Songs were hard to get going tbf...only a couple of choruses of COYI and Bubbles really rocked it. Unsurprising considering the amount of tourists and first timers. Don't get me wrong...a lot of youngsters will have been at their first game last night and will have loved that. To be fair there aren’t many clubs with full houses for L ague Cup 4th round games…City included. And, practically, a 60K full house at that! I’m not down on Man City at all. Far from it as I used to stand in the Kippax in the ‘80’s with my school mates who were fans but West Ham fans can’t really be criticised. We’re as fiercely loyal as any team in the country.

You should respect the work Moyes has done turning Benny into a proper player. His workrate off the ball has improved ten fold this season. He has gone from a showboater, into a really solid footballer, because Moyes has made him understand the work you need to do to really be a complete footballer.

David Beckham is a right footed conventional winger, Yarma is a left footed inverted winger. Beckham has the 8th Highest assists in the prem 80, Yarma has......2. Yes, just 2.
Yarma does NOT either score or set up, he has 5 goals in 55 prem appearances for us over the last 3 seasons (all of which came 3 seasons ago) and he has 2 assists.....
I have no issue with him being in the squad or starting in euro / cup games but he is light years behind our current front 4. He WAS a quality player but he lost the yard of pace he never really had in the first place.
