This 'how to video' is for the plantain lovers just like myself, who like to eat FRESH FRIED PLANTAIN at all times without any worry that their ripe (yellow) and good-looking plantain would turn brown/black on the outside (plantain peel) and become soft or mushy on the inside anytime soon.

Since from the university I always would freeze my plantains like that to save cost and time, even now as a mom.But I learned a new thing today to place on a parchment and freeze before packing in a bowl, to prevent it from sticking. That was the main issue I had. Thanks for the video.

Thank you for your very informative video! I'm Cuban-American, and we eat plantains in a few different ways. Usually, there's white rice and black beans on the plate with them, along with meat of some kind. They're really the perfect side dish :)

Not from my experience. It pretty much comes out the same as when done frying. But if the plantain is over ripe it would be softer. I usually just heat it in the toaster oven on a sheet of foil or in the frying pan on low heat, no additional oil. I just made another batch and usually use it with my egg or ham sandwich for breakfast, or as a side with anything else I'm eating.

Wash the tomatoes, wipe them dry with paper towels, cut them into pieces then spread them thinly on a tray and flash freeze. After frozen, put into freezer bags and keep them into the freezer. Whenever you're cooking and need tomatoes, you've them!
I usually buy them when they're plentiful and cheap and do the same. I do this with many other vegetables as well!

I watched some of your videos and they are interesting. I'm used to freeze plantains but not like you do. After cutting them I immediately put them together in a bag. This mean I need to unfreeze before frying: They are not beautiful, they take to much oil and I don't really like. I will try ur method to see.
