- The VK 3002 (M) is the Panther of ALL TIME! For what is essentially a Panther D on a diet, the VK 30.03 M is a lightweight Panther that trades survivability for speed!
The VK3002 can reach a top speed of 55kph in a straight line which puts it on par with some light tanks at this battle rating and even higher! Being tracked, it can also traverse difficult terrain with ease all while keeping its barrel pretty stable.
The Panther of all time still keeps the firepower of the Panther D giving it 192mm of penetration which can easily cleave through any tank it'll face. Basically, this thing is a complete monster!

When in binoculars, the look around button (which is C by default) makes it as fast as how it was.
As we can see, definitely one of the Panthers of all time
If you hold C (or mb for me) while using binos, the rotation speed triples.

This tank should have been foldered with the Panther D to be honest, at 5.0 it can get downtiered to 4.0-4.7 which just makes it a free game…

@@obj.071 I play the centurion mk 1 and black prince at 6.0 and I keep getting downtiered to 5.3-5.7 more times than uptier to 6.3-6.7, and the VK is more than capable at handling uptiers with that panther gun compared to something like the jumbo which sits at .3 BR higher so that argument just crumbles”…”

I don’t think very many people noticed this but gaijin removed some of the aphe rounds from US shermans and put them as a researchable modification this update. It just gave them default ap, and was a pain to grind with. The only vehicles I noticed that this happened to was the M4A2 76, M4A3 76, and Jumbo 76.

Noticed the slowed binos myself and it's incredibly annoying. Im used to my fast and responsive binoculars but now It feels like trying to hand crank a cargo ship. Swear you can't have anything nice in war thunder

I played it a bit. Reminded me of the old Panzer III J or something with the god awful slow turret. I remember having to learn how to use the driving and drifting to aim than the turret. I think I'll have to do the same for this one. It's got speed but in most maps, where it's urban or inter city brawling, the slow turret and no armor will get you killed. As such, I am not sure if its BR should be increased.
idk about everyone else but I am also a fellow high-dpi gamer. Always have been since my family's pc desk as a kid was rather crowded. Been using 3.5k or so for at least a decade, recently dropped to around 2k.

Hellcat quite literally got buffed this update.
Top speed increase both forwards and reverse (80 km/h forwards from 72 km/h and 25.9 km/h in reverse compared to the previous 23 km/h).
At the same time they added one more forwards gear, from 5 to 6, so not only is the acceleration overall more balanced, but now it does over 50 km/h offroad in the test drive map compared to the 40-ish km/h it was doing previously.

Just today unlocked that thing. These might've been some of the easies matches in a while. Even seal clubbing when trying to grind the us tech tree with the lvt didn't compare. Idk who'd pick the tiger, which is 5.7, over this. I've been front penned more in the H1 than the vk. It's actually insane.
@OddBawZ I saw the tree you couldn't push down and I think it might be one of the trees on that map that can't be destroyed. There's a lot of those on abandoned town -_-
They nerfed the m18 speed hard a few updates ago. I remember it being a lot faster.
They also buffed the transmission this update (well, more like they corrected the amount of gears it has, it has 6 gears now instead of the 5 it used to have). It now does over 50 km/h offroad when previously it could only do up to 40 km/h in the test drive map, and the acceleration overall is more balanced, while also having a higher top speed both forwards and in reverse.
It has been buffed to 80 km/h top speed again.

It's top speed is impressive, but it would accelerate better if I got out and pushed. Just don't try turning, and forget reversing.
It's armour is crazy OP, bounces almost everything because it's hull is angled and that's the only thing that actually matters.
Feels like a super heavy sniper that can barely reposition itself before the game ends. People say this is agile for German tanks, so now I've tried it I'm quitting the tree now and going back to ussr.

The trees on the 3rd match you played, They dont go down at all even if you try to shoot them many times with a med or Heavy tank ( like a Tiger ll or IS 2) those trees are as stone and never get lumbered. i think the Devs forgot or didn't have the time to with work them in a rush or maybe they miss some parts of the map

The only solution I found is to press the look around key and it goes back to normal

Leo 1 should be 7.7, their M48 should be 7.3, easily. Israel (or was it ROC) has same vehicle AT 7.3. Jagdtiger is a broken beast at 6.7 that no 5.7 can kill from front, even other 6.7 strugle against it. It never should have been lower than 7.0, other nations super heavy TD's are 7.0 expet for USSR's one that is 6.7 aswel, i dont get why they are exception when they might not be as armored as Doom Turtle and Tortoise, but Obj.whatevers and Jagdtifers firepower is comparable and they are more mobile.
@@theone2630 Facing this thing in a Churchil VII that is 4.7 that has 91mm of penetration with its standard round cant do anything against this thing while this thing can kill the Churchill from 1.5km without even aiming. More of these " GeRManY sUFfErS" vehicles
I mean honestly it just seems like another fun easy thing to kill for my 4.0 Sherman so I don’t really have a problem for it considering the drop in armor and I guess slight good mobility increase
Im sure this thing will go up to 5.3 next patch but I funny enough haven't had much issues with it. The average player isnt a godtuber and they tend to fall prey to the speed fallacy of moving too deep too fast and getting killed by lack of awareness and reaction time. Especially with that slow turret traverse. Also if you have 12.7 - 20mm guns on your cas its a free kill c:
love the 4.0 Degrees of turret rotation the Horizontal traverse mod you unlock of +18% only amounts to 0.72 degrees more LUL.
