Thank you for posting this! Having the same issue. Mechanic charged over $1000 last year and told me there was a clogged screen. This must be it! Doing it ourselves this time!
I appreciate this video. I have this exact motor and having the same issue. This is the only video I have found with a possible fix. Going to tackle mine tomorrow.
Finally!! Someone posted this video that simply exists nowhere else on CZcams. Mine’s not a command thrust but a 2019, 115 4 stroke ELPT. Doing the exact same thing. I hope I’m handy enough to figure out how to get that screen out without damaging anything. I do wish you’d captured the whole process, but I cannot thank you enough for at least posting a video that covers this (have looked for days and haven’t seen another video at all). Thank you very much, friend, and I am happy you resolved your issue. Fingers crossed on mine
Good luck! It’s not too difficult. This was my first repair video so I appreciate your recommendation. I’ll definitely get a stand for my phone on the next video.
And please know I meant no disrespect whatsoever about you not capturing all the video. You have no idea how appreciative I am that anyone at all posted what you did. There is nothing on this subject anywhere on CZcams. You’re like a hero brother lol. I actually feel like I’m gonna be able to fix this thing. It just went out of warranty. Go figure that’s just my luck. Lol.
Sorry to keep pestering you but I did actually think of a question to ask you. When you pulled the fuel supply module out and took it apart, you then discovered the screen on the low pressure side was dirty. Was removing that screen difficult? Can it be cleaned an then put back in? Or did you simply replace that part? Thanks for the clarification. I'm sortof a handy guy, but I've also been known to attempt things myself and mess up lol. I thought it's better to ask someone who did the repair, then to go in blind and possibly damage that screen trying to get it out to clean it. Thanks for letting my know if you get a chance. @@justinwiles4936
I was about to message you back about that. That is a sealed pump. I didn’t try and take it apart. I just used carburetor cleaner to clean up the screen
Justin! I'm about to take the plunge on this repair/service you have performed and was wondering if you downloaded a service repair manual as a precaution or you just went for it...video is great and really makes me see I'm not insane and describes exactly what I am going through. Great job man!
I watched a lot of videos and read some forums online before this repair. There wasn’t very much info out there and definitely nothing specific in regards to the problem I was having, so I made this video in hopes it would help someone else. Once I figured out this fuel module existed, I googled the fuel modules part diagram, so I had a pretty good idea of how it worked before I made this video. FYI, once I got the low pressure fuel pump out, I cleaned the screen out with carburetor cleaner. I realize now that I didn’t explain that very well in the video. Good luck!
Sorry for the late response. I’m just now seeing this. No I didn’t prime it. I’m pretty sure I remember the engine trying to turn over a few times then it started right up

Were you able to remedy your issue?
I just bought a boat with this same motor. Thank you for the video and please post any other issues! Sub and 👍
I’m having the exact same issue. Thanks for showing
Did it work?
@@justinwiles4936 don’t know yet. Not taken it apart yet. I will follow up when do.

Did you have to prime the fuel pump once back in
Sorry for the late response. I’m just now seeing this. No I didn’t prime it. I’m pretty sure I remember the engine trying to turn over a few times then it started right up
How did you clean it ?
Carburetor cleaner. Just sprayed the screen until it was clean.
