I think Lindsey was on her best behaviour when she started dating Carl, then slowly she started behaving exactly the same way she did with all her other exes, starting fights when she’s drunk…

Well that's it...whe Lindsay and Carl got together and was actually seriously dating, Lindsay was sober too and they were great! It's only when she started drinking again was when the issues came up. When she drinks she is Super Condescending and if there wasn't this break up and they pushed thru with the marriage the difference now would be they are in debt from the weddings...cuz they wouldn't have lasted 6 months if that... imo!

I agree with you! Lindsay is such a manipulator! I hate to see how she manipulates each of her subsequent boyfriend so that he does everything the way it suits her. It gets to the point where all her boyfriends start to be afraid of her. They are afraid to say an extra word to her, so that she will not be offended. She loves to make herself look like a victim and constantly find fault with her boyfriends. Lindsay perceives and treats her boyfriends, in this case, the fiance, not as the most wonderful person in the world, whom she wants to put on a pedestal, but as a thing that she bought and this thing should work 100% for her. Lindsay squeezes all the juices out of her boyfriends until they start running away from her. This is not love. Love is when you love your fiance the way he is, and you don't constantly try to find fault with him. Apparently Lindsay won't understand this.

I feel bad for Lindsay. It was the right thing for the wedding to be called off but I do also think that Lindsay has been acting out because she sensed that Carl had changed / shifted heading into this summer but couldn't figure out what exactly was going on. She probably sensed subconsciously that he was pulling away and went into fight-or-flight mode. I do believe Lindsay that there's a side to Carl we don't see. Playing the "calm" role can be a very manipulative tool in relationships, especially when you know that your partner is reactive.

I agree i think there is a side we don't see to him as well. Lindsey just shows everything externally instead of holding in it

Carl and Lindsay confused love as friends for romantic love. Clearly they have different approaches to life and relationships but I think the friendship clouded that judgement.

@SharonCameron-ik7td @SharonCameron-ik7td I can't remember the season # but it was the covid one when they were in the house all summer Lindsay's then bf would be working from home a lot as most of them were and so he went back to their room to work and she went to him and ripped on him for not being available and that he's always working and that he never stops to do things for her or ask if she needs anything like make her a sandwich (cause she had made him one while he was working) she yelled at him a lot bout him not making her a sandwich loool so Kyle is saying she should b with a deli shop owner to avoid that issue lool

Kyle, Danielle, and the rest got they wanted: they wanted Carl to dump Lindsay from the start. Sadly, the witch hunt worked. I dont know why Lindsay gives anyone in the cast her time.

I see your point, but the rest of the cast's opinions aside, I genuinely don't think Carl and Lindsay we're on the same page and were meant to be. I think they wanted it to so badly but the reality is they are two very different people on different paths. I feel for them both and can see both sides.

I've never really grown to like Lindsay over the years, but watching her this season is heartbreaking. She's definitely toned down her bad girl personality for Carl, and I don't think she was getting anything in return.

I know it sounds mean to say but things worked out how they should’ve. I’ve never had an addiction but I have people in my life who were addicts in their past and those people I love wholeheartedly, regardless of their past and I could never accuse them of breaking their sobriety when they’ve shown continuously how much they’ve thought to keep up with living a clean and sober life. Lindsay took no accountability for her actions and the low things she said to her partner at the time and I saw Carl continue to try and make things work despite the odds stacked against him because let’s be honest he was fighting a losing battle with Lindsay who was drinking quite heavily and having this crazy distorted view on reality, which was actually quite scary and I personally couldn’t have someone like that in my life. I’m not saying I don’t think she didn’t love Carl or care for him but I don’t think she was IN love with him just liked the idea of having a long term friendship turn into a relationship because you don’t treat someone that you are in love with like that. To her, Carl fit perfectly into what she thought people would love and buy into, someone who married her long term friend but there wasn’t anything that was ‘fairytale’ about their relationship not from her side anyways. I very much believe that Carl was in love with Lindsay and it’s a shame for him because I very much believe he wanted things to work but in the end probably realised that the relationship just wasn’t working anymore and effort to make it work is a two way effort and probably felt like he was the one compromising all the time and being the only one trying to make it work.

That is true, Lindsey is too strong and too masculine for Carl. She just does need a hug like Ariana.

It does make me sad for Lindsey. Lindsey is the female version of Austin Kroll from Southern Charm. Austin’s behavior is “boys will be boys” tolerated; where Lindsey is treated like a scandalous Ho! At least Lindsey was faithful when she was in a relationship! Lindsey and Carl worked when Lindsey wasn’t drinking. No matter what Carl says, he is bothered by Lindsey’s drinking! This is merely my opinion but, Carl gets too much grace. I know he has been through a lot and come far in his quest for sobriety however, you are not sober if you are still taking any mind altering drugs! Carl is “California Sober.” It is a major improvement from where he was but, he still has work to do! As far as Kyle is concerned, he was absolutely brutally viscious to Lindsey! Screaming throughout the house what he thought of her! Lindsey was blamed by the whole house for all of Carl’s short comings from his bad work ethic to his clothing choices! You name it… it was Lindsey’s influence on poor little baby bird Carl! Lindsey drives me nuts overall, but I do feel bad for her as we see the cast continually throw Lindsey under the bus! Kyle being the person first in line to make the toss! Lindsey wants so badly to find her match and live her dream! I can’t help but to hope and cheer for her, simply because the whole house has been, and currently is, against her.
