- This is the horrifying moment a 36-year-old man went on a stabbing rampage in a residential area in Hainaut for more than 20 minutes just before 7am on Tuesday morning.
A 14-year-old boy killed in the attack while on his way to school has been named as Daniel Anjorin.
He attended Bancroft’s School and was described as a “much loved” student by the head teacher.
Four others, including two police officers, were also injured.

The further back you go, the easier it was to get away with crime. So more people were doing it, and less people were getting caught.
Now everyone has a camera (phone), and every street has a camera, and we have biosensors and can identify people
based off hair, fluids, fingerprints ect.
Things are definitely better now, we just need better systems in place so that criminally insane people aren't free to do this sort of thing.

The first two police on scene got attacked and injured. The following police managed to contain him and to my knowledge prevented further assaults, until they managed to safely box him in and take him down. Firearms units arrived at the same time (luckily for him or he would have most provably been shot dead).
CS spray - no, it’s now PAVA (pepper spray), and it’s not always effective. Only about 10-15% of officers carry a taser, and clearly it was either not carried by the first two attending officers, not used or ineffective also.
