- South Africa has asked the International Court of Justice to order an immediate halt to Israel's incursion in Rafah.
It says as well as direct military attacks, Israel is ‘starving’ Palestinians in Gaza by obstructing access to food and medicines.
Israel has insisted it is acting in accordance with international law, dismissing the claims as “baseless blood libel”.
The country launched a military campaign on Gaza to destroy Hamas in response to the group's cross-border attack on southern Israel on 7 October, during which about 1,200 people were killed and 252 others were taken hostage.
More than 35,230 people have been killed in Gaza since then, according to the territory's Hamas-run health ministry.

Unfortunately he is correct. This does happen. You remember a couple of months ago, the incident at the aid convoy, why do you think Israeli troops were protecting an aid convoy (spoiler: to stop Hamas appropriating the aid).
There is a horrendous video of a massive (and I mean massive) pile of food going to waste, that Hamas had stockpiled for themselves but not used so it had gone off and been dumped.
And please don't think I mention this for you to "hate Hamas" or "switch sides". You just shouldn't believe this crazy narrative we are being peddled that Hamas is some benign friendly organisation.
