My grandmother is currently going through something similar. It’s not breast cancer - it’s a different type but it’s still tough. She’s strong though, as your mum sounds like too x
Put some lemons in the freezer and grate some onto her food.
This is absolutely beautiful. Using flowers as hair is inspirational. I just know how proud your mum must be.
My mum passed from cancer in 2017. She would colour with us as kids and always told us we are never too old to colour. I still use her Derwent artist pencils (her favourite) and I’m pretty sure she had a copy of your book provided by her hospitals cancer unit. Thank you so much for sharing your story.

I lost my mom in 2019 and soon I hope I can open up about the experience like you have. It’s tough to discuss the raw emotions and rollercoaster a family goes through. Well, dang. I wasn't expecting to sob during this video. My mom had breast cancer and beat it, but it's always super stressful each year she goes in to be checked. She's my absolute best friend even though I'm now 37 and have kids of my own, and I cannot even fathom life without her. I wished she lived closer so I could go hug her right now. Thanks for this lovely video and for the printable coloring page. 💗

I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer last year. Chemo is definitely a challenge and being hairless is a personal shock that's hard to with through. I'm sorry about your mom, I can tell she was loved 💟

Such a sweet and inspiring video! I adore the pink! My grandma died from some form of cancer in 1996 and she was going down the list of family thinking how everyone could and would be okay as she planned to rest and let go so she could be at peace in heaven.
I know she is happy there and free of pain but I still miss her. I am a grandma now and pour every ounce of love I can into my kids and my two grand daughters.

This is beautiful! My mom was diagnosed less than a year ago and watching her go through chemo and radio has been painful, she was so scared to lose her hair since that’s the source of her femininity. It is tough to see a love one go through cancer I wish I could hug everyone that has.

I just now find this video & you, my dad died from cancer DEC 20 from cancer , my mother died last DEC 22 from breast and ovarian cancer, my grandma died DEC 11 2021 lung cancer my sister died Jan 31 2010;breast cancer..your video hit different, I needed it.thank you for making your colouring book free, I don't have a printer but downloading was free! I lost my Dad 4 years ago in January to Brain Cancer. I too was the one who lived with my Dad to care for him & see him go back & forth to the hospital, it really effected him mentally, took him back to being a child, he couldn't understand what was going on & why he had to do all these painful treatments. As children it's only natural that we someday lay our parents to rest, but we also expect to watch them grow old, not to be taken from us at such a young age & in such a sad way. Cancer is such a sad disease. The worst thing I've ever had to do was watch my best friend as a child & then my father as a young adult be taken away in such a devastating way. I am so sorry that you & your loved ones had to experience the same thing with you Dear Mother. This is just so wonderful & beyond special that you put together this project. Thank you for sharing this & your story with us. It left me tears, I'm sorry this is something we have in common. And seeing all these comments & how many other people's lives who's been devastated by this sad disease. Breaks my heart. Sending my love

I am sorry for your loss. Losing your mother ( in the general sense to anyone reading ) is huge... it leaves an endless void in your heart. I dont know what I would do without my mother tbh... She has recently taken ill and I am beside myself. My heart goes out to you Sarah and thank you for this beautiful tribute to your mother.. It is a beautiful tribute to your mom and all of the people who have battled, beaten and lost their battle to breast cancer. October 2018 also took the wonderful life of my husband. I’m sorry for your loss and hope you’ve been surviving the grief.

Sarah, thank you for sharing your story and so much about your mum (I use "mom" in the US, but with respect to your mum will change it). She sounded amazing and encouraging, which explains so well why you are too! You share and teach not only the things you have learned in art but also in life that are so inspiring and lift others up. I see how your mum lives on in you, and her goodness keeps on giving through you. I thank the Lord that she is at peace in heaven and must be so proud of you! As others have stated, this video is a beautiful tribute to her.
My mother had cancer (though not breast cancer), and thankfully, it was caught earlier, and they were able to remove all of it with no chemo. I know we are all blessed that she is still with us and remains cancer free.

Of course, I had it just before insurance paid to have both removed as a precaution, so I am still stuck with the one, but that is how life goes.
Sorry about your mom. My mom had every cancer from the bottom ribs down. She got to live at home for the last 11 months of her life.
Be careful and get screened regularly.

this is beautiful Sarah! i had cancer as a child, diagnosed the same year your mom was the first time in 2005. being stuck in the hospital gave me all the time in the world to work on art, in which i realized i knew i wanted to be an artist, and never stopped creating. this is a magnificent piece you have made for breast cancer awareness and a beautiful coloring book about cancer. i did not stop smiling throughout this entire video! it gives me such joy to see people trying to give awareness to powerful things like cancer. wonderful work, love!

I lost my mum in 2012 to ovarian cancer my babies were 3 at the time and they were her first and last grandbabies we all said she lived long enough to get to meet them and get to be a small part of their lives! Our stories are so similar even down to the bit where we moved in with her! Thank you for sharing and for the selflessness in helping others 💋💋

Beautiful and inspirational. Pink is also my favorite color, and my second favorite color is flowers. Yes flowers. I say because I’ve always been enthralled by flowers, the colors, the shapes, the beauty. Flowers that are one color, flowers with several colors. You took something painful and made it beautiful. I collect dolls but the one that means the most to me is the one she gave me that she designed herself that's all in purple. It was her (and my) favorite color. RIP sweet lady. My neice was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Breast Cancer 5 years ago when she was 25. She is now in remission. My Mum is 92 next week. She had a mastectomy on March 19th 1977. Two days earlier I told her she was going to be a Granma. She now has 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Thankyou for dedicating this to all of us who have been impacted by this disease.

My mom has been cancer free for 7 years now. It's crazy to think it was that long ago. She preserved and worked through her entire treatment: mastectomy, chemo, and radiation. She's the strongest woman I know. Your story gave me tears.
You are so amazing! My mother had cancer, breast cancer as well, but luckily, she got it taken care of early and shes still alive with us. I am lucky for that, and i bet your mom is so so so proud of you!

My mom has cancer too, in various places in her body that are getting harder and harder to try and control their progression. Thank you for this video and for sharing your story by shining a light on your mother's strength, joy and perseverance. It is so inspirational and it was a much needed reminder to focus on those good qualities when possible and avoid thinking too hard about the impacts of cancer on my mom's personality and person as a whole. I'm watching this with tears in my eyes. Thanks for your beautiful art and story. I've lost my mother in law 2 years ago. She has been struggling with cancer for about 25 years. In her colon, breast, lungs and bones. She was a real fighter. But in the end her body couldn't handle it anymore. 8 day's later my father in law also past away and 2 months later my own father died. My mother died 20 years ago...they're all gone now...
2 years ago i started painting and it helped me with grieving.
I enjoy all the tutorials on CZcams and learning a lot.

We lost my dad unexpectedly in January from a heart attack. Coloring helped my mom through her grief though the grief will never end. This is such a lovely tribute to your mum! I am so sorry for your loss!

I cried with your video. I lost my mom in 2021 due to pneumonia. I miss her so much. After she died, i could not color for two months. She was the one encouraging my art. Her favorite colors were pink and purple. I'm sorry for your loss, it's never easy when loved ones are gone.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I know it has been a while now, but I get you can still miss her terribly. I think she's proud of you! You work hard and you seem like a nice person! My boyfriend lost his mother when he was 15, a year before a I met him so I never got to meet her, which I find very sad cause neither will her granddaughter. Cancer is a terrible thing and instead of fighting wars, people should all come together and fight diseases. Your channel is a huge inspiration for me! Even though rarely comment.

My grandmother lost one of her breasts to cancer when I was very young, but she's been cancer free ever since. A friend of my mom's was recently diagnosed and she's now going through treatment, and it seems they caught it early enough that things are going well :)
Hearing you talk about your mom made me emotional. It's so taxing to lose a close family member, and even though you've had years to prepare, it'll still come as a shock. The artwork turned out beautiful.
