I love that Eric also has the “this card might suck but I’m 100% playing it” mentality.
    There are many of us!😂

Justin teasing Eric for months before letting them play lol.

Here’s a video idea: pretend the game was a CCG. Which cards would be the chase rares, the junk rares, the uncommons that go for a lot of money because of the meta, and the bulk commons. Could be fun!

The reason Forced Learning makes your best cards harder to find is a combination of it making your mulligans worse and making your other draw and partial tutors (like Eureka! and Practice Makes Perfect) worse. If you ignore draw effects and mulliganing then it does allow you to burn through your deck 30% faster, which isn't insignificant. But the mulliganing system is very forgiving and Seekers have access to amazing draw, so Forced Learning would have to be pushed more to see a place in a typical deck. I think it still has a place though. It could be good in toolbox and flex decks that are looking for situational cards, it could also be good for anyone who wants a reliable discard outlet like Wendy and Pete have but don't have it. I think it's good they didn't push it, as it would be pretty lame if most Seeker decks just built 48 card piles the same way it would be lame if every rogue took Underworld Support.

Can't wait for the video where Eric starts playing the game and telling us their thoughts on their built deck.

The episodes of our Dunwich campaign have started hitting the channel and at the end, Eric and I will be recording a video with a retrospective on their deck!

Excellent video! I love seeing Eric's comments on cards because they are an MtG who plays black jank decks. Arkham has so many options for jank that it is good to see someone who both likes jank and knows the theories behind such decks discuss card games. I hope you get to post videos with them in it more.

Some of those cards walked a fine line between explaining complicated as heck card effects vs. not giving away the ranking too much.
I could see revisiting cards in Eric's first deck. Or card that neither they nor Justin played, once they get a stronger sense of reasonable costs. Then again, playing as Stella can give a very lopsided sense of how good encounter deck protection is, for example.

Great to see Eric is thinking of synergies between cards and investigators before they've even played!

A lot of hate for Ceremonial Sickle and in general, I agree with the reasons, but let's step back a bit... This is a level 0 mystic card that lets you consistently fight. You don't have to use the top ability. And it saves you an arcane slot for other things. Even if that other thing is another fight card, you can save the charges for the spell and use the sickle on weaker enemies.

Wouldn't "Forced Learning" be good for Lola Hayes? She'll have more cards to play with this way, right?

I played forced learning in amanda Sharpe and it was off chops. It's obviously a situational card, not good In every deck but boy was it lovely drawing extra skill cards for options to chuck under her.
