All good features from TDU and TDU2 just like everyone wished for. I just want to added that they should fixes their game physics. Especially for their handling issues, addition of new cars such as polestar 1, modern classic just like test drive 4 -6, muscle cars and good ol' JDM. I am not expecting TDU:SC spending on their visual customization. However, performance customization should be more precisely detailed
The original test drive unlimited was probably one of the best racing games in that era🔥🙌🏻

What is almost confirmed so far for TDU SC...
- Physics based around WRC
- Most likely set on a 1:1 scale of South America and maybe Southern France
- 90+ or so cars at launch (Supercars, classics, moderns, electric cars, sports cars, etc...)
- Confirmed companies....
Lamborghini, Bugatti, Ferrari, Koenigsegg, Apollo, Dodge, Porsche, and mostly likely other car companies from previous TDU games
- Multiplayer will be a big thing
- Rated 18+ (Mostly likely because of the casino, hopefully this rating will let the game developers become more free in the development of the game)
could still end up rated T
- Aimed to release earliest by late (Dec) 2020 or 2021-2022, Xbox Series X & PS5, Google Stadia, Steam and Epic Games, maybe also Xbox One & PS4, there will be more information later in the year and next year
- Map might be around the size of The Crew
(It's going to be a big map in general)
- Also including new game modes and more houses than TDU 1 & 2 combined
- Old features are returning (Indicators, windows, roofs, etc...)
- Since developers have done a lot of work with WRC (Car and environment sounds will be fantastic and TDU SC could even include weather effects)
- Also partially going to be centered around social status, especially for the Solar Crown

Source for any of these claims? The game is 100% not coming out this year. I also hope it doesn’t see a 2021 release. I have high hopes for this game, anything before 2022 will be a let down of a game

That graphical leap/jump in Test Drive Unlimited from its previous test drives was awesome, and whole concept of having entire island as a map was like WOW back then.
Having myself to drive hours to get to the car dealership, selling house for better ones and buy new houses for garrage space.
I really like how it resemble lifestyle rather than just racing
I can't lie, TDU was one of the only games that made me feel like I was actually buying a car and earned it. Every other racing game just feels like you unlock it if that makes any sense

the one in 97 is probrably running on a limited console, like a ps1 for example where as the 98 one is running on pc. high resolution, 60 fps, high draw distance

Nah, Dirt its a had a different theme and NFS had they unique style. Actually, the Test Drive PS1 titles get influenced by NFS elements.
@lifesshorthavefun1832 Hell "yes", write Test Drive influenced Dirt its a dumb decision, Dirt its focused in rally, Test Drive in street racing. NFS had his own style and makes a lot of things better than Test Drive on the 90s.

"Test Drive 5" on the PlayStation 1 was where I started. Such a fun game with great music. Very nostalgic for me and the family.
Yeah same, but I remember playing this game on my first ever laptop. All of these years I was struggling to find out this game's name cuz I didn't remembered that name when I was a kid. But now... Now it brings back such a good old days, and seeing next up games evolving, better graphics and more. Most nostalgic thing I've ever seen and felt in my life :')

I remember when my dad got Test Drive 2 on the Amiga 500 when it first came out in 1989. I was so impressed by the music and graphics. I got a C64 for Christmas that year too.

It is basically like Forza in that Test Drive was just racing on tracks like Forza Motorsport while Test Drive Unlimited was open world like Forza Horizon.

NICE! I loved TD5 on the PS1. It was like going on a road trip. The game you put in the "1999 TEST DRIVE OFF ROAD 3" is actually V-Rally 2.
It is truly the oldest racing gaming franchise around that is often overlooked and forgotten about, older than any other!!!

I feel like those photorealistic interiors mixing with 3D realistic environment would be lit.
I played test drive 5 with a wheel and loved it. My favourite part was the masters cup, 10 random cars over 10 tracks. There was a skill in picking the right cars for the right tracks. I recently tried to get it working but despite it working in theory I couldn't get it to work.

My first racing game was the first test drive. This was actually back in early/mid 90s on my cousin's computer. I just remember having a hard time not crashing. My first ever video game was pacman (I was around 4). I remember eating the big dot that made the ghosts vulnerable and thought I broke the computer and ate something essential. I turned off the monitor and got up hoping no one noticed that I "broke" the computer. I was so scared of being in trouble HA.

Test Drive 6 and (Brotherhood of Racing...or whatever it's called in Europe - it's just called "Test Drive" here in the states) were two games that I played to death as a kid. Still love those games. I want to pick up both games again and give em a shot. It's only been 20 or so years lol.
If it comes out, it will be an opponent to the forza, which means that the forza has to do more, there is no need to count NFS in the next game, you already know.

What Test drive does right is the camera placement. As the only racing game in the world you can actually see the road ahead of you, because the camera is higher up than normal... Good job Test Drive!!

Had the original on C64 and to be honest, it was an awful game that took forever to load, but I always loved the side view of the cards and the "Accolade presents" at the title screen. You just didn't get stuff like that on a console.

My dad has an 06 GMC Sierra 2500HD with the 8.1 and the Allison 6 speed. No matter if he's cruising down the road normally or has his 25' aquasport boat on a dual axle trailer behind him, it gets 9.2mpg, and drives exactly the same loaded down or not😂

Why haven’t we gotten a collection of this series I grew up with it and it was really fun. I know we are getting solar crown soon but it would be cool to get a reboot or maybe a remaster of the first 2 with a bigger selction of cars and trucks with nos and a storyline behind it instead of just checkpoints and out running cops on mountain roads.
