High Stakes engine would be much more prefferable for this game.

damn i played this game when i was 12 in 2002 still remember every bit of it.
I appreciate this video popping up on my recommendations. I always love hearing other people's opinions on racing games. I only rented the ps1 version as a kid for a few days. I also remember the pc version having a dollar store version that came with a die cast porsche. It was just a demo. But was awesome. For some reason I never played the full version. But im gonna change that soon.

So many memories on my PS as a kid. One of the best soundtracks for a racing game too in my opinion. Even though it was only Porsche, I remember there being an awesome car variety in the game

Lol this PS1 version... I remember one car that absolutely had the worst handling out of all the cars in the game, and it's right there at 8:49, the blue car, a 968 Turbo S. The Ai understeering and crashing out there is due to the very slow steering response.
It was so bad that I had to sell that car, after experiencing the pain of how bad that car was, and buy a 968 CS (least powerful 968 but lightweight) and win that particular race in Japan.
The rest of the game was pretty good however, apart from the insane game speed like you mentioned. 😂

What widescreen patch did you use for the PC version of Porsche Unleashed because my one looks really stretched out.
Used Verokster's Fix, running in DirectX 7 mode. Unfortunately, it's paywalled via their patreon page. sucks.
@@SassyPaddy I see, well it was free before and I managed to find it on the Wayback Machine website and downloaded it but the screen is stretched out to all shit and I'm using the nGlide mode.
I recommend using DirectX mode and changing the resolution ingame.. Works for me at least.

Some day create an porsche mod for V-Rally 2 Expert Edition pc using his engine but has less cars and at least could be an similar to Playstation version
or create an Soundtrack Mod That gives you the ambiences of the 3 eras and race music fitting in there (or using Reshade for make filters between eras)
Well in 90s 2000s the PC version has better graphics but different UI and HUDs
