- This is NOT sponsored. A GINORMOUS THANK YOU to ZSL London Zoo for having us at their Gir Lion Lodge experience. it surpassed all our expectations and was truly memorable.
The after hours tours were exceptional. It felt so special to have the grounds to ourselves and to see the animals in their prime - we had Bhanu the Lion roaring, JayJay the Tiger playing with his daughter, enrichment fun with Misha the Aardvark and kisses from Jimmy and Yoda the Gibbons to name but a few. The dinner and breakfast were delicious, the accommodation was divine and the whole visit will stay with me for a lifetime.
A very special thank you to Hannah, Joseph and Joy for taking superior care of us and filling our heads with the most fascinating stories, facts and behind the scenes. I have a whole new respect for the work they do at ZSL London and am honoured to have seen so much more of it.

This is a brilliant upload! I went too a zoo somewhere in Scotland several years ago where we could get close up to lions and a very large historical looking hippo! I thought I'd be thrilled, but, it made me so sad :( the animals were obviously drugged and I thought, 'this is not how they should be'! I wouldn't like anybody to drug me so much just so people can walk around and stare at me.
Oh that's devastating. I'll be honest - I had my reservations before going, but the experience taught me so much about the ZSL, their admirable ethics and that the welfare of the animal and future of the animals is at the forefront of everything they do. They are not a commercial zoo, they are a charity, and everything they make gets funnelled back into ensuring the animals live the best lives possible in captivity and secures a future for those in the wild. Amazing. I as honestly blown away.
I did a day trip once. If I ever get the opportunity I'll do what you did because that looks like lots of fun.

That looks awesome! I now really want to visit the London Zoo! I did this once at the Houston Zoo in Texas. It was pretty cool. My cousin worked there so I got to get in free lol! ...btw your BF is awesome!
