep at it!
