its hard to see these beautiful aircraft and the pilots that never learned how to fly them!
Nothing cooler than seeing a nice smooth landing by the skilled pilots. The other landings on the other hand....Funny as hell. I've only been flying since Dec. 14 and know the ability to fly something like this is a loooooooooong ways off.

What is scary of the plane taking off at 0:50 is NOT the close call with the second plane on the runaway, but rather the very poor skills of the pilot, going completely out of alignment with the runaway, he makes it just for a moment not to go on the grass... plus the pilot hasn't waited for his turn because the runaway wasn't clear of other planes. Someone should go and take the radio off his hands as soon as possible!

They were conscious of the nearby school and hospital. Didn't want any innocent casualties.

How much "throttle lag" do the miniature jet engines have? I see a few of the big bounce videos and I wonder if there is enough time to go to full power and "go around" or are most of these jet powered RC aircraft committed to landing because the engines won't "spool up" fast enough?
Da sind schon ein paar interessante Starts und Landungen bei. Hoffe die Modell haben nicht all zu großen Schaden genommen.
That F15 one: He came in to cocked at angle. He centered all the weight on one landing gear. I'm not sure if it was input error or wind that caused it though. Maybe a mixture of both. Like he compensated too much for a slight gust.

Perhaps, they should get more simulator time. The guy at 8:03 tried to land at like 55mph.
if i built a jet i would carbon fiber the entire tail into the fuse as well as carbon fiber the wings and put a carbon fiber spar in them as well. Once you use carbon fire and you see how easy it is there just isn't any reason not too. It's not even that expensive really and it's so insanely strong, virtually unbreakable.
The problem is that radio waves don't penetrate carbon fiber, especially the 2.4GHz band everyone uses now.
what camera did you use?
nwjt I use either a Sony NXCAM with 20x Optical Zoom or a Canon Legria HFG10 with 10x Optical Zoom

You kept repeating the landings ,if we wanted repeated we can do that with the flash player back button sheeesh!
Too bad the pilot of the Blue Angels Hornet decided to land his plane in the grass. If a hard runway is available it is preferable to put the aircraft on the ground there if the wheels fail to come down; it may scrape the underside, but there is less chance of the plane digging in and flipping over, as it did here. On the runway the damage would have been likely to be far less.
