Dark Explained - Breaking Down Seasons 1 and 2 By Decade (In English)
/ netflixuk
The time-twisting madness reaches its conclusion in a strange new world, where some things are quite familiar - and others are disturbingly not. - Zábava
I am binge watching recaps for this show now
Trust me, these Recaps ain’t shit compared to the episodes
Same.
I tried rewatching seasons 1 and 2 before season 3 comes out. I only managed to re-watch season 1 and I'm to excited to watch season 3 so, I decided to just watch as many CZcams recaps I can find so that I can at least keep track on what's going on in season 3
@@kvmugwena2688 Season 3 episodes are detailed to the maximum, and the jumps are crazier. So you can watch it but you won't understand it 100%.
Same ;(
GOT : My sister is my lover
Dark : My daughter is my mother
Predestination: I am my mother
After watching this I have realised that no amount of recaps and explanations will do. We NEED to watch the entire two seasons again.
yes
Yes you need to watch it! Do watch. Amazing show
I've already watched 3 recaps and still can't remember shit

Who needs an explanation for this video as will
Me still can't understand a thing 🤣🤣🤣
this is the best well-rounded time travel plot ever written.
If you like Dark you should definitely check out the movie Primer. I’d say it’s even more complicated than Dark 😅
@@CheAkiwara you should watch Predestination too?
There’s are plots on time travel which are more grounded 🙂

One does not simply explain DARK
Stranger Things : I am the best series in netflix.
Dark : Hold my Mikkel
Stranger Things is nowhere close to being in even the Top 10 shows on Netflix
@@kaizz14 true tho
Dark : hold my god particle
Kashish Sareen that depends on the person watching it though. Many people don’t like Dark because it was too confusing. I guess it just depends on what a person likes.
who said stranger things is the best series in Netflix to begin with.
John Snow : My family tree is complicated.
.

Jonas Kanwald : Hold my jacket
Jonas will never say hold my jacket , he will say : i want to die...... I dont want to exist..... I want to trade my life for mikkel/martha.....
"Hold my lantern" 😂
*Ulrich Nielsen-Hold my stone!!
@@Slushyyy was this supposed to be funny?
@@mohidishtiaque9916 no
In season 1 the day after Mikkel went missing, Jonas was on his way to school. Hannah tells him he doesn't have to go. She later tells him they should do something together.
Later in the series, with the older Jonas staying in their house, he explains to Hannah about time travelling. She doesn't believe it, and asks to see for herself. This fulfills the foreshadowing of Hannah and Jonas doing something together.
In 1986 young Hannah tells Katharina and another friend that her father told her only sluts wear lipstick. In the episode "The Origin" we could see Hannah, using the name Katharina, wearing a bright red lipstick.
These are just a few of the incredible examples of how well-written this show is.
This show will end up being a classic.
I am jealous of my future self who has already seen this Webseries. 😂

So happy other ppl are as obsessed with this show as I am. Currently rewatching for the 4th time before new season
hey , can you share netflix with me , i want to watch the 3rd season only
yep, totally obsessed.
I'm I the only one enjoying the show so much without understanding a f of whats going on?
Shows like Dark are the reason why Netflix is the best streaming platform we have right now. This show is a masterpiece 👌👌
not just Netflix...imagine the minds of the writers who thought up the story. so many potential holes that actually get filled. amazing
I second that
@@sherilynl4038 - I have yet to finish Season 3, but at this point it's become very clear that they must have planned this whole madness before even beginning to shoot S1. It's astonishing, American series and Hollywood movies could learn from that.
@@MensHominis yep, all seasons completely storyboarded and plot holes tied up!! enjoy the rest of the season :-)
Yes, netflix is the best streaming service after HBOMAX.
Is it me, or did you forget to mention that Elizabeth Doppler is her own grandmother? Same with her mother.
What??
Yeah i thought the same. I didnt hear anything about noah being her father
she also said that Noah killed one of his friends that rebelled himself against Adam.
Noah actually killed his own father, Bartosz.

Netflix UK & Ireland:- Let's milk Dark
Netflix India :- We will release dark's season 3 trailer one day before the season 3
Netflix US :- What is dark ? Does it even exist ?
Netflix Germany : Nope
Netflix Germany barely even pays it attention. UK & Ireland is the only channel that actually posts about it on a regular basis

I’ve taken a couple of hours to make notes from this. The series is one of the best I have ever seen but so so complicated! Whoever wrote it has a brilliant mind. I wonder if the actors even understand it because after all this am so confused!
Dark is popular in UK and Ireland that's why they're making this. I hope this gets the recognition it deserves.
anyone else notice that they made a mistake too "Mikkel who recently traveled to 2019" its 1986 theres way too many years not to get confused
yep. and felt quite proud of myself. 😂
Yes! He arrived FROM 2019, not TO 2019.
4:36 where it says ‘Visibly Confused’...is the bit I understand
Netflix UK you guys are the best❤️
The most deep and profound show on Netflix 💥
I don't think watching it again and again make the confusions clear🤯😂
Any way waiting for season 3! Tick, tock💯❤
And bloody hell, I need an explanation for this as well. I have never met with such a series where I can't understand a thing, yet am thriller for the next episode. Dark is truly magnificent. ⭐🌟
CANNOT WAIT!! So glad there are others equally invested in this art of a show. Beautiful. Also i love how inter dimensional concepts were introduced, i mean everything i love in one show!
hello , would u please share netflix for just some days . i really want to watch s3 of dark , i have watched 1 and 2 before and now im kinda broke to pay netflix subcription
By far this has been the most informative and understandable recap I've seen, that or I finally watched enough recaps to understand the series to some degree xd
This recap was pretty thorough and organised (as organised as you can be recapping such a show) and I'm pretty good with moving on to the final season and getting those juicy answers.
Fortunately I remembered enough that a rewatch of past seasons isn't that necessary, but I'm definitely planning a rerun after finishing the show so I can watch the whole story without the long breaks that come with waiting for the next season.
As I try to understand Dark I feel just like Jonas trying to fix the future. No matter how many times I try, I always get back at zero, and yet I can't resist the hopeless urge to keep trying.
I’m still at a loss to WTF this show is about.
I’m getting a headache thinking about it.
WATCH IT. Put up with the confusion of the first few episodes and I promise you won't regret it
Emzy 1738 first few episodes? I’m on season 3 and I’m still confused about some things, every time I think I understand something, something else pops up that confuses me.
@@sincerelyjae
It's supposed to confuse and obfuscate. This show is brilliant in introducing twists that leave you going, wtf!
David Adams I guess but it gave me a headache the whole time tbh and in the end I felt like I literally was in that loop with them just to find out what they accomplished was so simple.
@@sincerelyjae No one will comprehend the whole series fully, it has been made that way..It wants you to get confused and ask questions. But the show has a satisfying ending not like Game of Thrones.
I just came here before starting the final season . So far the best explained . Can't wait . Let's revel it
WOW that was a LOT and very helpful! Thank you brilliant one ♡♡♡
Great vid thank you for doing this I needed a major refresher
Thanks for this
Much needed
🙏 thank you!! I really enjoyed first two seasons but couldn’t remember all the different threads and could face rewatching it all before third season.
I cant believe how similar all the different timeline people look like the younger actors
Exactly what i needed before starting season 3. Just finished re-watching 1 and 2 and so hard to keep up with everything!
printed out a family tree and keeping it by my side while i watch season 3 tonight!
Me too. Also printed a full list of characters from all time periods. Need to check it every now and then while watching the show.
this video is actually so good wow
i think its time to travel back in time and rewatch this show again
Thank you for this!!!
Life is truly fucking unfair when they only gave us 3 seasons of this spectacular mind bending series
funny how the Germans.. who NEVER make good series.. managed to create the best scifi series of the last many years. I am SO glad I could watch this without subtitles as German is my second (and almost first) language.
Makes me tired like a damn loop dream that repeats itself.
best time travel show. and I WATCHED ALL TIME TRAVEL SHOWS.
i only watched the first season and i came here to not understand but to just see whats going to happen in season 2 haha very good you saved my time cause 53 mins per each episode is alot tbh
I mad that I’m still confused. But I’m starting season 3 any way.
Im on the same boat.
🤣🤣 me too. I thought about going to the beginning of Season 1 but thought about how long that was and decided Season 4 here I come. And for those of you who think I skipped Season 3 and that there is no Season 4. You've been played. I time traveled and waiting for you guys to catch up 🤣. Oh yeah wait until you see Season 7. It's going to blow your god box away...
Thx, a lotttt better recap than the other one in german
Nice explanation
Netflix cant even do a recap. It should be in the order of the events happening in the show.
Aight! I'm ready for season 3
It’s actually beginning to make sense now I am
typing this up. It’s quite important to make a list of all the family connections too.
Yeah, me too. Jonas is Martha. 🤯
Probably the only show I would recommend to get spoilers first to understand better.
Damn, even after this recap I still don't remember the previous seasons very well. Guess I'll start watching season 3 in 20 hours when I finish re-watching the old seasons.
Dark is the best netflix shows. Also if you giys can suggest me a few more series like this, it would be great.

Glad i saw this, nuff of this 😂
Oh god I'm confused even after watching many recaps. While watching It's like I know something but again it feels like I dont know anything. Why do they need to put such complexity in characters which no other series or movie ever tried. It's a great achievement at the same time complex 😅
This show fucks with my brain
This is my 5th recap
It HAD to be 33 Years! What a shocker!
Actually the way this video has explained everything no one can understand (on the basis of timeline).
The only way u can explain this series is how the series actually made in the same manner.
This is the beauty of DARK!!
This the 18th video of dark recap I've came across so far.🤣🤣🤣
7:50 We don't know that Stranger Jonas is from 2052. He could have been at any time, any place after we last saw him in 2020, for those 33 years.
That's what I'm saying, the actor looks 40-ish.
Honestly I can't wait to see Dark season 3 😂
Question please - What exactly IS the Apocalypse and why is Adam held bent on its occurrence? What does he stand to gain from the Apocalypse?
Came here hoping to clear things up before watching season 3. I am as confused as ever. This is my third recap video.
WHY ARE PEOPLE SAYING IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE?! I feeling like a superior being rn🤦🏽♀️
It makes sense. It’s just a challenge to wrap your head around all the interconnected intricacies.
It makes sense. But we can't ever hold the complete idea in our heads. It's like trying to read two lines of text simultaneously, it's beyond human brain ability.
I guess it’s better to feel emotionally connected to each character. Enough to really pay attention and want to learn about each individually. When it’s all put together, it’s clear as day. Pretty awesome.
Now this makes sense to me..😬
Wait, what was the first bit again?
I’m gonna have to rewatch both series to get caught up I think
Honestly...this makes things more complicated
need to re-watch the first two.. may be that's what Netflix need..
I just finished season 3 , watched 3-4 videos explaining the time lines and motives and ...I’m still confused xD I need to watch this again
What part confuses you? Maybe I can help explain it 😀
Can we have a recap video explaining this recap video?
Hannah is the only one who has a time machine but doesn't want to go back and change anything she did in the past
I am so close to printing every ones names and pictures and putting it up on my dam wall. I just started the 4rth time. I watch every year in hope i follow.
Thank You FOr this !!!
"from this scene we are once again reminded that it is not possible to change the future in Dark because the characters are writing it." WTF does that even mean.
Just finished watching S2 and I still can't make my mind up about this show. My knee-jerk reaction (especially after following Lost for 6 years) is "I can't be bothered to invest in this as it demonstrates very clearly why time travel, and the paradoxes it creates, doesn't exist in real life. So it's an exercise in futility". But I've heard it sticks the landing (unlike Lost) so want to give it the benefit of the doubt. I will scream however, if the solution they come to is just to stop time travelling! :D
Very similar to Lost. The ending was great.
We need a video explaining this video
Less than 2 more hours for me :)!
What does the third cycle mean? (I’ve seen season 3). Does that just refer to the events of season 3?
It isn't a Dark recap video if you don't find yourself repeating a certain section 3 times before playing. It took me 30 min to get through a 16 min recap.
Dark is one of those show that makes you angry that you were not there from the very beginning. It just finished its last season this June but I wish I was there for the start in 2017. Thank goodness for streaming.
I got one episode left in season one. When you break it down Dark is very much a day time soap opera with Sci fi element of time travel. You got affairs, blackmail, the small town with the one rich family that runs things, secrets and lie; essential Young and Restless. Those storyline are only enhanced by the time travel element. It's a lot like Netflix House on Haunted Hill which is 7th Heaven with a supernaturally element.
I'm anti binging but you got to binge Dark because it's hard to keep track with 4 families and right now 3 interacting timeliness. #Netflix #netflixdark
Even the recap is confusing as hell ! 😂😭😵💫
Dark is the most underrated season by Netflix.

i disagree, because this show is full of bootstrap paradox. the moral of this show is "dont do incest or you will fuck up the hole univers"... wow... what a message
