Cmon, folks that's $33,600.00 a year for Jacob to stay in touch with his 17yr old girlfriend, that lives 2 blocks away. It really gets expensive when he turns 11yrs old.... and needs a razor also. LOL...
Right around that time Jacob, was experiencing violations to his person other then taking the on one and talking about the bill they needed to sit n talk n find out what was so private and personal he was testing his friend about so often was he willing to talk about it. That’s what we had to do to find out a simulator problem with our child . He was “molested” and “groomed” by executive field producer Christopher Cardamone a senior producer on the TLC program for 134 episodes between 2007-2010. Jacob was between the ages of 10 to 13 years old when Chris worked on the show
@@Yeaaaahman yo bro that's what I said also she was texting other dudes. Six-foot-eight black dudes LOL 😂 and had fake names put in making it look like it was Jake's phone
I agree to a point but I mean I would think that if my family was being filmed, I'd have some trust for the crew. Matt and Amy were also going thru issues at the time... I'm not making any excuses, just saying how I feel
@@Wxtst.3 molly was assaulted by the producer too... but whats really troubling is Matt and Amys continued participation with TLC after 2/3 of their children got molested .
A d cleaning his room or keeping him from soccer practice one night is enough to teach him a lesson over 2800.00? Was Matt crazy? His phone should have been taken away for a month at least & bought him a tract phone to keep for an emergency. He should have been made to work that money off...every penny of it. Amy was right to want to address the heart of the problem...his phone. Any kid would have laughed at having to clean their room one time for a 2800.00 phone bill. I'm glad there was at least one adult in that marriage.
I've just read a few comments in regards to this video and it's shocking. I'm a parent of three children and I will say this much, it's a privilege to have a cell phone, not a necessity. If my children can't respect the boundaries and responsibility of having a cell phone, then they don't need one. It's plainly obvious that a few of these comments are coming from teenagers who think that the world revolves around them. If you want things in life, don't demand them from your parents. Get a damn job and pay for it yourself. Then you will get a more understanding that money doesn't grow on tree.
8,000 texts in one month is ~267 texts per day. I send about 400-500 per month and consider myself a pretty frequent text messager. Sometimes that number can swell to over 600. But if the kid went from negligible messaging one month to over 8000 the next, something drastic changed in his life. Next season.... Jacob's girfriend.
Yano what’s crazy? 12 years later and 8,000 texts a month is NOTHING!! 😂 they don’t even charge per text anymore that’s how much people text nowadays..
what most dont realize is Molly and Jacob were assaulted by a member of the production crew... his behaviour fits in with someone who was violated innapropriately.
Gosh I remember my daughter did this to me. Only ours wasn't as high . I think she did 1500 texts I know the monthly bill was over 800 dollars and I flipped. In the trash is where her phone went.. she was warned and taught how to respect the phone and not to go over her limit. We don't have that kind of money. In our home you always get a second chance but that was her second chance.....,bye bye phone
Cleaning his room has nothing to do with him texting that much on his phone. When I was 12, the only reason I had a phone was because I was into a lot of sports in middle school and out side of school and had took a lot of trips and had to keep in contact with my parents to let them know that I was ok. If the bill is that high, I would of just cut his phone line off.
I didnt get my first phone until i was 12 and that was because i walked to my middle school on days that my parents couldnt take me to school or pick me up.
LMAO my lil gurl did the same thing, and my hubby figured she sent a text a minute for two weeks straight 16 hours a day .. thank goodies we have her on an unlimited plan now.
Binge watching seasons that I have never seen. I really like Amy’s hairstyle in this episode. The excessive texting happened in my family and thankfully AT&T removed the charges as a first time courtesy.
Unlimited texting is pretty much standard in all plans now. But a 12 year old with a phone, I got my first flip phone at 16 when I got my drivers license for emergency calls.
16 is a little old to be getting your first phone no offence... I got my first phone when I was 10 or 11... And I'm perfectly fine, it's the responsibility of the child that determines how they use it/overuse it
No I used a phone for emergency calls after I got a license in case an emergency occurred while driving I could call some one. Thought that was pretty straight forward and self explanatory.

It's not hard to figure out what to do here... no phone, no TV, no CD player, no MP3 player, no sports, no car, no rides, no socializing, no games, no parties, no school functions.... nothing.... until he gets off his ass, gets some work and pays it all back. If my kids had done something like that, they'd be grounded for life... and it would have been hard labor around the house until it's all paid off.
This is before unlimited texting and wifi messaging was a thing, now theres things like straight talk cause most plans have unlimited talk and text now
You take the phone away.. Give the kid a job so he has to pay back all the money... And tell him no more phone until we get you another one. Then get him one with limited texts and phone usage... And say once you are over.. you are done for the month.
Oh man I remember these days. Some parents actually paid these insane bills too.
"8000 teks... 8000 tek!"
Lol Ikr😂
Christopher Tradeshow yea
How can a boy do so many teks
😂😂😂
Hahaha
I don't think I've sent 8000 texts in the almost 12 years I've had a phone that can text

LOL 8000 texts.. divide by 30 days in a month is 266 texts s day. LOL
Divide by 31 days or 29 days or 28 days
Tbh I send that many but I have a plan of unlimited texts

Yikes
That was in a 2 wk span!
Good thing they have unlimited texting plans now
This was what ten to thirteen years ago. I remember cursing my nephew out because he was doing the same thing. Now everything is unlimited.

I know right. He was most likely going through it at this time with that sick producer. Wishing him all the best.

i hit 15,000 texts last month, thats why i have an unlimited texting plan... its better to pay for unlimited than pay for every text individually
They don’t have to share everything with all there kids. This texting problem handle it with only Jacob not Molly, Jeremy, and Zach
Bad parents. Matt gave him the freakin phone. “Make him clean his room.” Dumb parents....
Wauw thats a record.
with your immaculate spelling it is a wonder why people think it is a bad think that people like your sister have unlimited texting.
Can you make more about Jacob
Whats next catching jacob watching porn?
Haha ohh jacob. He goes to my school (: haha and my sister likes him. haha i see him at lunch.
That's around 571 text messages sent per day. 4000 text messages per wk.
I think maybe it was the cool thing and he tried to text as much as possible...
Wait how y’all track how much a person a text because everybody text alot
