Got this holster after seeing the add on Facebook. I use it for my Rock Island 1911 10mm, and works great. The tight mag pouch works great for single stack magazines. Retention is good. I've used it camping and hunting and never had a moment where I thought it would slip out.
I use one every day. I own 5 VersaCarry holsters for everything from the LCP to the J-frame, and all popular sizes of semi autos. I couldn't be more impressed with the style, workmanship, and price! I love leather holsters and these are darn good ones.

I was just looking for an inexpensive OWB belt slide holster. I saw the Facebook ad for 19.99. I went to their "Blemished" area and found the RAPID SLIDE for 18.99. I put it in the CART but didn't complete the purchase. A while later I received an email reminding me that I didn't complete the purchase and if I CHECK OUT NOW I get another 20% off! That brought it down to $15 and some change plus shipping total $20.94. Good for what I wanted. I do have a kydex IWB I wear on my hip for when I'm dressed up. Great review!
Bought one of these holsters because I like that it is a basically a universal holster and has an integrated mag pouch. Still waiting for it to arrive.
Just got one of these.Cannot beat it for $25 shipped.Took about a week for mine to be delivered.Yes the mag pouch isnt the greatest design but overall it is a well made product.
I just got mine today for my Glock g30 and immediately saw this video haha. I saw you mentioned the magazine pouch being way too tight I searched up a video on how to stretch leather and it actually helped a lot making this holster way better. The thing you gotta do is soak the magazine pouch side with a 1 part water and 1 part isopropyl alcohol mixture and shove your magazine in the pouch as much as you can. I saw results within the hour.

Have one for my Ruger Sec9 n it fits my firearm n mag perfectly.
Checking these out after seeing Instagram ad for 20 bucks. Already have IWB and OWB kydex for my PT111. Don't like how far away from the body my OWB is, so thinking of picking this one up. It looks like it sits very tight to the body, and therefore better for ccw. I don't mind the strong side mag holder because it's better to have than not carry my weak side carrier. Not tactical, but practical as they say.

I bought it for a S&W M&P 40 cal subcompact. Again, it is early, but the holster feels great!!
I have that holster system for my S&W 6906 and have had no issues with the holster or the mag portion. I find the magazine stays in well and is not too tough to get out. I believe it will only get better as it wears. I find the system very comfortable to wear for long lengths of time. I wear mine frequently in a concealed manor.
Glad you mentioned that. I also bought mine for a "conceal-manor." I've had difficulty trying to find an IWB holster that is comfortable.
Just got mine in the mail today for my Glock 41. So far I like it, looks good and comfortable to wear.

Just bought a Commander OWB holster ($19.99) and a spare magazine pouch ($4.99) including shipping and taxes all for $32.00 on the Versacarry’s web site. Can’t beat that price and I personally don’t mind the tight fit especially how I work while carrying.
I got one for my ranch pistol and I ended up putting some tape around my mag and put it in overnight to stretch it out

I have two Commander holsters. They work well for EDC. I might get an IWB holster with a separate mag pouch. Still thinking about it. Concealment is actually pretty good, as the fit is close to the body. Thank you for the review.
I made my holsters from tooling leather. I wrap the firearm with several layers of plastic wrap, Soak the leather with water and form the leather around the firearm. If it fits too tight after it dries, I wrap the firearm with plastic again get the leather wet again and let it dry with the firearm in the holster wrapped with the plastic wrap to keep the firearm dry. This procedure may work for you as well.
How do you form it around the weapon?
@@jetjaguar4285 I already explained how I do it. I used vegetable tanned tooling leather. When soaked in water it is very easily formed around a pattern. As I already said, to keep the handgun safe from getting wet, I wrapped it in common plastic wrap and used it to form the holster around the handgun.

Nice video and review. The only thing I disagree with his your view on the mag holster. I have several of the 'stand alone' mag holsters from Versa as well as their gun holster... and they are great. I don't have the gun and mag combo holster for the reason/problems you stated. When you are reaching across your body to pull out the mag, you will inevitably have more tension because of the angle you are pulling. If you have the stand alone mag holster that would be on your left side of the waste (for right-handed people), you are pulling straight up and not at an angle. Just my view and opinion.
Wrap that plastic around the slide and insert into the holster, that'll help it fit better

I have the commander and I would say it's "good". That is all, just good.
I use a safariland for EDC, so it's very different than my normal. I use it for full size Fridays, open carry.

Can u just leave the gun in the hoster for 1 or 2 week to break in the hoster to be more loose?

If you don't have anything against Kydex I'd highly recommend them. If you want an IWB holster even cheap Kydex ones on Amazon work well.

The easiest way to brake in a holster is to wrap it in wax paper with the wax slippery side outside the firearm. put that in your holster working it a few times. Leave it overnight or longer depending on how you like it. Done
Just bought one for my Ruger Security 9 and it works great. Like yours, it's just basically just a folded over flap of leather. I worked mine back and forth a bit to loosen the leather and it draws great. How do I get the leather to form to the pistol a bit better?
I left my Glock in the holster for several days for it to form to shape.

Put the pistol and mag in then leave it for a few days. After that just do some draw cycles while watching TV.
Took over a month to get mine. I thought it was a scam as you'd sit on VM, it would count down, then dump you into VM. Its nice but when they didnt ship on time - or let me know it was going to take over a month.

I did. It went from impossible to fit to just a very tight fit. I don't think it was built with the larger 45 cal mag in mind.

Use some glove oil to soften it up.

Purchased for my S&W Shield. It's not a bad looking holster. But if you want it to secure your firearm these holsters are not for you. In my opinion they are only good for looks. Also, customer service is horrible.

Versacarry holsters are generic. They offer the option of picking your specific firearm when choosing the size for your firearm. Don't trust this feature when choosing your size. I did. It was wrong. After contacting customer service they insisted it was the correct size. Even after I sent them several pictures showing otherwise. I could have returned it. Their restocking fee was more than half the price of the holster. Inferior product & crap customer service.
When the manufacturer tells you not to carry your gun loaded in its holster red flag. It's garbage!
