- Filmed on October 16, 2023 - Sadly, all the elevators in this mall are getting a refurbishment, they now got new black cabs, new ceiling with new lights and new fixtures on COP. Call stations, motor and controllers are still retained which is a good thing. But I'm kinda not pleased with the new refurbishment.

I think that's the fate with all the older Otis elevators here. Few years ago a mall in Hyderabad (where I live) went ahead with a huge renovation and modernised all the elevators save one in the mall, and to be honest they ran a little scarily but after the mod they were running fine. (Currently the mall is closed and gutted out except for PVR and the lifts still function as they do but don't know for how long)
Wow Damn! I did experience that with the former City Centre Mall in Vashi which used to function a lot and then went into failed renovation which did not affect Cinemax theatre there. It used to have Schindler MRLs (same as Little World Mall). When the renovation started, I saw the ones serving the parking got tastefully modded by ThyssenKrupp leaving original doors and call stations and everything. Despite the original cab, it got a new COP. However, the glass elevator which served from G to 5 (unlike parking ones), since then did not work. Unfortunately, as of 2023, that mall has been permanently demolished and is being redeveloped into a premium residential building
Right. The mall in question here is Hyderabad Central (RIP), and at some point they installed a Schindler MRL (E Series I believe) that’s serving as an express elevator from parking and ground to the movie theatre. I remember being fascinated by that as a child. I also have a vague memory that it was the replacement for a large OTIS gated service elevator. I also remember getting stuck in one of the main elevators, that was scary.

Same is happening with Infinity mall Malad....they currently have 18-20 Schindler D series elevator with PRE-LEVELING and even after 14 years they work flawlessly....but now they are replacing all the elevator with Schindler 3300 which has black COP....Till now they have only replaced 2 of them but I must say that its definitely a downgrade looking at the Leveling of the new elevators. I hope that they do not modernize OTIS 200 VF elevator in Inorbit mall Malad as they are also nearing 20 years.
Oh gosh! Infinity Mall is getting modded?! I hope Inorbit Malad is not the next victim!

Hey i wanted to tell you about the lift which is most rare actually that lift is 2in1 the outer door of the lift has manual opening as it wooden door but the inner door of the lift has automatic opening as it is shiny metal but just when the lift arrives on that floor we just only have to open outer door and inner door gets automatically open i seen this rare lift in an hotel in aurangabad
That type of door configuration is common in Europe from what I heard

Have you seen Asian OTIS Gen3?
Not in-person yet, but online I saw videos of OTIS Gen3 in China, mostly in the Bilibili video site.
@@NeilPrasad_1905 If they have the Asian OTIS Gen3 in China why don't they have it in India?
I believe they already introduced it in India back in December 2022, it's just, I can't find any confirmed install/modernization yet. All I know is, they'll look similar to the ones in China despite OTIS having a factory here @@cubba02

@@cubba02 I hope so too, I just found out that there are 5 Gen3 models for the Indian market. Those being Gen3 Nova, Gen3 Prime, Gen3 Core, Gen3 Lite, and Gen3 Stream. I don't know if that's true tho, but we'll have to wait and see.
