Me personally I would miss the manual trans. I’ve done the manual to auto swap before and then got really bored with the car. TKX is my recommendation unless it’s going to be a drag ONLY car.
I am sticking with the manual on mine. This is a 90's era car and manual was the only way to go in a sports car in the 90's. I could really use a video on tightening up the steering on a 94-95 if anyone has tips for that problem. 👍
I would love your channel more if you ran injection, but it's still cool. I have about a hundred less horsepower and torque in my 94 vert ( voertech supercharged), and I went thru 3 T5's before switching to a TKO and Macleod puck clutch. It has held up for numerous 11.8 runs with no problems throughout the years. Good luck on whatever you pick tranny wise , my mustang is named Stango
The Holley sniper is fuel injection but it’s more of a throttle body injection system but I’ve also been looking into the tkx trans that’s out now and I lot of people love them
Man love your videos I can relate so much with you around the same age have kids and a family as well and love this drag racing stuff used to go to “mexico” a lot back in the day and started trucking so don’t have as much time anymore but watching you takes me back and gets me pumped trying to get another project car good luck with your venture and keep up the good work
I definitely invest in some frame rail connectors and I wouldn’t worry to much about block splitting you would be surprised what I’ve seen these engines take it’s all in harmonics that’s why anyone making decent horse power needs to have a good harmonic balancer that’s what will make them live thanks for the video can’t wait to see the car come along even more
Personally I say stay manual. Automatics in my opinion is for family cars "dailys". I like the driving experience with manuals any day the automatic you mentioned you said cost $4,000 ish I'd say go with a tremec tko 600 5 speed buying that with all other parts that might be needed if you can't run current serten parts to make it work your looking at about $3,000... thats what I'm looking to put in my 95 gt definitely think the pros out weight the cons for a more "budget friendly"
I’ve thought about that but I’d have to buy a trans mount a bell housing a clutch and a yoke for the driveshaft, total on the tkx comes out to around 4K with a good twin disc
Surprised to see the stock lowers on your car still. Tip from my experience in my 97. Upgrade the lowers, leave uppers stock lol. At least for daily driving. Poly upper made mine a rough riding noisy bitch once I did both 😆
I’m wanting to go c4 myself as I’ve read it’s one of the lightest ford autos and has the least parasitic loss. Not completely sure how true that is. Is there a laundry list of stuff they need to make them hold power?
Hey slow down, I'm trying to write all of this down lol Just found your channel. Subbed and liked. Love onyx man he is a champ.

Hey man I appreciate it a ton!
Yes on the G -Force or maybe a TKO600

Stick shift for ever bud
Put a t56 nice car btw love your project
G Force 👌🏾.
That's one thing i didn't get rid of when i traded was my Torque Box kit from upr.
Also get an extra set of cheap wheels and throw a real Hoosier slick on there your cut your 60ft real quick
Going from a 07 gt to a 98 gt. That's my biggest concern is transmission. Especially do hate having a cable rather than an hydraulic one
The drag pack wheels look great do you have the size info on the wheels. I don't want to buy a set that are to wide for the rear.
Libertys built TKX. Love my Libertys built TKO 500.
Honestly if you're going to spend 2k or more..id go with a TKX. Brew2l loves his.
I’ve thought about that but I’d have to buy a trans mount a bell housing a clutch and a yoke for the driveshaft, total on the tkx comes out to around 4K with a good twin disc
@@lollis_garage3683 ive seen the kits with bellhousing and all for like 3500 occasionally.
Has your car ever over heated with the Mods you have? Even with the Nitrous?
Have you looked into Team Z upper control arms or Maximum Motorsports torque arm?
I’m looking into all different option right now and gonna see what’s what. 👍🏼
Real race cars have 3 pedals keep the manual shift. Do the upgrades. Now days not to many people can drive them. But it's your car your choice.
This is true 🤔
What's the full exhaust setup
Do the c4 you won't regret it
I need to beef up my t5 as well Im going to check out the G Force upgrade kit that you were talking about. What website is it on?
It’s best just to call gforce and talk to a rep that’s what I did! 👍🏼
@@lollis_garage3683 how much did ya pay for it ? Mines already got the steel bearing retainer and the cluster support in it already .
Surprised to see the stock lowers on your car still. Tip from my experience in my 97. Upgrade the lowers, leave uppers stock lol. At least for daily driving. Poly upper made mine a rough riding noisy bitch once I did both 😆
It’s not a daily so he’s getting them! 😂
@@lollis_garage3683 Lol I figured. Mine has 4.56 gears now so not a daily anymore either 😆
G4 all the way
Manual trans allll the way
I’m wanting to go c4 myself as I’ve read it’s one of the lightest ford autos and has the least parasitic loss. Not completely sure how true that is. Is there a laundry list of stuff they need to make them hold power?
Yes its definitely one of the lightest and doesn’t have a ton of parasitic loss but unfortunately yes it takes some money for them to hold up.
Hell hit the subscribe button if you didnt like what you saw 😁
I would go with G force
First
What about a 4r70w?
I’ve looked into it but from what I’ve seen it’s more costly than the c4
Tkx or tko?
The tkx is heavy on my mind as well
Idk how that t5 has handled all of that😂 my t5 is on its last leg lmao
I pray A LOT! 😂
If you want to be fast ls swap it!!
I want to be fast not gay!
Tkx is what I am going with check out neo mustangs chanel about it
I’ve also been looking into those it’s a little more money than the gforce but there all around the same price
@@lollis_garage3683 he's running nines with it so
