Even if Japan won the Midway conflict, it would only have been a matter of time before the US got the better of them. The fact that US won the Midway Conflict saved thousands of lives across the Pacific. As a person who lives in the South Pacific, I'll always be grateful for the US's contribution in WW2.
@norseleague The Dutch can do it. They have have salvaged many large vessels before. This one is very expensive to lift up though since its so large and deep! But it's certainly possible. But i would say let them stay there as a reminder what happens when people go to war. Death and misery.
@ilovegod300 If you ever come to Chicago, let me know. I'll buy you a cold one and toast American arms and our veterans that launch them for our protection.
My dad was a rescue helicopter airman during VN. He would NEVER talk about the war. Even when asked.
Thanks. 日米の両方の戦闘を、取り上げています。良い事だと、思います。

Great video. I want some of the paint they used on the Yorktown. Almost 70 years on the Ocean bottom, and it's still holding up!
Nice footage of the 1.1-inch AA quads at 1:51 and 1:58, the 20mm guns at 2:11, and 5-inch guns at 2:22.
Unbelievable footage.
The things that the man had to see i can not even imagine it.
If there should ever be awarded the Congressional Metal of Honor to a ship, It should be the USS YORKTOWN.
I bet the guy talking at 2:38 was cursing under his breath when he saw that torpedo coming straight for him.
the yorktown was a fighter refusing death 3 times and still trying to survive when getting hit by a torpedo from a sub
@hill9868
thank for your candour
@ilovegod300 Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!! They didn't name a nuclear powered aircraft carrier after Admiral Nimitz for nothing.
Dick Best's comments were fascinating.
brave men died on both side,
